The three events of the 2010 Mega Stack Challenge had lots of action. Event #1 attracted 724 players for a prize worth over $210K. The winner was Maurice Hawkins, who pocketed almost $38K. He beat out James Nelson heads-up, but Nelson was well rewarded with $30K for second place.
In Event #2 only 351 players showed up for the action. The shorter field only created a $170K prize pool, but the action was still plenty fierce. In the end it was Tou Kue who had all the poker chips and walked away with nearly $27K. He beat out Scot MacKenzie in the heads-up battle, sending MacKenzie along to the rail in short order.
The Main Event had 224 players playing for a prize pool of $326k. This event was won by Dwyte Pilgrim, who got a $50K-plus check for his finish. Pilgrim beat up on Micah Raskin, who finished second for $50K of his own.

In the constant efforts to get online poker and gambling legalized in the United States, a new bill was introduced by lawmakers. Senators Ron Wyden and Judd Gregg made efforts to advance their Bipartisan Tax Fairness and Simplification Act, which focuses on a number of issues, including the taxation and regulation of internet wagering on a national level.
The legislation, known as S3018, will replace the Alternative Minimum Tax and provide tax breaks on a mainstream level. The bill addresses the areas and taxation and regulation of online poker in the United States.

To get into the private forum members needs to get upgraded. To get upgraded you need to post and discuss things related to any topics on ixgames (creating topics or posting in others members threads).
Eventually you will get upgraded.
At that moment you will be able to post your poker screen name/account name in a poker room thread inside the private forum. We will then add you to the poker player list for the poker tournaments and all future ones AS LONG as you keep some activity on the forums.
If members after getting upgraded stops being active on the forums they risk losing their spot in the poker freeroll.
We dont pressure members to climb mount everest just some activity.
If you really like the community, after a while you will come here automatically and things will run by itself.
If you want to get included faster and dont have a poker account at a particular poker room, just send a private message to admin or mods with your newly created account name/screen name (NOT PASSWORD) and get added to the list. You need to signup at the poker reviews at ixgames and not at any other website.

Lawmakers in Iowa thrashed out the issue of legalized online poker and gambling, with suggestions being made that the state could become the first in the country to introduce this concept. Rep. Doug Struyk said that if Iowa wants to take the lead in the introduction of online poker, the time was ripe to make these changes.

Sunday night is my regular poker game at the local bar. I had some upseting news earlier in the day, and took half a Xanax. The game starts at 7PM, and I usually don't eat first. I lasted about two hours in the game, and drank my usual pitcher of beer, plus one more glass that somebody bought me. I came home and fixed something to eat, and decided to play a 10 cent SNG while I ate. I didn't get any cards, and made it to the first break. Early on, I got a pair of sixes, played Donkey Bingo, caught trips and tripled up. I caught myself passing out a couple of times, so I went all in with A7. Flop comes up A7, and I double up again. Then I passed out again, woke up with Q6, went all-in again, flopped two 6's and a queen on the river, and tripled up. I felt l was going to puke, so I took my dog for a walk to get some fresh air. When I came back 40 minutes later, I had finished 17th and made 30 cents.

Visa and MasterCard have both suspended the use of credit card transactions that fund online gambling accounts. The move comes in advance of the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act that will require credit card issuers and processors to suspend the accounts of merchants and customers involved in online gambling. The Act is set to become law in June.
Many lawmakers have voiced concerns over the new rules since the law will prevent state lottery and casino boards from authorizing legal online gambling programs.
Veteran online gamblers have already begun to create alternative methods to fund online gambling accounts including retail cashiers and third-party processors.
