This is kind of in the wrong forum. Besides that im kind of upset about that because this was some of the best hockey ive ever seen. Nice to see a lot of blackhawks in that game.

Indeed NFL/NHL, just one letter off. It would be a travesty if they stopped having the best players in the world face each other. Switching back to amateur would throw off college teams without a doubt.

For the first time in 2010, the NFL has scheduled every Week 17 game as divisional matchups in an attempt to keep teams from resting their starters for the playoffs. Of course, the change wouldn’t have affected the 2009 Indianapolis Colts, but it seems like a step in the right direction to keep teams competitive.

As expected, the Minnesota Vikings visit the Super Bowl champion New Orleans Saints in the Thursday, Sept. 9, opener. Of course that is a rematch of the NFC Championship Game, which happened to lead to an NFL rule change this offseason regarding giving each team possession at least once in a playoff overtime. The league could also well decide to make that the case in the regular season as early as May.

Possibly the most-hyped game of the season will be on Sunday, Oct. 3, when former Eagles QB Donovan McNabb returns to Philly for the first time as the Washington Redskins’ new quarterback (barring injury). McNabb’s Washington debut is the first Sunday night game of the season, coming in Dallas, where McNabb’s season was ended in 2009.

As usual, there will be three games on Thanksgiving: New England at Detroit (there had been talk the Lions might lose the Turkey Day game because they have been getting crushed in those games), New Orleans at Dallas (Saints’ first game ever on Thanksgiving) and Cincinnati at the Jets. Dallas will then visit Arizona on Christmas night. And don't forget that some late-season Sunday games can be "flexed" to different teams. Bodog also will have individual team-by-team schedule previews and NFL futures odds over the next several weeks.

Two games will be played outside of the U.S.: Denver vs. San Francisco in London on Oct. 31, and Chicago vs. Buffalo in Toronto the following Sunday, Nov. 7.

Arguably the biggest story line heading into this year’s NFL Draft involves a quarterback who won’t even be the first, second or possibly third player taken at his own position. Of course we refer to former Heisman Trophy winner Tim Tebow of Florida, as his status remains very unpredictable with the draft set to begin Thursday night in New York. And Tebow’s draft position is one of many draft props available on Bodog’s NFL odds.............

When online sports books put together their odds for the 2014 Super Bowl, there will be factors taken into account that do not currently exist. With the NFL bringing the game to New Jersey, gamblers will have a whole new set of bets made available to them.

Darrelle Revis, an NFL all-pro cornerback, was back in a New York Jets practice session despite the fact that he still doesn’t have a new contract. As an act of good faith, Revis went back for a voluntary practice session despite a dispute on his contract. According to Rex Ryan, the team’s coach, it’s good that Darrelle Revis was able to join the practice session. He also said that it’s good to see Revis out there.....

We’re days from the sights, sounds and hits of professional football.

We’re not talking about football from the league with training camp holdouts and off-field altercations either, we’re talking about the Canadian Football League.

What makes the CFL worth your weekly wager?

The CFL has everything the NFL’s got: betting against the spread and total; favorites and underdogs, and a heated matchups every week.

And it has a little more. The CFL boasts a bigger ball, bigger field, bigger end zone and bigger scores, making it a great sport to bet on if you like your totals at around 50 points and up.

Next Thursday’s CFL double header has cooked up a 2009 Grey Cup rematch for Game 1. The Saskatchewan Roughriders play host to the reigning Montreal Alouettes at 7 p.m. ET. The Roughriders are looking to avenge an embarrassing loss to the Alouettes in the final seconds, grabbing a penalty that gave Montreal another shot at a game-winning field goal.

Question remains whether the ‘Riders can build on their quick rise in 2009. Saskatchewan exploded behind quarterback Darian Durant and a deep receiving core. However in the offseason they were hit the hardest by players bolting for the NFL. They are listed at +200 to win the West Division. Meanwhile, nobody knows how much QB Anthony Calvillo and the Alouettes have left in the tank with them aging at seemingly every position. That being said, Montreal is a -170 favorite to win the East Division.

