About 7 Card Stud
Before Texas Hold'em became one of the most popular card games in the United States, 7 card stud first held this place. It is a skill game that brings much excitement to online and live poker room players. The excitement in playing 7 card stud is experienced most especially during showdowns or the revelation of cards at the end of each round.
Playing 7 card stud
7 card stud is one of the varieties of stud poker. And just like in Texas Hold'em, people play for the pot in 7 card stud. The pot is the collection of play chips or real money taken from contributions of betting players. Unlike in Texas hold'em, however, seven cards are dealt to each player. Two face up cards and one face down card are dealt initially and are then followed by a round of betting.
Players can fold, bet, call, or raise, depending on their face up cards and the face down cards they think they have. After the first round of betting, three more face up cards are dealt alternately with three more betting rounds. Finally, a last card is dealt face down and players bet for the last time. It's not exactly a category poker players want to find themselves stuck in but there were some pretty big online poker losers.
Denmark's Gus Hansen was crushed and he intends to take some time off in 2010. He made $3 million in the first month, mostly off Tom Dwan, then proceeded to lose almost exclusively for the remainder of the year, dipping into the $6 million range.
And speaking of Tom "Durrrr" Dwan, he's another of online poker's big losers of 2009. His year began by losing over $4 million in the first two months, only to grind back up to over $1.4 million in profit just four months later. Isildur1 would later take him for over $5 million.
(Not everyone was an online poker loser in 2009. Both Phil Ivey and Patrik Antonius were among the biggest winners with Antonius up around $9 million).

Well been playing a few tourneys omaha i am fairly new to this been a holdem player and was talked into giving omaha a try kinda of like the swings in the game and hi lo is totally a trip [2 hands can win wow] well heres a screen shot of first 2 omaha tourneys not much in cash but hey itm is a good thing .
$1.20 in doyles and $3.10 on playersonly wish i didnt fall asleep in the players only lol .

Hey CONGRATS! It took me MONTHS to get comfortable with the game and i can't really say that I actually am still but learning to like it more and its nice to mix up game play a bit... I love NLHE but after all variety IS supposed to be the spice of life! LOL

If there’s one poker tournament that continues to gain more attention every year it’s the Aussie Millions. The New Year is the start of the grind for the big name poker professionals, and the Aussie Millions always kicks off a new poker season in a big way. This year there will be 20 events played from Jan 14 to 31. Besides the $10,500 Main Event starting on Jan 24, the list of tournaments includes a $10,500 Pot Limit Omaha event and a high roller $100,500 PL/NLHE event starting on Jan 23.
Most events are $1,100 or less to play, and there will be everything from shootout, mixed games, and heads-up action open for registration. This year’s Main Event is expected to attract nearly 800 entrants and should have a first-place prize of close to two million Australian dollars. I final got the game to everyone was telling me it like Holdem but i couldnt get then i find out it u can only use three of the board cards and two of your hold cards lol now its pretty easy fun game to play but not in freerolls because alot of people dont understand the game and play any thing to the river and win every time ouch😡😡 and ways gl on the tables with the game

Poker players alliance is a strong organization with one million members that represent poker players in the United States. The PPA is now preparing to legalize online gambling in the USA. This will revolutionize the way online gambling is looked at until now. New legislations and tax regulations may apply for playing online poker which will affect the status of millions of online poker players across the globe.
(This time, more importance and weightage is given to HR2267 to legalize online gaming which will be the biggest step).

First up is the EPT Caribbean Adventure Main Event, scheduled to get underway on January 5. Last year's $10,000 buy-in Main Event attracted 1,347 entrants and paid out a whopping $3 million to eventual winner Poorya Nazari. The attraction of this event is obvious as it takes place during one of the coldest months of the year at the Atlantis Casino and Resort in the Bahamas. In fact, sign us up right now… we do not do the cold well. Expect qualifier numbers and attendee numbers to be up from last year and stay tuned here for updates from the tournament.
Also drawing big numbers due to its destination-style appeal for most poker players is the Aussie Millions Main Event, scheduled for January 24 in Melbourne, Australia, at the Crown Casino. The 2009 iteration of this tournament saw 681 players turn over their $10,000 buy-in with Stewart Scott managing to wrap up the $2 million first-place prize with a victory over the huge field.
The 2009 WPT Southern Poker Championships drew out 283 players, all who ponied up the $10,000 buy-in for the Championship Event, generating a $2.66 million prize pool. The winner, Allen Carter, took home the $1 million first-place prize.
