McLaren teammates Lewis Hamilton and Jenson Button are sitting near the top of the auto racing odds as the drivers of Formula 1 prepare to hit the Circuit de Catalunya in Barcelona for the Spanish Grand Prix on Sunday morning (8:00 am Eastern).

Join Bovada NOW for an instant 20% Free Bet Bonus up to $100.

While the difference on the F1 betting lines between Hamilton, Button, and their Red Bull rival Sebastian Vettel is barely marginal, it’s Vettel who is both the defending champion of the Spanish Grand Prix and also the driver who is coming off a victory in the most recent race on the Formula 1 circuit. Hamilton is currently priced at 3/1 on the odds to win on Sunday, while Button is at 10/3, and Vettel is at 11/4 odds.

Vettel crossed the finish line in first place three weeks ago at the Bahrain Grand Prix for his first victory of the season in four races, and in the process he moved to the top of the driver standings with 53 points. Hamilton, who remains winless this season, sits in second place with 49 points, while Button is tied for fourth place with Ferrari driver Fernando Alonso just ten points behind Vettel.

Button, Alonso, and Mercedes driver Nico Rosberg (who ranks sixth) are the other race winners so far this season, while Mark Webber of Red Bull is in third place with 48 points on the strength of his consistency with four Top-5 finishes.

Webber is listed at 12/1 odds to break the ice with a victory in Spain, while both Rosberg and 2006 winner Alonso are at 16/1, along with Lotus driver Romain Grosjean. Rosberg’s teammate Michael Schumacher is a value pick at 18/1 odds.

Last year at Barcelona it was Vettel who roared to the checkered flag on the 16-turn road course, nipping runner-up Hamilton by just 0.63 seconds at the finish line. Button wound up in third place, with Webber fourth and Alonso fifth.

Other recent winners of the Spanish Grand Prix include Webber (2010), Button (2009), as well as Lotus driver Kimi Räikkönen, who won this race twice (in 2008 and 2005) and is listed at 9/1 odds after finishing second behind Vettel last time out at Bahrain. Ferrari’s Felipe Massa, the 2007 winner, is sitting as a longshot at 80/1 odds.

On Saturday WBO Junior Middleweight champion Zaurbek Baysangurov (26-1-0) will defend his title for the first time against undefeated Michel Soro (18-0). The two will meet in front of Baysangurov’s loyal fans in the Ukraine, and it promises to be an entertaining matchup. Get your boxing odds for the bout today.

Join Bovada NOW for an instant 20% Free Bet Bonus up to $100.

Baysangurov hasn’t lost a fight in four years since getting knocked out by Cornelius Bundrage back in 2008. Since then he’s posted a record of 7-0 and added two world titles to his resume in the process. Now he faces a tough challenge this weekend in Soro, who will be bringing heavy hands and a youth advantage over the champion into the bout.

Soro will be coming off two-straight KO wins in his native country of France and he now gets a somewhat premature title shot against Baysangurov. However, he has the skills to dethrone the champ and make his claim in the Light Middleweight division. Soro is currently ranked sixth in the Light Middleweight division but he’s getting an early shot at gold with this weekend's bout.

Baysangurov will be out to prove that he is more than just a paper champion following his controversial win over Mike Miranda to acquire the vacant title in the division. It seems that Soro may be getting a shot because he’s so inexperienced, but the talented Frenchman could surprise the champ and take away his title if he lands a big shot to the chin this weekend.

The NASCAR Sprint Cup series visits the unique Darlington Raceway on Saturday night for the Bojangles’ Southern 500 and it’s the return to the top series for Danica Patrick, although she’s a massive 300/1 long shot to win on Bovada’s auto racing odds.

Check out Bovada's Sports Welcome Bonus:

The original plan was for Patrick to make her Sprint Cup debut in this race. But she changed her mind after hearing all the drivers talk about the challenge of getting around the narrow, egg-shaped oval. Darlington also features odd corners, narrow straightaways and walls that attract cars like magnets. The 1.366-mile raceway has been called a short track but with cars cruising at larger raceway speeds.

