Just checked out twitter this morning and saw this message:
Bodog Congrats to Jason "@dirtpuller" G., our first #WSOP #BTT Winner! Good luck in this Sunday's 10 seat guaranteed Jason! Win A $500 2010 WSOP Qualifier Ticket Via Twitter! - Bodog Beat
Had to answer the following question:
What was the 2nd event added to the WSOP and what year was it added?
Answer 5 card stud in 1973
They did a random drawing and my name was chosen.
Odd thing was I only started being active on twitter about a week ago when Phil Laak was going for world record for most hours playing poker. I started following poker pros in addition to bodog.
I played in the first 10 seat gtd and have been trying to saty my way into this one. This could not have been easier (or cheaper). Hope to have a story to tell if i can make it to the main event.
Thanks to let us know.

You’ll get a Bodog Poker swag bag stuffed to the gills with items that’ll make you stand out from the rest of the crowd. You’ll also have access to a dedicated handler that’ll make sure your WSOP visit goes as smoothly as possible.
Your Path To WSOP Glory
It’s happened before: a player on an online poker site has gotten into the Main Event by entering a $1 tournament like our Cheap Seat Event. From the Cheap Seat, you have access to our Main Event Quarter Final and then Main Event Semi Final tournaments before the Main Event Satellite that offers up the seat you covet! This path is great for people willing to play the long game without risking a bundle.
However, you might be a midrange player who’s confident in their abilities but doesn’t have the bankroll to buy directly into our Main Event Satellite. That’s why we offer our $50+5 Main Event Semi Final tournaments. You get to shorten your path to the WSOP and save money at the same time with this option.
Finally, you can just buy in directly to this weekend’s final Main Event Satellite for $470+30. This saves you time and gets you in on the action with no muss or fuss! If you’re serious about getting in on the WSOP and want to save your energy for the tables there, this is the best bet.
Want to get started? Visit the Bodog Poker WSOP page for more details and a schedule! Find out what players like Alper Sar (who walked away with $57,991 last year) have already known: Bodog makes poker dreams a reality with our aggressive WSOP schedule that levels the playing field in ways that other online poker rooms can’t!

With the WSOP in town, the nosebleed stakes online poker action is just not the same. Most of the regulars are either playing in WSOP events or they’re over at Bobby’s Room putting their cash game skills to work in a live environment. Only the purest breed of online poker players have stayed behind to provide action at Full Tilt’s high stakes tables. Ilari “Ziigmund” Sahamies certainly fits that description, and we wouldn’t possibly consider Isildur1 anything else either. The two players locked horns at the PLO tables, and knowing Isildur1’s PLO history, the result of the heads-up battle doesn’t really come as a surprise to anyone.

Ouch !!
Isildur1 drops more cash.
I wonder if anyone is keeping track of who is playing in the WSOP and the timing of when Isildur1 is playing online. Thereby eliminating players one by one to determine the true identity of Isildur1.

Just a thought.
Hilton received an email from a reader who claimed to have had attended one of Elizabeth's home poker games last Friday.
A portion of the email read, “We at first think it’s really a treat to be playing poker with her, but it turns out she’s not even playing, she’s just coming in and out and collecting money from people and taking an illegal rake for the house. One pot I was in had only $70 dollars in it, but the dealer took $25 dollars out for the house…..? Anyone who plays poker knows this is nuts.”
In the post, which was titled, "Shannon Elizabeth is NOT Going to Like This!" Hilton writes, "Holy shiz, if this is true, then shame on you, Shannon Elizabeth."
However, Elizabeth's rep claims the story is bogus – as the email had specified that the game went down last Friday – when Shannon Elizabeth was in Las Vegas for the WSOP. What do you think? Should Hilton apologize to Shannon Elizabeth?
If you missed out on your chance to qualify for the WSOP with Bodog, don't worry – Bodog's Mini Series of Poker tournament goes down July 5th-17th, where you can be the first person to win your seat to next year's WSOP.

