Pai Gow Poker and Three-Card Poker are the most popular poker-themed casino games. It's a no-brainer which game is better if you know anything about the two games. Pai Gow Poker is the better game because you can act as the bank, and lower the house edge against you. In Three-Card Poker the house edge can be as high as 2.5%, if you play to optimum Q-6-4 strategy.

The edge in Pai Gow Poker will change based on the amount bet when you're the player and the amount bet when you bank action. Your skill level at setting hands will also affect the odds the house will have against you. Pai Gow has more strategy involved than Three-Card Poker, and is more challenging and fun to play. And banking hands in Pai Gow Poker can produce a faster profit in a short amount of time when you win them.

You can play Pai Gow Poker at: Bodog Casino

Have been trying out that game ...it's ok!

Online poker player "The Destroyer" continued to earn his online name by manhandling a 621-player field at Bodog Poker's Sunday $100,000 Guaranteed online poker tournament and capturing the $23,600 first-place prize.

"The Destroyer" has been playing on Bodog since 2006 and is a constant feature at the top of leaderboards at all levels of tournaments. However, the past month has been particularly good to the online poker player as he has racked up over $35,000 in tournament winnings and doesn't look to be slowing down any time soon with this latest cash.

Well, this was my 8th final table playing these Main Event Rd 1 qualifiers! These Rd 1 deals are played with 3 minute blinds! You have to be in the final 2 to win a ticket to Rd 2 Freerolls.... then finish final 2 to go to the 3rd step.. a final round where you need to finish in the top 3 to win a seat to the WSOP Main Event! Finally I took one down! I was up and down the final table leader board... back and forth.. what a ride for this one. Funny thing is with 4 of us left... 2 of us short stacks watched the 2 chip leaders( who each had well over 100,000 chips... and us with only 32,000 and 38,000) go all in and called. It knocked one of them out and left us 2 short stacks with a chip leader of well over 250,000 chips! After a lot of bad cards in the final table... I was down to only 6,740 chips left in the SB with 8,000 chips in already.... I caught A,Q and won that hand from the other short stack. He and the chip leader got into it on the next hand.. short stack lost leaving me in the sunshine!!:dirol

I'll post my Tilt stats here of this tourney for all to see. Any comments about these stats?

To get into these Main Event Rd 1 SnG tourneys.... go to Tilt lobby... select play money tab/Sitngo tab/ Multi table tab. They are listed there.. go down to announced 225 or 455. The 225 ones you have to be in the top 2 to advance. The 455 one has only 1 winner!(don't know why it isn't other way around, but that's the way it is) When you double click on one to go to the lobby you'll need to have your cursor right there on it and clicking before the "Register Now" button comes on. If you don't.. you won't likely get in.. they fill up faster than you can believe! A quarter of a second late on the click and you'll lose out. Good news is that they run every 4 minutes and are around the clock!! Good Luck to all who give em a shot!

The Spring Championship of Online Poker (SCOOP), will run from April 2-12 and features 66 tournaments across 22 events. Those tournaments are part of a three-tiered set of events with low-, medium-, and high-stakes buy-ins. For instance, event No. 1 - a six-handed no-limit hold’em tournament to be held April 2 - has three versions: low stakes with a $5.50 buy-in and $50,000 guarantee; medium stakes with a $55 buy-in and $200,000 guarantee; and high stakes with a $530 buy-in and $500,000 guarantee. To avoid the tournament cannibalism that may result from having three different versions of the same event on the same day, the PokerStars tournament team is working on a SCOOP leader-board promotion to encourage players to play in as many tournaments as they can across all stakes. (The details of the SCOOP leader-board promotion have yet to be released.)

The full schedule can be found at: Poker Stars

Poker players had their voices heard by lawmakers in Texas on Wednesday. Poker licenses are being suggested in Jose Menendez’s bill which would allow reputable companies to take a cut from poker games hosted and then they would be taxed on any money earned.

Texas poker players believe that the government is looking millions if not billions on backroom poker in which they could be taking tax from. All the players want is a safe place to wager their cash without the fear of being ripped off in an underground poker ring.
