The state of New Jersey played host to Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Finals Wednesday night at the Prudential Center in Newark. And if Gov. Chris Christie and two-thirds of his constituency had their way, they would have been able to drive over to the Meadowlands or down to A.C. and put some cold cash on Marty Brodeur's Devils.

Christie held a press conference last week to boldly announce that New Jersey will defy a federal ban and allow people to bet on football, basketball and other sports this fall at Atlantic City casinos and the state's four horse tracks. There was a time when I would have objected strenuously and wryly mocked that the next press conference will be the state police explaining how Tony Soprano and Paulie Walnuts whacked the portly governor.

Not anymore.

Tiger Woods has won The Memorial Tournament at Muirfield Village in Dublin, Ohio four times in his career, most recently in 2009. Woods, though, is not the favorite on the golf odds at Bovada to come out on top of the tournament this week.

Join Bovada NOW for an instant 20% Free Bet Bonus up to $100.

Instead, the Bovada favorite is Luke Donald, who sits atop the World Golf Ranking and is pegged at 9/1 to win The Memorial Tournament this week. Donald finished tied for seventh place last year at the event, ending up eight strokes behind winner Steve Stricker.

Rory McIlroy is second in the current World Golf Ranking, and he's also second on the PGA odds at 12/1 to finish atop the leaderboard. McIlroy ended up five strokes back of Stricker in fifth place at Muirfield Village in 2011.

Woods is then tied with Mickelson at 14/1 odds. Woods also claimed the event three straight years from 1999 to 2001, and he wasn't in the field for the tournament last season. Mickelson, who has never won The Memorial, finished in 13th place last year.

2010 Memorial champion Justin Rose is then at 16/1 odds, with Rickie Fowler at 18/1, and Stricker at 22/1. Rose shots rounds of 71 and 75 over the first two days of the tournament last year and missed the cut, while Fowler ended up back in 22nd place at the event.

Jim Furyk, the 2002 Memorial champion, is then tied with Bubba Watson at 25/1, with Webb Simpson at 28/1, Adam Scott at 33/1, and each of Bo Van Pelt, Dustin Johnson, Hunter Mahan, Jason Day, Keegan Bradley, and Ernie Els at 40/1.

Els won The Memorial Tournament in 2004. Other former champions returning to the field this week include Carl Pettersson (66/1), K.J. Choi (80/1), Fred Couples (125/1), and Vijay Singh (150/1).

In their last friendly France unexpectedly received two goals, since the last time they have received two goals were back in August 2010, so it is not hard to notice Blanc is giving very big importance to defense.

At the other hand Serbia is very rarely playing over this line. In last 10 matches they have played only once with three or more goals. It was against Faroe Islands, and the reason was big quality difference between two teams.
With new head coach Serbia is now playing with five defenders in line, and defense is the best part of the team as in Serbian squad there are top world players like Ivanovic, Subotic, Kolarov and others.

The another great thing for this bet is Serbian attack, there is not good striker in the team, and it is not strange Serbia couldn't find the net last week in match against Spain.
The biggest problem of this team will be efficiency, especially after offensive midfielder Adam Ljajic left the squad, since he didn't want to sing national anthem in match against Spain.

Serbian defense will not let enough space for France attack to make a lot of chances, but also France defense will not have lot of job to stop inefficient Serbian attack.

All in all odds on under are very good and represent nice value.

Swiss star and world No. 3 Roger Federer could face a potential challenge in his French Open third-round match Friday morning U.S. time against unseeded Nicholas Mahut. However, Federer is a massive -10000 favorite on Bovada’s tennis odds with Mahut at +1600.

Check out Bovada's Sports Welcome Bonus: Sign up and deposit for your 20% Free Bet Bonus up to $100

First of all, Mahut is from France so obviously will have the fans in Paris behind him. And already Mahut has gone further than he ever has in his French Open career. In his previous nine tries, Mahut had been knocked out in the first round eight times and only reached the second round in 2010.

But Mahut, the No. 89 player in the world, stunned American Andy Roddick in the first round, beating him 6-3, 6-3, 4-6, 6-2 on Sunday to give Roddick his first opening-round defeat at a Grand Slam tournament since 2007. Mahut then beat Martin Klizan 6-4, 4-6, 7-6 (5), 6-3 in the second round.