Patrick made her Sprint Cup debut instead in the season-opening Daytona 500. Sh was caught up in an early crash and finished 38th. Patrick will be the third woman to drive a Sprint Cup race at Darlington. Total, Patrick will run 10 Sprint Cup races before going full-time next year (she’s currently full-time on the Nationwide circuit). After Darlington, Patrick is scheduled to compete at Charlotte (May 27), Bristol (August 25), Atlanta (September 2), Chicagoland (Sept. 16), Dover (Sept. 30), Texas (November 4) and Phoenix (Nov. 11). The 10th race is TBA.

Regan Smith is the defending champion of this race, becoming the sixth driver to win his get his first Sprint Cup victory at Darlington. Smith gambled on fuel late in the race and then held off Carl Edwards by 0.2 seconds. But last year’s race was memorable more for a post-race fight between Kevin Harvick and Kyle Busch.

Perhaps this is the week that Hendrick Motorsports finally gets that elusive 200th win. No owner has more wins at Darlington than Hendrick’s 13. Jeff Gordon (12/1) happens to be the all-time active leader in wins at Darlington with seven, the last coming in 2007. He has easily the top driver rating at the track. Teammate Jimmie Johnson (11/2 favorite) swept the season when Darlington hosted two races back in 2004 and has an average finish of under 10th dating back to 2003.

Denny Hamlin (8/1) has the best average finish of any active driver at 6.5, with one win (2010) and five Top-10 finishes in six races there. Current points leader Greg Biffle (6/1) also has had good success at Darlington with two wins (in 2005 and ’06) in 11 races. Is this the week Dale Earnhardt Jr. (14/1) ends his 139-race winless streak? Junior has never won at Darlington in 17 races and hasn’t finished in the Top 10 since 2008.

Online gaming operator Interwetten are now an official sponsor of the Lotus F1 Team. I have to tell you, despite three decades in and around the bookmaking/gaming industry, I have never heard of them.

I’m sure they are trustworthy and reputable but the same was thought of FullTilt, the online poker operator which sponsored the Virgin Team during the 2010 season. That’s before they were closed down by America’s Department of Justice who uncovered $150 million had been embezzled from tens of thousands of FullTilt customers.

The first online gambling company to get involved with F1 was Eurobet-com whose striking livery decorated the TWR Arrows team in 2001. Similarly this ended up as ugly as Wayne Rooney complexion with accusations of breached contracts and non-payment between the two parties. Check-out Eurobet-com now and you will see they are no longer trading as a bookmaker.

A Fairleigh Dickinson University PublicMind poll released Monday finds 58 percent of state residents are against legalizing online gambling, while 31 percent support it.

Ricky Stenhouse Jr. may have extended his lead atop the Nationwide Series driver standings with a sixth-place finish last week at Darlington Raceway, but it’s Kurt Busch who’s listed as the slight favorite on the NASCAR betting odds for the Pioneer Hi-Bred 250 at Iowa Speedway this Sunday afternoon.

Join Bovada NOW for an instant 20% Free Bet Bonus up to $100.

Stenhouse Jr. has opened up a 23-point lead on second-place Elliott Sadler after nine races so far this season on the Nationwide Series circuit, with both drivers recording a pair of victories. Sprint Cup contenders Busch and Joey Logano and Truck Series regular James Buescher have claimed the other five checkered flags, including a total of three wins in the past five weeks by Logano (who will focus on the All-Star Race in Charlotte this weekend).

Busch, who won the Virginia 529 College Savings 250 at Richmond International Raceway back on April 27, is currently listed as the 23/10 chalk on the NASCAR odds to win his second race of the season at Iowa on Sunday, while Stenhouse Jr. is right behind Busch at 3/1 odds.

Stenhouse Jr. registered his Nationwide Series victories at Las Vegas (March 10) and Texas (April 13), while Sadler - who is rated as a strong contender as well for this Sunday’s race at 9/2 odds - visited Victory Lane twice in the first four races of the season at Phoenix (March 3) and Bristol (March 17).