In Thursday’s second game, at 10 p.m. ET, the Toronto Argonauts play the Calgary Stampeders. The Stamps are expected to be contenders again behind QB Henry Burris, they are listed as +170 favorites to win the West. The Argos however, are in full rebuilding mold. With a new head coach and a handful of new QBs it will be interesting to see how they perform Thursday night.

Football betting season has officially arrived. Bet on all the CFL games this season starting with Week 1 on Thursday, July 1.

Watch and wager on all the CFL Odds in the Bodog Sportsbook!

Is Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Michael Vick in the clear yet? Almost.

The Virginia Police announced today that they have discovered the identity of the person who shot Quanis Phillips at Vick's 30th birthday party, clearing Vick of pulling the trigger.

However, police say that they are yet to charge the suspect because the victim and witnesses have been uncooperative.

It still remains to be seen whether Vick knows the shooter or the reason the shooting took place, therefore he could still end up facing suspension time from NFL commissioner Roger Godell and perhaps even get cut by the Eagles.

That being said the Eagles have said they plan on keeping Vick on the roster unless he is tied in some way to the case.

If it’s American football odds you’re craving, look no further—preseason picks up big-time this week. Here is your NFL preseason week ahead glance.

Two of the best quarterbacks in the NFL will see their first action of the year Thursday, when the New Orleans Saints and New England Patriots kick things off. The Saints are out to prove there’s no “Super Bowl hangover” in sight. The Patriots, meanwhile, need to be sharp if they’re going to hold off the Jets this season. Thursday also features Panthers-Ravens and Raiders-Cowboys.

Three games are on tap Friday, with the Jacksonville Jaguars vs. Philadelphia Eagles being the most intriguing. After a decade with Donovan McNabb under center, the Eagles are turning the keys over to Kevin Kolb.

Sunday has nine games on tap, including Broncos-Bengals, while the Monday Nighter is Giants-Jets.

Get your NFL Preaseason Odds in the Bodog Sportsbook!

One of the biggest opponents of any type of online gambling legislation making its way through Congress has now stepped aside. The NFL has decided to end its opposition to HR 2267, The Internet Gambling Regulation, Consumer Protection and Enforcement Act, thanks to an amendment added during the markup process by Peter King (R-NY) that expressly forbids any licensed Internet gaming site from offering sports-betting to its customers.

Former Philadelphia Eagles running back Brian Westbrook has found a new home, signing with the San Francisco 49ers Monday.

The Niners quickly jumped into the RB market Monday after their young back Glen Coffee abruptly decided to retire from the NFL in his second season in the NFL.

The Niners probably couldn't have found a better replacement. Westbrook was one of the main weapons in Philly coach Andy Reid's west coast, pass-happy offense. Unfortunately, Westbrook has slowed down as late with injury, recently he suffered an almost career ending concussion.

Westbrook will be backing up franchise runner Frank Gore. Westbrook signed a one-year deal with the run-first squad for $1.25 million guaranteed and another 1.25 million in incentives.

It really has been "Hard Knocks" for the New York Jets this preseason.

Facing a hold out with star corner Darrelle Revis and struggling on offense in their last three exhibition games, the Jets got more bad news on Sunday, linebacker Calvin Pace will likely miss six weeks with a broken foot.

Pace is a big part of a dominant defense that baffled offensive coordinators in 2009. With Pace in the defense looking to continue their dominance in the 2010 regular season, NFL odds had the Jets listed at 11-2 to win the AFC and 11-1 to win the 2011 Super Bowl. That could change now that 35-year-old vet Jason Taylor is taking over Pace's spot.

"It's a big loss, there's no doubt," Ryan said Friday. "But we're fortunate. We have a lot of depth at that position."

Pace will undergo surgery from renowned foot doctor Robert Anderson. The Jets don't want to make any definit determinations on when Pace can come back until after surgery. But the preliminary prognosis of Pace's injury is that he will miss four to six weeks. The injury occurred in the third quarter of Jets' preseason loss to the Redskins on Friday.
