PartyGaming, the company behind the powerhouse poker site Party Poker, are in a buoyant mood following another increase in profits over the last nine months. The poker giants saw an 11% rise to $112.7 million in their profits over the third quarter of this year, even though the summer period is usually the slowest for the industry.

That's pretty awesome. I am a FTP player myself, but I do enjoy the occasional Pokerstars format. I gave PokerStars a chance during the summer...no deposits, but I did play in a freeroll and ended up cashing. It was great, I used the 2 bucks to play their $1 double or nothing 1 table SNG and began to build a roll.

Congrats to pokerstars.

I do not know many RAZZ players, bc most people can't get enough of the lovely NLHE....but I was wondering, does anyone here on IX GAMES...play RAZZ😟

embeded-image

I have noticed that FTP pro MANDY B plays micro low stakes .05/.10 razz all the time. Almost daily and nightly. I love it. Does anyone else play too? If not, come play! She's not a shark or anything bc she is learning to also become as expert in RAZZ like she in in NLHE. She plays razz while she waits for her tournaments to start. She plays the TURBO HUNDO multiple times a week (too bad my BR is nowhere close to being able to play that!) and many others so it's pretty exciting to watch her play.

Lots of people hate on her, but why? Full Tilt says she is a pro, give her the respect she deserves and earned!!

I play poker ONLY bc of an article I read about her..I absolutely love her and hope she receives more and more success as time goes on. She is also a gamer on the WII...she plays mario cart religiously. Check her out! Mandy B's BLOG. (she doesn't blog much, but if you come play and generate interest she will!)

COME PLAY RAZZ!

The Poker Stars Asia Pacific Tour went to Auckland and the Main Event drew in 128 players today to create a total of 263 players. The number of players is down from last year but the $209,085 NZD first place prize is still nothing to sneeze at.

Party Poker and Matchroom Sport, the headline sponsors behind the upcoming World Open V, have revealed new details about the poker tournament, including some of the big names who will be in attendance and some major changes to the tournament structure. The tournament is set to take place from October 11th-15th at the Palm Beach Casino in London, England.

Mike Sexton, Ian Frazer, Felipe Ramos, Remy Biechel and newly signed Bodo Sbrzesny would all be playing, but a statement released on Thursday unveiled a long list of big name pros joining them for the tournament.

Online satellites to win a seat into the televised event are still running on Party Poker. Players can win their way into the tournament for as little as $3.

It seems that poker icon Doyle Brunson watches television, and based on what he has seen from two high profile network shows relating to poker, he just does not like what he is seeing.

On his blog, Brunson stated that........No disrespect intended, but these poker shows are awful. Full Tilts Face the Ace and Poker Stars Million Dollar Challenge are so bad, its embarrassing. There is no skill involved in either show and I cannot imagine getting an audience that will watch the shows.

Anyone play Seven Card Stud on Full Tilt poker? Ever realize they mix up the the showdown hand? This ruins the the outlook of play one's hand selection if your an opponent in the hand. Poker Stars doesn't mix up the configuration of open board cards dealt to other players. This can prove to be a significant disadvantage. One is unable to utilize player notes while in table play. Thumbs down for Full Tilt. Bummer.
