Playtech, the Aim quoted online gaming company, has agreed to pay its founder and largest shareholder nearly £5.6m per year in a series of deals which have raised eyebrows amongst some analysts in advance of an expected move to London’s main market this summer.

One in three Americans believes winning the lottery is the only way to get rich, and as our economy weakens, that number is only increasing. While it’s discouraging to see the American Dream devolve into a game of luck, it’s even more upsetting that the Obama administration has further empowered state lottery bosses to profit off of vulnerable communities by unilaterally legalizing online gambling.

A new petition has been posted that is asking United States lawmakers to pass legislation that would regulate online poker.
The petition, started by the Poker Players Alliance, a lobbying group in the U.S., is aimed at a dozen Republicans in the hopes of persuading them of the need for online poker regulation.

Administration officials say revenue generated from the expanded gambling opportunities would allow them to eliminate $4 million in slot machine fees paid by the casinos and cut their annual table game fees from $6.75 million to $3 million.
The casinos would pledge in return to spend an amount equal to those cuts on traditional business expenses such as marketing, capital improvements and debt reduction.
Rep. John Viola, D-Newark, chief House sponsor of the bill, said it represents "the next logical step" in the evolution of Delaware's gambling industry.

House Bill #333 authorizes internet gaming under the control and operation of the Delaware Lottery.
According to the bill, "Internet lottery games would be offered solely to persons within the State of Delaware at the current time. A person's location would be determined from a person's computer or mobile device."

Online poker players are familiar with Black Friday, that was on April 15, 2011, when the federal government closed down internet poker in the United States. Since that time internet gambling has been illegal in the United States.
Since Black Friday numerous states have discussed and debated various aspects of internet gaming. There has been talk on Capital Hill to establish federal guidelines for online gambling and federal laws have been proposed to legalize online poker.