Austin Dillon, who sits third behind Stenhouse Jr. and Sadler in the driver standings with zero wins but seven Top 10 finishes, is also expected to contend at 7/1 odds to win the Pioneer Hi-Bred 250. Potential value picks include Sam Hornish Jr. at 13/1, Cole Whitt at 25/1, and longshot Danica Patrick at lucrative 45/1 odds.

Luke Donald won the European Tour's prestigious BMW PGA Championship at the Wentworth Club in Surrey, England last season, and he's favored by the oddsmakers at Bovada to pick up that title once again this week. Get all your PGA odds at Bovada.

Join Bovada NOW for an instant 20% Free Bet Bonus up to $100.

Donald beat Lee Westwood in a playoff for the win at Wentworth Club in 2011, with Simon Dyson finishing two strokes back of those leaders to earn the third-place money at the tournament. Marcus Fraser, Raphael Jacquelin, and Shane Lowry ended up in a tie for fourth place at the event, four strokes back of Donald and Westwood.

For this week Donald is pegged as the 8/1 favorite on the golf odds at Bovada to win the BMW PGA Championship in Surrey, with Westwood the second favorite at 10/1 odds.

Rory McIlroy, who finished tied for 24th at this tournament in 2011 after recovering from a first-round score of 76, is then at 11/1 odds, with Justin Rose at 20/1 odds. Rose shot rounds of 75 and 73 at this tournament last year and ended up missing the cut.

Martin Kaymer is then at 28/1 odds, followed by each of Ben Curtis, Charl Schwartzel, Ernie Els, Francesco Molinari, Graeme McDowell, Ian Poulter, Matteo Manassero, and Peter Hanson at 33/1 odds. The top finisher from that group last year was Manassero, who ended up five strokes back of the lead in a tie for seventh place.

Paul Casey, the 2009 champion, is at 80/1 odds, with 2008 winner Miguel Angel Jimenez at 66/1, and two-time first-place finisher Anders Hansen (2007 and 2002) at 50/1 odds. Dyson sits at 66/1 on the PGA odds to win the 2012 BMW PGA Championship.

Fred Couples and Michael Allen are the co-favorites on the golf betting lines at Bovada to win the Senior PGA Championship this week at The Golf Club at Harbor Shores in Benton Harbor, Michigan.

Join Bovada NOW for an instant 20% Free Bet Bonus up to $100.

Couples and Allen both sit at 8/1 on the odds to win the tournament, with Allen the current leader on the tour's Charles Schwab Cup points list. Allen has two victories and six Top-10 results through eight events on the Champions Tour in 2012, and he won the Senior PGA Championship in 2009.

Couples has played just four events on the Champions Tour in 2012, but he has one victory (at the Mississippi Gulf Resort Classic) and three Top-10 finishes.

Bernhard Langer, Kenny Perry, and Tom Lehman are all then at 10/1 to pick up the win in the major event this week, with Lehman the 2010 champion at this tournament. Langer is second behind Allen in the points race on the tour so far in 2012 with six Top-10 results, while Perry is fourth with one win and two Top-10 finishes in six tournaments.

Fred Funk and Mark Calcavecchia are pegged at 18/1 odds to get the win at Harbor Shores this week, with John Cook, Kirk Triplett, Tom Pernice, and Jay Haas at 25/1. Haas is a two-time winner of the Senior PGA Championship, taking the trophy in both 2006 and 2008.

David Frost is farther down the golf odds at Bovada at 28/1 for this week, with Peter Senior, Russ Cochran, and Jeff Sluman all at 33/1. David Eger, who lost to Tom Watson in a playoff at this tournament last year, is at 80/1 to win this week. Watson won't be in the field for this year's Senior PGA Championship, as he's out with a wrist injury.

The iconic book maker from the United Kingdom, Ladbrokes, has been working on its online gambling offering lately realizing it was time to upgrade and satisfy a growing demand. Ladbrokes went online back in 2000 but has been resting on its laurels basically since that time.

