Just to let everyone know, I was told this morning by Carbon staff that the Refer-A-Friend program they run is currently unavailable and they may have another promotion in the future for Refer-A-Friend...Ticks me off, but oh well.

Carbon Pokers 50K weekly tournament field is getting smaller and smaller. This past sunday, the field was 245 players with 50 places paying out. Carbon Poker lost $13,400.00 on this tournament. YahtzeeFish taking first place and $11,250. Not bad for 6 hours of play.
You can get into this tournament for free by:
Winning the daily 50K Satellite Freeroll (ran twice a day at 10:15 server time and 18:15 server time)
Placing in the top 4 in the weekly Twitter Freeroll (Saturdays at 14:30 server time)
Or you can play in the 50K VIP Pt. Satellite (ran twice a day at 11:00 server time and 17:30 server time)

Good Luck, See ya on the felt...Respect your fellow poker players

Hi gang just thought i would pass this info on to you.
i played the doyles bounty back when they were on microgaming and got a full refund as per their offer for first time bounty players in the big game.
shortly after their move to the cake net i eemailed and spoke to support on the phone and they told me i could play the bounty again for free.so i did and again got a full refund of my buyin,.
had a great time and cashed at both games and got a full refund for both but sadly i never got to sit at a table with any of the bounties.
maybe this deal could work for you too contact support and see could be well worth it:thumbsup

I like the fact we dont need to fish for a password anymore and it keeps the non members out. BUT....no unregister is the downside. Perhaps this option could be added. It seems a bit trivial but it is useful especially if you have dial up and you are involved in multiple large tourneys. I unfortunately live in the sticks and only have dial up access. Given a choice I will still take the current no password format. The benifits out weigh the downside.

Think it also makes sense to have the unregister option for those people who know they will not be able to make the game and want to save the other players the time and effort of blinding them down and out. . .

The only downside to that is that the number of paying places will shrink as people unregister, but the %-age to cash should remain about the same. . .

There is a 126 person heads-up tournament at the end of the month for the Turkey Jackpot promotion. Carbon Poker threw in $2,500.00 into the jackpot and with only 4 days into the tournament, the Jackpot now sits over $6,000.00. By the way things are going, this Jackpot is going to be well over $50,000.00. WOW This is going to make one exciting heads-up tournament at the end of the month.

Just redeemed one of those ixgames tickets at pdc poker and thanks by the way. But lol what a fast ending. Checking the list after I was the first one OUT.

So what happened 😟

This was a short handed, $1000 guaranteed, deep stack tournament (pdc poker).

My 2nd hand in the tournament and the one that busted me.

HAND - ace-ace

Used to see 2 aces all-in pre flop not go the whole way. So I just called

FLOP - 7-7-7

3 players saw the flop

I decided no one of these 2 other players had a seven. Hoped for someone have a pair (Mine was at top).

ALL-IN

1 folded and 1 called, I was just waiting to see a low pair lol, why else would he call my all-in.

He had 7-8

Abrubt ending and a little sad I didnt get a chance to do anything else. Dont think I would change anything though.

I think most of you on this board would go all-in

Short handed, 3 players seeing the flop, cmon

Please comment :crying

Please comment :cryingI would have pushed all-in also in that situation, but I myself would have raised pre-flop to 240. Sorry to hear everything didn't work out that well. We have another tournament wendesday with 3 more $11 coupons to give away.

Well, from my point of view there is really isn't -- or shouldn't be anyway -- any reason to be all-in on the 2nd hand of a tournament for ANY hand. . .

But in this case, you should definitely have put in a nice raise preflop and tried to get some people out of the hand. Depending on the player the 78 might have folded and your slow play wouldn't have backfired. [Then again, maybe s/he wouldn't.]

Even all-in after the flop would be a mistake with that flop as far as I'm concerned one or more called your raise pre as someone could have the quads and if you're all-in there's no getting those chips back [unless its a rebuy].

So, slow playing was a mistake; throwing all in at this stage of the tournament is equally a mistake in my eyes. . .

But, as AA said, there's always next week to try to get another one and try for a better result. . .