Federer, going for his second career French Open title, blew out Germany’s Tobias Kamke in the first round, 6-2, 7-5, 6-3. But in Round 2, the third-seeded Federer needed four sets to get past 92nd-ranked Romanian Adrian Ungur, making his Grand Slam debut, 6-3, 6-2, 6-7 (6-8), 6-3. Federer became the new all-time leader in Grand Slam match wins with 234. He tied the old mark of 233 set by Jimmy Connors with that win over Kamke. Federer is currently 15/2 to win this tournament.

Mahut and Federer have met three times all-time, and the future Hall of Famer is 3-0 and yet to drop a set. They faced off on the hard courts of Rotterdam in the first round back in mid-February, with Federer winning 6-4, 6-4 on his way to the title. That was their first meeting since 2008. Mahut, who has never won a singles title in his career, and Federer have never played on clay.

I am surprised the odd for over 2.5 goals is 2.1, I expected 1.85 at the most.

This friendlymatch between Austria und Ukraine will be played in Innsbruck/Austria and is one of two friendlies that will be plyed there by Austria.

Austria have decent players with Janko, Junuzovic, Arnautovic, Alaba ... Harnik, Fuchs, two other good players, are injured...

Ukraine are preparing for their homeeuro and the team did well in almost all their prepgames lastly beating Estonia 4:0. I like the young plyers of Ukraine that came up especially offensive midfielder Konoplyanka. He, Milevskiy, Voronin, Sheva and others, thre is lots of potential in the offense.

I expect a match here with at least one score of each team and think chances are also good it is 3 or more in the end.

After a three-year absence the IndyCar Series will return to the track in the Motor City on Sunday afternoon with the circuit's drivers competing against each other on the auto racing odds at Bovada in the Chevrolet Belle Isle Grand Prix.

Join Bovada NOW for an instant 20% Free Bet Bonus up to $100.

Dario Franchitti will be looking to stay on a roll on Sunday, as he's coming off a victory in the Indianapolis 500 last weekend. Franchitti beat Scott Dixon and Tony Kanaan across the finish line to pay off at the series' biggest race of the season, with Oriol Servia and Ryan Briscoe rounding out the top five drivers at the event.

IndyCar Series standings leader Will Power disappointed his supporters with a 28th-place result in the Indy 500, but with closest rival Helio Castroneves only managing a 10th-place finish at the Brickyard he held on to top spot in the points race.

Castroneves won the first race of the season in St. Petersburg, but Power then won three races in a row in Birmingham, Long Beach, and Sao Paulo before faltering in Indianapolis last weekend.

James Hinchcliffe, who finished in sixth place at the Indy 500, is third in the current series standings behind Power and Castroneves as he looks to pay off on the IndyCar odds with his first win of the season this week. Dixon and Ryan Hunter-Reay (27th at the Indy 500) round out the current Top 5 of the points race. Franchitti is sixth in the standings.

Justin Wilson, who sits in 17th place in the current IndyCar Series standings, won the Grand Prix at Belle Isle the last time it was held in 2008, while Kanaan won the 2007 event on the circuit. Franchitti won a Champ Car race on the track in 1999, and Castroneves did as well in both 2000 and 2001.

Power is the 5/4 favorite on the IndyCar odds at Bovada for Sunday's race, with Franchitti set at 11/2, and both Castroneves and Dixon at 13/2. Hinchcliffe and Briscoe sit at 10/1.

One of the most exciting young boxers will put his WBA Junior Middleweight title on the line this weekend when Austin Trout defends his belt against tough opponent Delvin Rodriguez. This fight promises to be an outright war, with two of the toughest chins in the weight class and a world championship on the line. Bet on boxing today.

Join Bovada NOW for an instant 20% Free Bet Bonus up to $100.

Undefeated Trout has finished 14 of his 24 fights via knockout and is coming off a fourth-round TKO win over Frank LoPorto last November. The champion is finally getting some exposure in a fight against a quality opponent, and a victory will elevate Trout into a class of elite fighters who are making the big prize fight paychecks.

The champion is expected to be too strong for the aging challenger and is expected to either win via unanimous decision or late-round KO. The only question around Trout is if he can handle the big stage against an experienced opponent who’s been fighting the best for years.

We know that Rodriguez will take a lot of punishment and continue to force the action, and that can have a big effect on some fighters. If Trout gives him everything he has and Rodriguez keeps coming, it will put the inexperienced champion in a place where he’s never really been before.

