Auxerre vs Ajaccio

Auxerre ended a series of three consecutive defeats, managed a surprise, Monday night, winning away at leader Troyes 2-1. It was the first part at the discretion of Troyes who missed several occasions. On a counter Auxerre was awarded with a corner kick, scoring the first goal, after a suspect phase (2 Auxerre's players were left alone in front of the gate, was too hard to miss from there). After this first concede goal in this campaign Troyes became too shy but tried to return back in game; but in the second half same Mbombo scored also on a counter, quite easily, sealing the fate of the match, even Nivet scored for 1-2 late in game. It was a strange derby ... A lot problems in host squad for this match. Besides long time injured Samaritano, Gragnic and Nabab, Aguillar is suspended and other two players are injured. AC Ajaccio disappointed in the previous match, having drawn 1-1 at home against a team with modest display in away games Chateauroux . They got a goal after a defensive error, equaling in the second half after a nice free kick by Cavalli. But Chateauroux had a huge opportunity to overcome Ajaccio so Ajaccio can be happy with this point. No major problems lot. With high moral after an important victory Auxerre can out real problems to Ajaccio.

Chateauroux vs Nancy

Surprisingly Chateauroux returned for second consecutive trip with a point 1-1 at AC Ajaccio, after previous trip they stolen a point at Angers. So slowly they become a competitive team also in away matches ... They took advantage of a defensive error from the Ajaccio and scored on a counter. Boyer is suspended, otherwise the list of injured players remained the same. On the other hand Nancy suffers a lot in attack. After Loius left the team Nancy forgot to win. Another draw at home 1-1 against Sochaux, guests leveling in the end of the game. So they have already reached 4 games without a win (three draws and one defeat). Some problems while Muratori is doubtful. Although playing well, Nancy has problems in attack. On the other side Chateauroux has a small advantage considering that they play at home on synthetic surface.

Creteil vs Clermont Foot

Despite some squad problems in the previous round, Creteil managed to snatch a pointaway at Valenciennes against a team hungry for win. Although they started bad, concede in first minutes of the gamae they comeback in game equaling just before halftime. They had chances to score, being, overall, more active and more dangerous team. The two suspended players Ndoye and Seckfrom previous match, return now, remaining sidelined captain Lesage and two other players. So their midfield will be considerably strengthen; In these conditions I expect Creteil to create more opportunities to score. Clermont finally managed first win thanks to a very nice goal scored by Saadi . A deserved victory in front of a quite apathetic LeHavre . But if they met an opponent which would put some pressure on their shaky deffense, I think Clermont had big chances to remain without a win. Although no major problems in squad with injured players, Clermont seem not to be fully focused on what they have to do. Away from home they are quite poor taking only 1 point in 4 trips they had, receiving eight goals and scoring just 3.

Laval vs Angers

Laval still looking for first win of the season. They have five points thanks to five draws and one defeat. They were extremely close to first win in the last round, leading 1-0 in Orleans until 90 min, when they conceded the equalizer, managed to win a point. A match quite modest where Laval hit first and did what they know to do better, defending. No recent injured players in Laval squad. On the other side Angers won in handi, as anticipated against Ajaccio GFCO. A fabulous first goal followed immediately the next minute with another one build the success of Anger even they missed several chances to score; overall was a deserved victory. A long list of injured but Moulin has a large lot with good players in all positions. They lost the opening match 2-3 Nimes but managed a series of five matches without defeat, thanks to which they came 3rd in the table.

Barcelona
Out of the squad, new keeper Marc-André ter Stegen, Douglas, Sandro, Pedro, Marc Bartra, Martín Montoya and Gerard Piqué arguably have the most to gain from added minutes. Whether Lucho thinks it is necessary to instill that in his players at this point in the season is up to him. But it’s something that needs to be addressed before injuries start to make Lucho’s choices for him. Piqué’s lack of confidence against Athletic Bilbao was smellier than a rotting gazelle on the Serengeti, and any poacher of a forward worth his mettle will put as much pressure as possible on the out-of-form defender. By the same token, a rusty Adriano and Montoya could prove shaky cover for Jordi Alba at left back once his swashbuckling tendencies inevitably get him a hamstring injury.

Bayern Munchen
Pep Guardiola’s Bayern Munich experiment has thus far been largely characterised by a free-flowing, dynamic style that can only be praised. Yet, despite their utter dominance of German domestic football, there can be no mistaking that Champions League glory is the ultimate prize for the Bavarian giants. They seem likely to miss the talismanic figure of Arjen Robben this week due to injury, while Bastian Schweinsteiger and Thiago Alcantara are also set to miss the action. Javi Martinez is also unavailable, which will almost certainly necessitate the inclusion of Xabi Alonso in the holding role alongside Lahm.