The hearing time for Senate Bill 1484 has been set for 3:30 p.m. in Room 3191 in the state Capitol.
The committee chaired by state Sen. Rod Wright, D-Inglewood, will convene its meeting at 1:30 p.m.
The Morongo Band of Mission Indians, which operates Morongo Casino Resort Spa near Cabazon, is a proponent of intrastate online poker in the state but on Monday noted its opposition to the measure in its present form.
Because more than 20 pending measures are expected to be heard that day, the online legislation has been given a special order of business status. That guarantees a hearing start time for 3:30 p.m.

"Garcia arranged and paid for everything for me. Looking back, I can't believe I let myself be lured. I hardly knew that guy. It was just a setup," the accused murderer told the press, as if there was no way to trace his financial records and transactions.
For the record, the FBI is sticking to the same story they have had since van der Sloot got in touch with Natalee Holloway's mother last month: the young man told Beth Tweety that he would tell her the location of her daughter's body if she wired him $25,000. Van der Sloot is the last person to have seen the young woman alive in 2005 and was the subject of an intense investigation by law enforcement around the globe. Van der Sloot absconded with Tweety's money and fled to Lima, where hwas to play in an upcoming poker tournament. While there, he was seen entering a hotel room with Stephany Flores and leaving without her a couple of days before her body was found by the housecleaning staff.
In addition to accusing the FBI of framing him for Flores's murder (because that is something that the FBI frequently does,) van der Sloot is also claming that the police in South America coerced him into confessng to her murder.
For the record, van der Sloot's mother claims that he is mentally ill and was about to enter treatment before leaving for South America.

The thorn in every poker player's side, Joran van der Sloot, is now claiming that he has been framed for the murder of Stephany Flores in a Lima hotel room a few weeks ago. The world's most infamous poker pro told a Dutch newspaper that he was lured to Peru by an FBI agent operating under the name of Garcia.
"Garcia arranged and paid for everything for me. Looking back, I can't believe I let myself be lured. I hardly knew that guy. It was just a setup," the accused murderer told the press, as if there was no way to trace his financial records and transactions.

He makes me angry :warning
I'm not sure if he is a psychopath or not but he sure does exhibit those behaviors.
Psychopathy is a personality disorder characterized by an abnormal lack of empathy combined with strongly amoral conduct, masked by an ability to appear outwardly normal. Neither psychopathy, nor the similar concept of sociopathy, are nowadays defined in international diagnostic manuals, which instead describe a category of antisocial/dissocial personality disorder. However, researcher Robert Hare, whose Hare Psychopathy Checklist is widely used, describes psychopaths as "intraspecies predators" as does R.I. Simon. Elsewhere Hare and others write that psychopaths "use charisma, manipulation, intimidation, sexual intercourse and violence" to control others and to satisfy their own needs. Hare states that: "Lacking in conscience and empathy, they take what they want and do as they please, violating social norms and expectations without guilt or remorse".
He previously stated that: "What is missing, in other words, are the very qualities that allow a human being to live in social harmony"

SB622, which was included in a gambling deal with the Seminole Indian tribe, will essentially change the amount of money allowed to be staked at poker rooms around the state. At present there are 23 of these state sanctioned rooms in Florida.
While previous betting limits were $5 with a mere $100 maximum buy in for cash games, the most immediate changes will see no limit poker legal in all 23 poker rooms.
The changes in the poker laws are expected to attract professional players seeking high stake poker games at excellent locations. In addition, it is expected that TV tournaments will also relocate to Florida, thanks to the new rules.
In the meantime, Seminole Casinos are upping their marketing hype in the hope of attracting poker fans to their establishments when the new legislation kicks in.
Thanks to the Florida Legislature and Seminole Tribal Council, the changes will mean that the casinos will be able to offer “all in, all the time” action at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casinos in Hollywood and Tampa. Also included are the Seminole Casinos in Coconut Creek, Hollywood, Brighton and Immokalee.
These casinos will be allowed, under the new laws, to offer no limit, high stakes poker 24 hours a day and 7 days a week. There are currently 1,360 poker seats offered at these six casinos.
All the other poker rooms that are found at horse tracks, dog tracks and jai alai frontons, will be allowed to be open for 18 hours a day (maximum) on weekdays.

Poker analysts have found that after one month of seeing the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act (UIGEA) being officially implemented in the United States, nothing much has changed for poker players and poker sites as a whole.