What we can be sure of in this matchup is that it could be one of the best fights of the year if these two go at each other the way most expect they will. It will likely come down to Rodriguez’s chin vs. Trout’s heart, and neither fighter has shown much weakness in those areas in the past.

This tip is for England to keep a clean sheet. Under Roy Hodgson, it's a game where there isn't a lot of goals nor and things are keep close. Although, it seems on the score but in real play, england will be a straight forward, solid team with highly organized back four with a lot of discipline. It's not just that, it's the way Roy Hodgson plays that will keep thing tidy at the back and also the midfield able to support them. If a goal was to come then it's likely to be from a set piece. England will be boosted with a few key players back in the starting lineup with John Terry, Ashley cole, Glen Johnson so expect a tough line up and not to mention Belgium have their potent attack which will test them. England Clean sheet and at wembley this evening.

The legality of online sports betting exists in a sort of shrouded grey fog of possibly questionable behavior. The feds haven't ransacked it they did online poker, yet some betting sites have stopped taking US customers. However, there are still plenty of quality offshore operations that are willing to take your bets and pay out your winnings. If you want to know how to bet on sports online—like, say, the NBA playoffs—we'll tell you.

The NASCAR Sprint Cup series spent the past two weeks in Charlotte, and this week it visits Dover International Speedway for the first time this season for the FedEx 400 benefiting Autism Speaks race. And just like the past few weeks, Jimmie Johnson is the favorite on Bovada’s NASCAR odds.

Check out Bovada's Sports Welcome Bonus: Sign up and deposit for your 20% Free Bet Bonus up to $100

Johnson, who opened at 11/2 at the book, has won twice in the past three races, at Darlington and the All-Star Race at Charlotte, and Dover is arguably his favorite track. First of all, Johnson’s Hendrick Motorsports team has won the past four events overall after Kasey Kahne’s victory in the Coca-Cola 600 a week ago. And Johnson has won six times at Dover, just one off the track record shared by Richard Petty and Bobby Allison. Since 2009 at Dover, Johnson has 1,349 laps led in those six races, over half of the total laps run and 1,000 more than any other driver. Only four other drivers even have 100 laps led at Dover in that time.

But Johnson isn’t the defending champion of this race, Matt Kenseth is. Kenseth (10/1 to repeat) led only twice to win in 2011 but did lead the final 32 laps. Johnson finished ninth after leading the most laps. Kenseth, of course, won the season-opening Daytona 500 this year but hasn’t visited Victory Lane since.

Actually, Carl Edwards (33/4) has the best active finish at this track at 7.3. Last year he led five times for 117 laps but ended up seventh. In 15 starts at the one-mile track, Edwards has one win (the 2007 fall race), seven top-five and 11 top-10 finishes. He is still looking for his first victory of 2012.

Kyle Busch is the second-favorite at 7/1. He has won at Dover twice, including the 2010 version of this race. Overall Busch has seven top-five and nine top-10 finishes in 14 visits to Dover. Busch has a victory this year, coming in late April at Richmond. Points leader Greg Biffle is at 8/1. He has two wins at Dover, including this event in 2005. Could this be the week Dale Earnhardt Jr. (12/1) ends his skid? He has taken the fall race at Dover and has four-top five finishes overall at the track.

This is an international friendly featuring Spain and China.

Not long now to the Euro's and this is Spains final warm up game. They were a little slow out of the blocks against South Korea in the last game and were level at half time. Beginning of the second half Spain upped the teampo and prevailed 4-1.

South Korea although weak are well organized and drilled. China on the other hand are on the decline. China recent form is good, but all of their games have been against weaker opposition. Another thing in Spains favor is China haven't played a competitive game since february. They have also had to travel half way around the world so they will be tired.

I fancy Spain to win by 3 clear goals so I have take the -2 handicap.

