Three former senior executives from MasterCard are betting that lawmakers will soon regulate legalized Internet gambling here and have set up shop to facilitate wagers as a U.S.-subsidiary for a United Kingdom payments processor.
UC Group Ltd, the parent of SecureTrading, released a statement today saying it is poised to provide “safe financial transactions and required consumer protections” in the United States in anticipation of federal legislation.
The announcement by the U.K. processor comes only days after online poker rooms and other gambling sites started reporting that MasterCard – and in fewer cases, Visa, the top payments facilitator – are blocking the placement of financial transactions. Although the sites offer other payment services for wagering, losing the two payments giants would strike a major blow to their operations.

France is trying to put in place the mechanism for licensing and regulation of online gambling before the Soccer World Cup. The draft law has already been approved by the National Assembly, which is the lower house of parliament, and is currently being scrutinized by the Senate. :thumbsup

The proponents to online gambling have been gearing up to push HR 2267 through congress. Lobby groups, political action committees, and private citizens have all been working toward the passage of this bill. As an alternative method of taxation and a solid means of entertainment, legal USA online gambling is gaining popularity, both to the player and the government. :dirol

The first site to officially go live is being run by the Olympic Entertainment Group which has a number of land based casinos in Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland and Slovakia. The site will be powered by one of the largest software providers in the industry, Playtech, and will offer players more than 150 games. The new site will also incorporate Estonia’s first online poker site which will run through the popular European platform, iPoker. While some Estonians have been placing online wagers through foreign for a few years this new online casino will be the first official one in the country and will open up the market to a whole new demographic.

With the 2010 Olympics in full-force, writer/director Kevin Smith is battling his own sport – trying to fit himself into one of those tiny airplane seats. Southwest Airlines is now on damage control after Smith was kicked off a flight Saturday night after a flight attendant deemed him too fat to fly.
The airline's policy does not allow passengers on who can't put both armrests down and apparently, Smith was an armrest offender. However, Southwest allowed Kevin to catch another flight, basically going back on their claim that he's too fat. Since the incident, Smith has been on the warpath, tweeting that the airline treated him worse than a terrorist.
Smith, 39, immediately took to his Twitter. 😄

All the confusion over online gambling in EU member states is set to be ironed out by new Internal Market Commissioner Michel Barnier, a move that will be closely followed by Malta. Soon after taking on his responsibilities, Mr Barnier announced he planned to address the matter and instructed the European Commission services to draft a green paper on the issue.............

So many people registered in carbon freeroll - but very few are active members - i might suggest some people are in twice - different acounts (looking very similiar)
its a bit annoying when you try to be an active member and see all these people who don't bother getting access...
same as ft freeroll people with 1 post entered😟😟?

Im not complaining cuz a freeroll is a freeroll and I came close (9th) tonight but it was great a few weeks ago when I won a coupon there was only like 19 people in the tournament. I think I would have had it tonight but I got kinda donked out of it by some dude going in preflop with 34 suited. O well came close be back next week to try again.
