The 2009 World Series of Poker "Casino Employees Champion" is Andrew Cohen, from Las Vegas, NV. Cohen is originally from New York. Cohen is a 39-year-old bartender.
Cohen collected $83,833 for first place. He was also awarded his first WSOP gold bracelet.

At the final table of the $1,500 Pot Limit Omaha, crowd and media fave Jason Mercier eventually won out over opponent Steve Burkholder. The top prize of $237,415 pushes Mericer over the $3 million in career tournament winnings since he burst onto the scene last year after winning the EPT San Remo. Phil Ivey captured his sixth World Series of Poker bracelet on Thursday evening after taking down the $2,500 No Limit Deuce-to-Seven event, but it wasn't easy.
Ivey was one of the short stacks heading into the final table, but that didn't matter - he was able to battle back and eventually win his sixth bracelet.
Here is how the final table of the $2,500 No Limit Deuce to Seven Draw tournament finished out:

Well... I played one of those $2000 Reload Freerolls on PokerStars! It's their new promo out now. Second one I entered(got donked out last night). I managed to finish 301st out of 8,816 entrants and win $1, but more importantly... that qualified me to enter one of the 5 $20,000 Finals on Sunday June 28th! Hope to qualify for all 5 of em, but don't know if I'll have time to enter enough of them to make all 5.. but we'll see. I won't know how many entrants there will be in the finals until they come up.
These 2k Reload Freerolls have a quick blind structure. The blinds are 5 mins! That qualifies it as a turbo structure. You still need patience, but you are going to have to win some chips to be able to make it ITM and qualify. I got it up to 16k at one point with a lot of time to go. I was 321st position out of 676 left... went into the stall mode and squeaked it out ok...LOL! I just want to qualify in these.. although there is good cash potential in these 2k's for sure. After I get qualified for all 5 20k finals.. I'll then try to see if I can win one or at least make a final table. It will be a challenge to do that with 5 minute blinds, but I'm going to see if I am able to play very many of these in the next 2 and half weeks and hopefully... I can make some cash out of this promo!