It's been a long time since the PGA odds were in Tiger Woods' favor. But after the Memorial that's going to change.
Woods made three birdies on the last four holes, including an impossible shot on the 16th that turned a bogey into a birdie, to take the final round at Memorial 5-under 67 (9-under 279 overall). The victory marks his second win on the year and puts him at No. 4 in the world.
"The most unbelievable, gutsy shot I've ever seen," Jack Nicklaus said of Woods' shot on the 16th. "Look at the position he was in. If he's short, the tournament is over. If he's long, the tournament is over. He puts it in the hole."
Woods opened the Memorial at 15-1 to win while the field was favored at 9-2, but this win puts right back to the top in PGA odds. He is already listed as the 5-1 favorite to win the US Open and the 6-1 fave to win the 2012 Open Championships. If the media doesn't think Tiger is back, the oddsmakers certainly do.
"To do it here Jack watching on the last hole ... he means a lot to all of us as players," Woods said. "We all looked up to him, and he's the greatest champion that's ever lived."
Andres Romero tied for second with Roy Sabbatini with -7, Daniel Summerhays tied for 4th with Spencer Levin at 5-under.
Woods gets right back to work with the US Open teeing off on June 14. Place your bets early, the Tiger Woods odds are about to blow up.

No doubts in my mind about this one!Odds already started dropping and I can see thm get even lower. Why is that? First you must not be fooled by the league position of these two teams Corinthians 19th 0-0-2 GD 0-2, Figueirense 5th 1-1-0 GD 4-3. Corinthians played with their second team in the first round due to focus been moved on Copa Libertadores clash with Vasco which they won 1-0.A

Figueirense are up the tables but this is mainly because in the first two rounds their opponents Nautico and Fluminense both got player sent off and so Figueirense managed to turn both games around(vs Nautico they won 2-1 with winning goal in the 94th minute, vs Flu they were trailing 1-0 and after a player from the home side was sent off they got a point-> 2-2).For this match the away team is missing their first an second choice goalkeepers Wilson & Tiago Volpi so a GK from the u18 team will start the game. This will bring a lot of tension to their defence which is not playing very well as Figueirense conceeded goals in both of their games so far.

As a conclusion, it is highly unlikely that 3rd time in a row Figueirnense would play vs 10 men,as it is so unlikely that last year champions Corinthians would miss the 3 pts in this clash! So a home win looks certain!

The NASCAR Sprint Cup series makes its first of two visits this summer to the 2.5-mile Pocono Raceway tri-oval for Sunday afternoon’s Pocono 400 and Denny Hamlin opened as the 15/4 favorite on Bovada’s NASCAR odds.

Check out Bovada's Sports Welcome Bonus: Sign up and deposit for your 20% Free Bet Bonus up to $100

Drivers will have to adjust to the repaved track and also to a shorter race as it was reduced 100 miles this year. Hamlin totally owns this track. In 12 career starts at Pocono, he has an average finish of 9.7, second to Jimmie Johnson, with four wins, eight Top-10 finishes and 639 laps led. Hamlin, who is fourth in this season’s points race, has two wins this season: at Phoenix and Kansas. He last won this race in 2010.

No driver is hotter than Johnson (4/1), who won May 12 at Darlington, a week later in the All-Star Race in Charlotte and then last week at Dover. Johnson and teammate Jeff Gordon had the two fastest cars at Dover. But Johnson won going away, having led 289 of 400 laps, because Gordon had to make an unscheduled pit stop on Lap 250 to tighten a loose wheel. Johnson has two wins and eight top-five finishes in his career at Pocono and the best average finish of 9.0

Tony Stewart is looking for his second victory of the season and is at 15/2. Bu the reigning points champion is struggling with three finishes of 24th or worse in the last four races. But Stewart also loves this track with two wins and nine top-five finishes (the most of any driver) in 26 career races at Pocono.

Gordon (19/2) is tied with Bill Elliott for the most victories all time at Pocono with five. Last June, Gordon led most of the final 40 laps in edging out polesitter Kurt Busch. Gordon, who has 17 top-five finishes at the track, first won at Pocono in 1996. He won again in 1997 and 1998, then a rain-shortened race in 2007. Gordon, looking for his first win of 2012, has the third-best average finish at Pocono at 10.2. Busch, by the way, isn’t in the field this week after being suspended by NASCAR (again) for one race for berating a reporter last week.

Perhaps one streak will end this week: No driver has won from the pole in 30 consecutive races dating to Ryan Newman winning at New Hampshire last July.

What better way for the French Open to conclude on Sunday on the red clay in Paris as world No. 1 Novak Djokovic faces No. 2 Rafael Nadal in a match brimming with storylines. Nadal opened as the -350 favorite on Bovada’s tennis odds, with Djokovic at +250.

