It's Oscar season again and now, before the nominations are even announced, Bodog has all your Oscar odds. So start planning your Oscar party and get betting because those wily Bodog Sportsbook handicappers have named The Hurt Locker and Up in the Air as Oscar favorites for Best Picture.

Director Jason Reitman's Up in the Air tells the story of a corporate efficiency expert, played by George Clooney, who travels the world firing people while collecting air-miles. Up in the Air earned six Golden Globe nominations and leads the Best Picture odds at a respectable 3/1. Although Up in the Air has received excellent reviews, six Golden Globe nominations as well as four National Board of Review awards, including Best Film, Bodog's props suggest that its strongest competitor will be the Iraq war drama The Hurt Locker, which earned three Golden Globe nominations and has odds to win Best Picture at 7/2. The war flick stars Jeremy Renner, Ralph Fiennes, Guy Pearce, Evangeline Lilly and David Morse.

Waiting in the wings is James Cameron's long-awaited, Avatar, which has 10/1 odds of winning Best Picture. Cameron devoted the last twelve years of his life to this movie and so far, his labor of love has paid off with the movie getting strong early reviews as well as four Golden Globe nominations including Best Picture and a Best Director nod for Cameron.

Other strong contenders for Best Picture include Precious (5/1), Invictus (15/1) and the much-hyped, star-studded musical, Nine (15/1).

Think you have the inside scoop on who will sweep the 2010 Oscars? Stay tuned to Bodog Beat for all your Oscar handicapping as well as live coverage of the show as it happens! The 82nd Academy Awards will take place March 7 at the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood.

The show will be televised live by ABC.

It seems that Jessica Simpson met the professional golfer when she performed the American National Anthem at a golf tournament in which Woods participated last summer. Simpson performed at a golf tournament in Bethesda, Maryland, though she was with her then-boyfriend, football player Tony Romo. The two split just eight days later...............

Stare at boobs for longer life: Study

Frankfurt, Germany, December 6 -- A rather bizarre study carried out by German researchers suggests that staring at women's breasts is good for men's health and increases their life expectancy. According to Dr. Karen Weatherby, a gerontologist and author of the study, gawking at women’s breasts is a healthy practice, almost at par with an intense exercise regime, that prolongs the lifespan of a man by five years. She added, "Just 10 minutes of staring at the charms of a well-endowed female, is roughly equivalent to a 30-minute aerobics work-out."

A five-year research on 500 men
Researchers at three hospitals in Frankfurt, Germany did an in-depth analysis of 200 healthy males over a period of five years. Half the volunteers were instructed to ogle at the breasts of women daily, while the rest were told to refrain from doing so. At the close of the study, the researchers noted that the men who stared at the breasts of females on a regular basis exhibited lower blood pressure, slower resting pulse rates and lesser episodes of coronary artery disease.

Sexual desire linked to better blood circulation
The researchers declared that sexual desire gives rise to better blood circulation that signifies an overall improved health. Weatherby explained the concept stating, "Sexual excitement gets the heart pumping and improves blood circulation. There's no question: Gazing at breasts makes men healthy. "Our study indicates that engaging in this activity a few minutes daily cuts the risk of stroke and heart attack in half. We believe that by doing so consistently, the average man can extend his life four to five years." In addition, she also recommended that men over 40 should gaze at larger breasts daily for 10 minutes. The German research is believed to be published in the New England Journal of Medicine.

Kim Peek, the mega-savant who inspired the Oscar-winning movie, Rain Man, has died from a massive heart attack at the age of 58. Described as a mixture of disability and genius, Peek's ability to memorize trivia inspired the writer Barry Morrow to write Rain Man – Morrow subsequently gave his Academy Award to Peek. After actor Dustin Hoffman met Peek, he told Peek's father Fran Peek to "share him with the world." Fran did just that and Peek became a star of sorts – touring the country to showoff his remarkable ability. Peek thrived off the attention and referred to himself as a celebrity.

Born in 1951, Peek was diagnosed as severely mentally retarded and his parents were advised to place him in a home. He was later classified as a "mega-savant," a genius in about 15 different subjects and able to read two pages of a book simultaneously – with the left eye reading the left page and the right eye reading the right. At his death, Peek had committed 9,000 books to memory.

Fran became his sole caretaker after divorcing his mother in 1975, helping Kim get dressed and perform the daily functions he is unable to do.

Rain Man won Oscars in 1989 for Best Picture, Best Original Screenplay, Best Director, and Best Actor in a leading role.

As far as I know, this is the first time this has happened😡

4.9 million kronor ($673,000) repayment deal, details of which remain secret according to a representative from the Uppsala company, comes after the woman in charge of the firm’s finances gambled away 15 million kronor in company funds. In court, the woman explained that she was able to lose up to one million kronor in one night playing on the gaming company’s website.

Rules posted by the gaming firm stating that players could lose no more than €2,500 ($3,600) in a 24-hour period were not followed, according to the woman.

The company behind the gambling site also gave the woman tens of thousands of kronor in bonuses in a restricted account, which she quickly gambled away.

No holiday would be complete with Amy Winehouse either collapsing or getting hospitalized. Over the Christmas holiday Amy had to be treated by a private doctor for "nervous exhaustion." Is that what they're calling it these days? 😄 Amy collapsed at home but luckily someone was around to call a doctor.

As the title says 9 more members got promoted today for joining discussions and keeping the forums active. We appreciate the effort from everyone and love how things are evolving.

The reason we are mentioning this everyones in a while is because many members believes we just promote "certain" members with no relation to postcount, quality or activity.

We treat all members the same.

Thanks