Manuel Pellegrini will be banned from the touchline on Wednesday following comments he made in the wake of their Champions League exit to Barcelona last season. I’m certain that Pellegrini will opt for one striker up front, considering the talent at Munich’s disposal. Fernandinho and Toure will offer a muscular force in midfield, while Pellegrini would be wise to utilise the electrifying pace of Navas on the counterattacks.

Getafe
Getafe cannot be satisfied with the performance so far in the Spanish league. Only a victory could retract from three games. This sense of achievement are facing two defeats. This victory was achieved on a tight 1: 0 win over Almeria. Against Celta Vigo you had to contrast with 1 beaten 3. The second defeat one conceded against Sevilla. There, they lost the last game with 0: second With a record of one win and two defeats one has only the 15th place in the table. The offensive overlooks two goals scored and the defense had to accept all five goals. Especially in the offensive zone, one must be significantly increased. With Valencia you meet next matchday no easy opponents. In addition, you must then compete in the Primera Division against Espanyol, Malaga and Cordoba.

Real Madrid
After poor start to the new season Real Madrid managed to win very convincingly two games in a row. On Tuesday Carlo Ancelotti’s men defeated Basel 5:1 in Champions League match, on Saturday they won 8:2 away game against Deportivo La Coruna. In the past El Riazor was the toughest ground for Los Blancos, even tougher than Camp Nou. However, on Saturday, Real Madrid managed to set up their new club record – they have never before scored 8 goals in an away league match. Cristiano Ronaldo managed to complete a hat-trick, it’s worth to notice that he didn’t score a single goal at El Riazor before, so it was a historic match in many ways. In a game against Elche rotations are to be expected, however Ronaldo should start in the first team, despite the fact that he struggled with injuries in the past few months. “He doesn’t need a rest. Now we really need him, he’s both physically and mentally ready to play,” said Carlo Ancelotti about his Portuguese star. Varane is expected to play again instead of Pepe, who needs more time to get back. It’s expected that Benzema will be rested, Javier ‘Chicharito’ Hernandez should take his place. “He played in every game since he joined the club. Now he has more self-confidence, he feels well in the squad, and we feel good with him,” Ancelotti continues. It’s also expected that Illarramendi and Isco should play in this match. It should be noted that last year both Illarramendi and Isco managed to score goals in a home match against Elche.

In total, both sides played 22 matches in Madrid, there were 4 draws and 18 Real Madrid’s wins. It’s expected that Elche, just like their rivals, will also make rotations. First of all, goalkeeper Tyton played terrible match on Friday, he was the worst player on the pitch, so there may be change in goal.

Celta Vigo
Celta Vigo is playing really good football, both effective and entertaining … they have 3 draws and 1 win in 4 matches but had a couple of good opponents … last round Celta held for a 2-2 draw at Vicente Calderon with Atletico Madrid. Celta has one of the most entertaining brands of football in La Liga, they scored and conceded in every game so far and have a goal difference of 8-6. Celta is pretty healthy for this game but Fernandez and Oubina will not play.

Deportivo was absolutely destroyed by Real last round … 2-8 defeat at home will take a very long time to be forgiven and forgotten. It is clear that Deportivo’s defense is not up to La Liga standards and if they don’t improve they will have big problems staying up. Previously to the Real Madrid game Deportivo had 4 points in 3 matches, but opponents like Cordoba, Rayo and Eibar were not appropriate tests … Real was and we all saw what happen. For this game Deportivo will miss Insua, Perez and Salomao.

Elche
Elche, after disappointing performance, lost on Friday to Eibar in front of its fans. “Losses are normal things for a team like us. They were better and we were unable to do anything,” said coach Escriba. Now, Elche faces a tough task as they never won at Santiago Bernabeu.

The Empoli’s striker has fully recovered from injury, but is not yet fit enough to play. Because of that Empoli have some problems in attack, but all other players are ready for this match.Fernando Torres could make his debut on this match. Michael Essien has been ruled out for the visitors with a foot injury, while Jeremy Menez has been included in the squad after picking up an adductor problem against Juventus.

AC Milan coach Filippo Inzaghi fully expects his team to bounce back from their first defeat of the season at the weekend when they take on Empoli in Tuscany on Tuesday. The Rossoneri had beaten Lazio and Parma in their opening two games before falling 1-0 to Juventus at the San Siro on Saturday. Inzaghi, who replaced Clarence Seedorf at the helm in the summer, was pleased with his team’s performance against the Italian champions.

