Russell W won Contender Series Event #5, a $2,000 Guaranteed Pot Limit Omaha Event that featured a buy-in of just $10+1. He claimed $695.21 for the win and was soon joined by Frank O, who added $721.52 to his bankroll for winning Contender Event #6. Frank used a $3+.30 buy-in to win the $2,000 Guaranteed Turbo Rebuy event.
Contender Event #7, the $3,000 Guaranteed Shootout 6-Max event featured just a $20+2 buy-in, but that's all it took for Edward B to claim victory and $910. Daniel H. earned $524.60 for his victory in Contender Event #8, the $1,000 guaranteed turbo event.

According to the WSOP’s payouts, this would mean that the winner will walk away with estimated $12,266,668 – the biggest first place prize in poker tournament history.