It was the plan of the newly appointed CEO Richard Glynn in April 2010 to change that and boost the online sector of the firm with Project Galvanise. Glynn’s plan was to revamp the online sector and close the gap between Ladbrokes and William Hill Online. Glynn’s changes included management turnover, the addition of new suppliers and the convergence of the many divisions in Ladbrokes to enable a more inclusive sell of it products. The loyalty factor was big for Ladbrokes as the firm tried to keep retail consumers coming to Ladbrokes online services.

Undefeated Lucian Bute will put his IBF Super Middleweight title on the line against one of the best in the division in former WBC Super Middleweight champion Carl Froch this weekend, and Bovada has moneyline and OVER/UNDER action available. Bet on boxing today.

Join Bovada NOW for an instant 20% Free Bet Bonus up to $100.

Bute has been dominant in every professional fight he’s had thus far in his career going 30-0 with 24 victories by knockout. He was tested in his last fight against Glen Johnson but won convincingly, and now he takes another step up the competition ladder against Froch.

Bute is currently handicapped as the -205 favorite, a price that seems more than fair considering how he’s tearing through the division towards an eventual big payday fight against Andre Ward. A win over the ageing Froch will get him one step closer to that fight.

Froch is currently handicapped as the +165 underdog but will fight in front of hometown fans. He’s coming off a huge loss to Andre Ward and will need to find a way to beat the odds against an aggressive puncher with big power.

The OVER/UNDER at Bovada is set at 9.5 rounds with the OVER wager currently handicapped as a -325 favorite. Neither Bute nor Froch has ever been stopped in a fight, and this one is likely to go the distance as well.

There is always a chance that a KO could happen, and Froch has lost two of his last four fights. He may be past his prime and ripe for a KO loss if his skills have deteriorated to that point. The UNDER 9.5 rounds wager currently pays a generous +215, and could end up being a good option if Froch folds under the pressure that Bute will surely bring.

With five different winners in five races paying off this season on the Formula 1 betting odds, McLaren driver Lewis Hamilton will be looking to break through this Sunday (8:00 am Eastern) with his first victory of the year at the Monaco Grand Prix in Monte Carlo.

Join Bovada NOW for an instant 20% Free Bet Bonus up to $100.

Hamilton, who won this prestigious Formula 1 race against the auto racing betting odds back in 2008 en route to his first (and only) drivers championship crown, will await the green flag on the two-mile street course as the 3/1 betting favorite despite the fact he currently sits in third place in the standings behind front-runners Fernando Alonso and Sebastian Vettel.

Vettel, of Team Red Bull, won the Monaco Grand Prix last year with Ferrari’s Alonso chasing him across the finish line in second place, and both drivers have already picked up a victory on the Formula 1 circuit this season while duelling to a tie at 61 points atop the driver standings. Both drivers are listed just behind Hamilton at 5/1 odds to earn another victory on Sunday, with Alonso previously winning this event back-to-back in 2007 and 2006.

Hamilton’s teammate Jenson Button (9/1 odds) was third across the finish line last year and took the checkered flag in 2009, while Mark Webber (16/1) of Red Bull was the 2010 winner and will be looking for his fifth consecutive Top 5 finish at Monaco.

Lotus teammates Kimi Räikkönen (11/2 odds) and Romain Grosjean (11/1) are also listed among the Top 6 contenders to pick up their first victory of the season this week in Monte Carlo, with Pastor Maldonado – fresh off his victory at the Spanish Grand Prix two weeks ago – listed along with Webber at 16/1 odds.

New Jersey State Senator Raymond J. Lesniak is calling out Governor Chris Christie to take action and support online gambling options as well as to remove a federal ban on sports wagering options. Lesniak decided to take a stance after over a dozen individuals were arrested as part of an illegal online gambling operation.