Last away matches - W-L-W-W-D-W

Almeria
Almeria started the season with 3 matches without a victory. They got their first victory of the season against Real Sociedad in the last round. Almeria is doing pretty well this season, especially considering the fact that many key players left the club during summer. Whole attacking line changed, best defender, Marco Torsiglieri, is also no longer in Andalusia. In home matches Almeria managed to make two 1:1 draws (against Espanyol and Cordoba), however they deserved all 3 points from match against Espanyol. On the road Fransisco’s men lost to Getafe (but totally undeservingly) and won in a good style this Sunday at Anoeta against Real Sociedad.

Away - Atlerico Madrid

Atlerico Madrid
Atletico lost many of their best players from last season, for example Curtois GK went back to Chelsea and Diego Costa was bought by Chelsea. They have bought some new quality players but I do not think they will be able to repeat last seasons 2nd place in Champions League and winner of La Liga. Atletico Madrid did well this season in matches against Real Madrid, but against other opponents they won just once (Eibar). On Saturday Atletico dropped two points in a home game against Celta. However, the level of play was not bad, Simeone claimed it was best Atletico’s performance this season.

Rayo Vallecano
The ambitions of Rayo Vallecano have become larger, but so far he has achieved nothing positive. The team has brought no victory. But it has taken in the first round at home to Atletico a goalless draw. This is not bad but after the present owners have played a draw in La Coruna, 2: second Then the home game against Elche followed, when she was a shocking 2: have conceded 3 defeat. This has quite disconcerted the player from Rayo Vallecano. You will then have at Villarreal tries to get a positive result again and also led 2: 0, which could not hold them and lost 2: 4th In the last three games the team plays like last season, as they have conceded the most goals in the league. In the last three games the player from Rayo Vallecano conceded nine goals. Coach Paco Jemez constantly changing somewhat, with only Bueno and Kakuta are irreplaceable. These two players have scored all six goals from Rayo Vallecano namely.

Athletic Bilbao
Athletic has obviously focused entirely on the CL-placement and was used as the then managed, it did not go so well in the championship. The Basques could only beat Levante at home, while they have lost in Malaga and Barcelona. In both games they could have achieved a positive result by a little more luck, but they could not score a goal. This was followed by two more disappointments in their own stadium. First they have in the context of the Champions League against Shakhtar 0: 0 plays and last weekend they have against Granada 0: 1. So you have three games stored in a row without a goal scored, which is a really poor performance for Athletic. Coach Valverde often rotates the players and changed the starting lineup, then what is it to be too expensive. Now there will certainly be changes again. Gurpegui and Laporte should come to the positions of the central defender and M. Rico goes into midfield.

Eibar
Eibar generally made good impression in their first four matches in La Liga. Many people expected them to be clear outsiders, but they are not, at least not yet. Currently team occupies 9th spot and has 4 points advantage over relegation zone. Still, everyone in the club know it’s just the beginning and situation can get worse in the next couple of days as Basque side is facing two difficult opponents: Villarreal and Athletic Bilbao. Coach Garitano is very optimistic: “In all matches we’re close to victory. I am thinking in a positive way about the future, team is working really well. We’re coming for the game against Elche after two losses and we certainly deserved more from these matches.

Villarreal managed to turn things around and won 4:2 home match against Rayo, despite being 0:2 down. “We knew this match was very important because we didn’t win any of previous two league games. It wasn’t easy cause three days before we played very difficult match in Europa League. In the first half team had problems, we must get used to playing every 3 days on the highest level. I am very happy with this victory, it’s very hard to win game when you’re 0:2 down. It was imperative to score a goal before the break,” said coach Marcelino.

Sevilla
Sevilla have very good start to this 14/15 campaign. Three wins (Espanyol, Getafe, Cordoba) and draw (Valencia) means it’s best start since 30 years. In season 84/85 Sevilla also started with 3 victories (Malaga, Athletic Bilbao, Real Madrid) and draw (Elche). Whole team works really hard, even wingers Vitolo and Aleix Vidal greatly help in the defense. It should be noted that Vitolo ran 11,86 km in the last match (against Cordoba) and Aleix Vidal also did well in this matter (10,89 km). It’s one of the main reasons why other wingers, Deulofeu and Reyes, don’t play in the first team. But generally, Unai Emery likes rotations. Although against Cordoba the same team played as in a game against Getafe, it’s very unlikely for Emery. So far he played 61 league matches as Sevilla’s coach and there were 58 different teams. It’s hard to predict whether the same team will play again, against Real Sociedad. First of all, there is a big question mark who’ll play in goal. Beto recovered from injury and he’s ready to play

