The first match of the series was given away by "Lokomotiv" to their opponent (1:4), as they had too much free time after winning the eighth-finals series and lost their rhythm. In the second meeting, everything fell into place: "Avangard" was defeated 4:1.
Now the action moves to Omsk, where the season favorites have already managed to put the hosts on the back foot in the third match of the series - 6:2. Now "Lokomotiv's" strengths come into play: reliable defense and enough potential in offense. And to add to that, the Omsk team had a tough quarterfinal against the reigning champions "Metallurg" and played a full six games, unlike "Loko" who played only four.
I believe there is reason to expect another win for Jaroslavlio rollerskaters.