Lesniak wants online gambling options to be legalized, such as online poker, as well as sports betting so legitimate businesses and the state will be able to benefit from the revenues generated. Lesniak is a current sponsor of bills that would allow both online gambling and sports wagering and he spoke out on the subject stating:

Denny Hamlin and Kyle Busch are favorites to win the History 300 at Charlotte Motor Speedway on Saturday, but it's standings leader Ricky Stenhouse Jr. who is the hottest driver in the Nationwide Series heading into the event. Bet on NASCAR with Bovada today.

Join Bovada NOW for an instant 20% Free Bet Bonus up to $100.

Stenhouse Jr. won his third Nationwide Series race of the season last weekend, taking the checkered flag in the Pioneer Hi-Bred 250 at Iowa Speedway. That has him tied with Sprint Cup Series regular Joey Logano with three victories through the first 10 races of 2012.

And that also has Stenhouse Jr. 34 points ahead of Elliott Sadler – who has won twice on the Nationwide Series this season – in the driver standings heading into the weekend's event at Charlotte. Sprint Cup Series regulars aren't eligible for the Nationwide points race.

Stenhouse Jr. is tied for second at 17/4 odds to get the win in the History 300 on Saturday, putting him behind Hamlin (13/4) and even with Busch (17/4) on that motor racing odds list at Bovada. Kevin Harvick is pegged at 21/4 odds, with Logano at 29/4 to get the win.

Sadler then sits at 37/4 on those Nationwide Series odds, with Kasey Kahne at 10/1, and Austin Dillon at 17/1. Sadler and Dillon have each picked up eight Top-10 results through 10 Nationwide races this season, while Stenhouse Jr. leads the way with nine Top-10s.

Of the Sprint Cup Series drivers who race on the Nationwide circuit, Logano has had the most success with his three wins and five Top-10s in eight starts, while Kahne has finished in the Top 10 five times in seven outings. Hamlin has four Top-10s in five Nationwide Series races in 2012, while Harvick has three Top-10s in his four races on the circuit.

Busch has just two Top-10 finishes in his six Nationwide Series races this season, but he's also won this event in four of the past eight years. Kahne won this race in 2007.

Sam Hornish Jr. (28/1), Justin Allgaier (35/1), Travis Pastrana (50/1), and Danica Patrick (50/1) round out the listed drivers on the Nationwide Series odds at Bovada for Saturday's race, with Patrick having earned just one Top-10 finish through 10 races this season.

Legalized sportsbetting in New Jersey just might be a reality after all. Governor Christie is taking this goal he has proposed in a very serious way. The Governor will not hesitate to defend his point of view and he very well showed that to the public in the controversial news conference that took place yesterday. Without hesitation he was outspoken on his plans and did not even worry about the fact that he was sitting next to potential legal opposition.

Perhaps it’s because youth tennis players in the United States rarely if ever play on clay, but the drought for American players winning a title at the French Open has no reached a decade. However, Serena Williams is the 5/2 favorite on Bovada’s tennis odds to take home the second major of the tennis season, which begins Sunday on the red clay of Roland Garros.

Check out Bovada's Sports Welcome Bonus: Sign up and deposit for your 20% Free Bet Bonus up to $100

How bad has the U.S. drought been in Paris? No American male or female has even reached the championship match since Serena beat sister Venus in the 2002 final. So obviously that’s the only French Open championship in Serena’s career. Serena, No. 5 in the world, hasn’t even gotten past the quarterfinals since 2004, although she has missed this tournament in 2005, ’06 and last year.

Serena appears finally healthy and is 27-2 this year with two singles titles, in Madrid and Charleston, S.C. She did withdraw from her semifinal match of Italian Open last week with a lower back injury but it’s not serious. Serena has 13 Grand Slam titles overall but is looking for her first since Wimbledon in 2010.

Victoria Azarenka of Belarus is the No. 1 player in the world and is the second-favorite at 4/1. She is a terrific 35-3 this season and won the Australian Open for her first major title. However, she also withdrew from the Italian Open, with her malady a shoulder injury. And the lone time Azarenka played Serena this year, she was routed in the final of the Madrid Open earlier this month. Azarenka has never gotten past the quarterfinals at the French Open.