Real Sociedad had ups and downs during this season, but certainly there were more ‘downs’. The only one ‘up’ was match against Real Madrid. Still, coach Jagoba Arrasate remains optimistic. “I trust my players and I believe we can make a good result at Sanchez Pizjuan. There will be 2 or 3 chances in the team in comparison to last game. Sevilla is a good team and we must play well in order to cause troubles to the hosts,” said Arrasate. During last game (home loss against Almeria), some fans expressed their untrust towards Arrasate. “I am only focused on Sevilla game,” he said. Right-back Zaldua is probably out for this match.

Espanyol is one of 4 teams which didn’t win any league game this season. As a result, club from Barcelona currently occupies 18th spot, in relegation zone, with just 2 points collected. Last Saturday it appeared that they were going for a win, however game against Malaga ended in a 2:2 draw after Duda managed to find stoppage-time equalizer from free kick. “Of course we were disappointed after conceding goal in 93rd minute. However, time go by and we are looking forward for the next match,” said coach Sergio Gonzalez. He is a former Espanyol player and fans really liked the decision of appointing him as a coach, he has a lot of credit but it won’t last forever. So, Gonzalez realizes how important the upcoming match is: “Every game is important, but given our current situation it’s a crucial fixture. This match is more important than others because we need victory which would give us some peace. We need our fans to come to the stadium and support us, without them we’re a worse team. I hope one point against Malaga was a turning point for us.” Sergio Gonzalez also spoke about their rivals: “Getafe didn’t start as well as it was expected, however they are a dangerous team.” Bad news is that Paco Montanes is sidelined with injury. Mattioni took his place in match squad, there are no other changes in comparison with the last game. Players are looking forward for this encounter. “It’s too early to look at the standings. We must play with high intensity on Thursday and go for a win,” said Lucas Vazquez.

Getafe plays poor football, team doesn’t look particularly motivated and united. Best player, Pedro Leon, still cannot play. Although RFEF allowed him to play, LFP didn’t do that and coach Cosmin Contra doesn’t want to take risks. “Situation isn’t good. I cannot take risk. It’s a tough situation for entire team and it negatively affects us,” said Contra. On Monday Getafe lost at home to Valencia 0:3 in a very poor style. Coach Contra believes his players have mental problem, but he’s optimistic ahead of next game. “We trained very well during week, I have good feelings. Players are working really hard. In football, there is no other way than to keep working and try avoiding the same mistakes again. One of the reason why we didn’t start well is that we faced better teams than us. We’ll try to win against Espanyol,” said Contra.

Mattioni took his place in match squad, there are no other changes in comparison with the last game. Players are looking forward for this encounter. “It’s too early to look at the standings. Getafe

Valencia
Valencia is getting better and better and this season the expectations from them are much higher than in the league campaign, as the money are now there and it is just up to the coach to manage to build a really good squad, something which I think he had already done. The new owner of the club had spend a lot of money on new players this summer and had stated that in the winter we are going to see another bunch of really good transfers in the club, who should help them getting a place in the top four and qualifying for the Champions League next season.

Cordoba
Cordoba CF have been quite terrible so far in the season, the biggest threat for them has been Valencia CF loaned player Fede Cartabia who has scored two goals for them and has been one of the most threatening players. He would not be able to play against Valencia CF though due to a clause in the loan deal, so Valencia CF won't have to worry about that and is going to have an easier time on the right flank at the back.

RCD Espanyol
Lazio
Lazio was in the first three rounds of Serie A away defeated at Milan and Genoa, while the team won at home against Cesena. In addition, the Romans against the low-tier Bassan 7 as part of the Italian Cup competition at home: 0. For this reason, the fans expect in this match against Udinese with all points yield, which her favorites were back in the top half of the table. Meanwhile, of course, the veteran coach Pioli is confident and has therefore announced a few changes in the starting XI. This refers particularly to the defensive line and the attack while only the middle compared to the game should remain unchanged in Genoa. In the meantime, the number of injured players has increased. Now the defensive player Basta, Radu and Gentiletti and midfielder Biglia, Gonzalez, Cataldi and Ederson are on this list. Centre back de Vrij cards can not play due to this current Duel.