Check out Bovada's Sports Welcome Bonus: Sign up and deposit for your 20% Free Bet Bonus up to $100

Neither Nadal nor Djokovic had any trouble in their semifinal matches on Friday. Nadal crushed No. 6 David Ferrer 6-2, 6-2, 6-1 to reach his fifth straight Grand Slam final and improve to 51-1 all-time in Paris. Nadal hasn’t lost a set and has dropped only 35 games in six matches. Only Bjorn Borg, who currently shares the record of six French Open titles with Nadal, lost fewer games through the semifinals. Nadal has saved 18 of 19 break points against him in this tournament and has won 71 of 72 service games.

Djokovic, meanwhile, is looking to become the first man since Rod Laver in 1969 to hold all four Grand Slam titles at once. Djokovic beat No. 3 Roger Federer 6-4, 7-5, 6-3 to get a little payback for a loss in the French Open semifinals to Federer last year when Djokovic was on a 41-match winning streak. This is the first French Open final for Djokovic (he had been 0-3 all-time in semifinals) as he looks to win the career Grand Slam.

Nadal and Djokovic have faced off 32 times, with Nadal holding an 18-14 lead. Djokovic had won seven straight vs. Nadal, including in the final of Wimbledon and the U.S. Open last year and this year’s first major, the Australian Open. But in two French Open clay-court warm-ups last month, Nadal beat Djokovic in straight sets in Monte Carlo and Rome. The world’s top two players have never played at the French Open.

Timothy Bradley is a highly respected unbeaten fighter on most Top 10 pound-for-pound lists, but he has mostly fought in the shadows. That all changes on Saturday night when he fights Manny Pacquiao, considered by many the pound-for-pound king, for Pacquiao’s WBO welterweight title. However, Bradley is the +325 underdog on Bovada’s boxing odds with Pacquiao at -450.

Check out Bovada's Sports Welcome Bonus: Sign up and deposit for your 20% Free Bet Bonus up to $100

It’s Pacquiao’s first fight since he looked rather unimpressive with a majority-decision victory over Juan Manuel Marquez in the duo’s third career fight in November. Many thought Marquez was the winner. Pacquiao (54-3-2, 38 KOs) has said he didn’t prepare as well as he should have because of some marital problems that distracted him (reportedly getting served with divorce papers on the eve of the fight) and that he underestimated Marquez, who has yet to beat Pacquiao despite three results that could have gone his way.

It was hoped Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather would then have their super-fight last month, but the sides again couldn’t agree on terms. Thus Mayweather fought Miguel Cotto and won a hard-fought victory before heading to jail on June 1 for up to 87 days. Pacquiao instead finally settled on Bradley, the WBO light welterweight champion who is moving up in wait.

Bradley (28-0, 12 KOs) unified the light welterweight title with a bit of a controversial technical decision victory over Devon Alexander last January. Bradley then defended the belt with a fairly non-descript eighth-round TKO of Joel Casamayor in November on the Pacquiao-Marquez undercard. Bradley believes he can take the Marquez gameplan to the next level on Saturday.

"He couldn't stop a 38-year-old [Juan Manuel] Marquez, so he's definitely not going to stop a 28-year-old like myself," Bradley said. “I have the speed, I have the power, I have the youth. I have all the tools to beat Manny Pacquiao.”

Indeed, Bradley is five years younger than Pacquiao, will have a two-inch reach and is fast and experienced against good opponents. Plus his past two opponents have been southpaws, which will be good training for the lefty Pacquiao. To prepare for Pacquiao, Bradley brought in big, heavy-handed punchers with a mandate to swing early and swing often. Bradley’s focus in camp was to get into Pacquiao's chest and fight from there – if the fight stays on the outside, Pacquiao is almost invincible.

Trainer Freddie Roach has told Pacquiao after four consecutive victories by decision that "he needs a knockout in this fight." The over/under for rounds in the bout is 9.5 at the book, with the over a big -280 favorite. Pacquiao winning by decision is the +110 favored result.

This year is sure to be extremely interesting when it comes to the 2012 Olympic Games that will take place in London, England.

London is said to be one of the greatest locations in the world for sports betting. In the United Kingdom, betting on sports events has been a tradition for hundreds of years and the 2012 Olympic Games is the mecca of events. By holding the Olympic Games in London, the combination of athletic tradition and sports betting for the nation seems almost euphoric. The London setting for the Games will enhance the sports wagering exponentially due to the nation's culture for the tradition. There will be opportunities to place almost endless bets on any and every sporting event that will take place at the Summer Games.