World No. 2 Maria Sharapova (6/1 to win) enters with momentum, having beaten Li Na in the finals of the Italian Open to defender championship there. The French Open is the only Grand Slam tournament Sharapova has yet to win in her career. She was a semifinalist last year.

China’s Li Na (12/1) looks to become the first repeat champion since Justine Henin had a threepeat from 2005-07. Last year, Li became the first Asian player, male or female, to win a Grand Slam tournament with a 6-4, 7-6 win over 2011 champion Francesca Schiavone. Li hasn’t won a tournament since Roland Garros and hasn’t been past the fourth round in any of the past three Slams.

The second Grand Slam tournament of the tennis season begins Sunday on the red clay of Roland Garros in Paris, and Spaniard Rafael Nadal is the 5/6 favorite on Bovada’s tennis odds to win a record seventh French Open title.

Check out Bovada's Sports Welcome Bonus: Sign up and deposit for your 20% Free Bet Bonus up to $100

How dominant has Nadal been at this tournament? When the lefty beat Roger Federer 7-5, 7-6 (3), 5-7, 6-1 in the finals of last year’s event, it improved Nadal to 45-1 all-time in Paris and was his sixth French Open championship, tying Hall of Famer Bjorn Borg for the most. While Federer holds the record with 15 Grand Slam titles, last year’s victory was Nadal’s 10th Slam. And he is now 6-2 against Federer in Grand Slam finals and 5-0 at the French Open (in the 2005 semifinals, and the 2006, 2007, 2008 and 2011 finals).

And Nadal, ranked second in the world, is rolling through this clay-court season, having just beaten world No. 1 Novak Djokovic on Monday to win his record sixth Italian Open title and 35th overall clay-court title. Nadal did not drop a set all tournament to clinch his third Italian Open victory in four years, with his winning streak interrupted last year by Djokovic. The only time Nadal has failed to reach the French Open finals in his career was when a gimpy Nadal lost to Robin Soderling of the 2009 tournament.

No. 1 Djokovic, who currently holds the Wimbledon, U.S. Open and Australian Open titles, is the second-favorite at 9/4. He has never won the French Open, with a best finish of the semifinals. That’s where he was upset last year, when Djokovic was 42-0, by Federer. Djokovic has already lost five times this season – loss No. 5 in 2011 didn't come until his final event in November.

No. 3 Federer is at 8/1 and he’s on a Grand Slam drought. Since winning his 15th title at the 2010 Australian Open, Federer has reached just one Slam final, coming in Paris last year. The Swiss legend won this tournament in 2009 when he beat Soderling in the championship match. The other four times Federer has reached the French final, Nadal beat him.

An American hasn’t won the French Open since Andre Agassi 13 years ago and it’s highly unlikely that changes this year. John Isner has the shortest odds at 66/1. He has never advanced past the third round in three tries at Roland Garros and has only reached on Slam quarterfinal in his career.

Boxer Paul Williams was driving his modified sport motorcycle too fast for conditions when he crashed into an embankment, police said Tuesday.

Williams was paralyzed and has no movement from the waist down after Sunday’s crash in Marietta, northwest of Atlanta, his manager George Peterson said.

The 30-year-old athlete severed his spinal cord after falling on his back and head when he was thrown from his motorcycle, Peterson said.

Williams was driving at a high rate of speed which was too fast for conditions, Marietta police said in a statement Tuesday. Police say he could not negotiate a curve, and the bike slammed into the embankment.

Williams, a fighter known as “The Punisher,” is from Aiken, S.C. He was in metro Atlanta to attend his brother’s wedding.

He was scheduled to fight Saul “Canelo” Alvarez on Sept. 15 in Las Vegas but that event has been canceled, Peterson said.

Williams is among the most versatile and unusual athletes in boxing, making him a highly undesirable opponent for the world’s best fighters during his lengthy, successful career. He has competed effectively in an impressive three weight classes against much shorter foes, even comfortably making the 147-pound welterweight limit despite his lanky 6-foot-2 frame.