Udinese has already said yes as six points on the board. The team that is brought home wins against Empoli and Naples, while she was beaten laps before two away in the current football champions Juventus. This pretty young team, led by captain Di Natale may be satisfied with past performance, especially since it home in the context of the Italian Cup competition against the second division Ternan 5: won one. In addition, one should take into account that the long-term skilled Guidolin left the team over the summer and has taken the place of the sporting director of Udinese. In its place the ambitious Andre Stramaccioni has come. He has changed the starting lineup to 4-3-2-1 right at the start. Since he has so far taken three wins, we believe that even now against Lazio the same starting lineup will accrue. Not here are the injured goalkeeper Scuffet, defensive player Domizzi and Gabriel Silva and midfielder Riera.

With a Cyprus Supercup and two victories in the first two rounds of the Cypriot Championship in the back pocket, APOEL is off to a usual good start. And considering manager Giorgos Donis made off with a league and cup double last season, he certainly knows how to get the better of his opponents.Defensive veteran John Arne-Riise is perhaps the most recognizable name in the Cyprus squad, but his fitness will prevent him from taking the field. Greek central defender Anastasios Papazoglou has just returned from injury and will bolster the back line tasked with marking Barcelona’s pesky strikers.

Pablo Zabaleta is also suspended, which will see the vastly experienced figure of Bacary Sagna charged with the unenviable task of marking Franck Ribery. I’m certain that Pellegrini will opt for one striker up front, considering the talent at Munich’s disposal. Fernandinho and Toure will offer a muscular force in midfield, while Pellegrini would be wise to utilise the electrifying pace of Navas on the counterattacks.

Villarreal
Very quickly the hosts took the lead and kept it for the first-half and 25 minutes of the second. The equalizer came in the 71st minute from Gerardo Moreno. For the young Spaniard it was the first goal of the new season. Villareal are now sitting 7th in the table with 8 points gathered in 5 games. So far this season Villareal players won against UD Levante Valencia (a 0:2 away victory) and against Rayo Vallecano (4:2 home win). They lost the whole 3 points only against FC Barcelona on the second match day. Apart from these games they drew two other ones in La Liga (with Granada and Eibar). Villareal are also fighting in the Europa League. In the first round the Spanish side flew to Germany where they played Borussia M’gladbach. The game ended draw as well.

The Madrid players have got more time to prepare and rest. Still, it should not be for a big advantage since both teams are used to play on many cups and tournaments. So matches within shorter period of time are nothing new to them. Los Blancos probably forgot about their problems from the very beginning of the season. On Tuesday Ronaldo & Co. won 5:1 against Elche at Santiago Bernabeu. The game was Ronaldo’s scoring show – the Portuguese scored 4 goals in that meeting (two were penalties). The Portuguese striker has scored in each league game so far and has altogether 9 goals on his account already. In the last three matches in all competitions (Spanish Primera Division and Champions League) Carlo Ancelotti’s team scored as many as 18 goals while they conceaded only 4. Real must still do without Khedira, who is injured. However, we hear more and more about a possible Arsenal move of the German international.

Barcelona
Barca have made it five unbeaten result in five consecutive weeks of the Spanish top-flight league, although their most recent outing was not necessarily a three-pointer. They opened the season with a 3-0 home victory against Elche which was then followed by three more clean sheets versus Villarreal 0-1, Athletic Bilbao 2-0, and Levante 0-5. Their fifth and most recent battle prevented them from scoring a goal, but they also made sure that the opposition will be goalless as well (versus Malaga 0-0). Thus far, Barcelona are the only side in the tournament to not concede a single goal. Needless to say, World Cup Golden Ball winner Leo Messi remains to be the club’s top player, with Neymar, Munir, and Sandro Ramirez not far behind.

Granada
Minus their debacle from the recently concluded brawl against Levante, Granada have so far been one of the top favorites in the current season of the Spanish top-flight tournament—a distinction it never enjoyed in the same degree as the last season. Before plummeting to the eighth spot (which is still part of the top half) of the current league rankings, Nazaries were consistently part of the top six in the first four weeks of La Liga. They made their best table appearance in the second week when they placed fourth after holding Elche in a draw. The defense is quite stunning, but the attack can do so much better than it seems to display.

Defending champions Atletico Madrid have lost Diego Costa to Chelsea, which might explain their slightly unflattering performance in the new season of La Liga. Parking at number three, the side have won three of their last five league matches while the remainders were draws. Although they remain unbeaten in the Spanish top-flight football, they are in constant pressure by the current leaders, Barcelona, as well as their upcoming foes, Sevilla who have made impressive stunts to put themselves in the top two. In addition, they lost all the points to Olympiakos from their latest appearance in the Champions League.
