No LeBron James news yet, but some of the mini-superstars seem to be sticking with their former teams. Dirk Nowitzki decided to stay with the Dallas Mavericks and now Joe Johnson is sticking with the Altanta Hawks.
Johnson's agent has said that his client will sign the maximum, approximately $119 million over six years, nearly $27 million more than any other team could offer.
"When the free agency period kicked in, Joe made a point of talking to the Hawks first," Tellem wrote in the blog post. "Their owners and new coach, Larry Drew, impressed Joe with their commitment to making the team championship-caliber. In turn, Joe felt equally committed to the Hawks, his teammates and the city of Atlanta."
Johnson was doing his free agent rounds before deciding on the Hawks. He made stops with the New York Knicks and Chicago Bulls before opting for his original team. Johnson was seen as possible complimentary player with whichever team LeBron James or Dwyane Wade choose to sign with.

When the LA Lakers came back from a 3-2 series deficit against the Boston Celtics in the 2010 NBA Finals, some were confident that the Celtics would go on to win it all.

That the two-time reigning NBA champion Los Angeles Lakers have started the season 4-0 is no surprise whatsoever, but the fact Sacramento is 3-1 is fairly surprising as the Kings look to make a bit of a statement tonight – bet on the game with Bodog’s NBA odds.
Sacramento will have an advantage in that the Lakers will be playing the second of a back-to-back. L.A. beat Memphis 124-105 on Tuesday night behind 23 points from Kobe Bryant and 21 points and 13 rebounds from Pau Gasol. The latter is the reigning Western Conference Player of the Week and has averaged a team-leading 25.3 points on 52.5% shooting and 10.3 rebounds in 38.3 minutes per contest. The Lakers lead the NBA in scoring at more than 114 points per game.
It’s hard to say if the Kings are really any better because tonight’s game will likely be their first against a 2011 playoff team. But, hey, they are 3-1 for the first time in seven years and third in the NBA in scoring, led by Tyreke Evans’ 20 points per game (and 6 rebounds and 6 assists). The Kings have six players averaging in double figures but have had to rally from big deficits in their past two games. In fact, the Kings have won two games in which they trailed by more than 15 points, after winning only one game of that type over the previous two seasons.
This game will be a rarity for Sacramento as it’s just the third nationally-televised ESPN home game since the 2007-08 season. The Lakers swept Sacramento last season, although each game was pretty close. The Lakers have surpassed 100 points in 16 consecutive games against Sacramento, averaging 114.8 while winning 13 of those matchups.

It doesn't sound like Steve Nash's wife got an epidural. The stuff she must have said to him during labor was probably pretty mean because just a day after the birth of their third child, Matteo Joel Nash, Steve announced he was divorcing his wife of five years, Alejandra Nash.
Yes, just one day after the birth of Matteo, Steve released a statement which said: “I am very thankful and excited that we have a new son, Matteo Nash. Alejandra and the baby are doing fine. But this is a bittersweet moment for my wife and I; after five years, we are now in the process of dissolving our marriage. While we have lived separately for the past several months, we remain firmly committed to raising our children in the most positive, nurturing way possible. I want only good things for all going forward; right now, I’m focused on ensuring that our children understand how much they’re loved and adored by us as they continue to adjust to these changes. I would ask that their privacy, and ours as a family, be respected as we move forward. This will be my only statement on this.”
The 37-year-old NBA Phoenix Suns’ point guard has been together with his wife for nine years and married since 2005. They also have six-year-old twin daughters, Lola and Bella.
The Suns announced the birth of Steve's son in a news release Friday, but the crews doing the radio and television broadcasts of the Sacramento game on Friday night gag ordered not to discuss the impending divorce between Steve and Alejandra Nash.
Even at 37 and with injuries, Nash continues to be one of the best point guards in the NBA. Think the Suns will prevail? Bodog Sportsbook has all your NBA Odds in the online sportsbook. Get in on the action today.

Well, you can probably put all that talk of the L.A. Lakers possibly winning 70 games this season to rest as Los Angeles enters Tuesday night’s game at Milwaukee on a two-game losing streak. Bet on the game with Bodog’s NBA odds.
This starts a three-game road trip for the Lakers, who were beaten in Denver last Thursday and then lost at home to Phoenix on Sunday. That Suns loss might have been a bit of a fluke as Phoenix hit 22 3-pointers, the second-most in NBA history. The teams combined for 31 3s, second-most in league history behind the 32 by Phoenix and Seattle in a double-overtime game on Jan. 22, 2006. Kobe Bryant nearly had his first triple-double of the season, finishing with 25 points, 14 assists and nine rebounds.
Lakers forward Lamar Odom has been terrific in the early going and played 42 minutes in Sunday’s loss, after which he said he felt a burning sensation in the top of his foot. Odom, who is averaging 15.1 ppg and 10.9 rebounds, was diagnosed with a bone bruise in his right foot after an MRI exam Monday. He is questionable to play tonight.
The last time the Lakers visited the Bradley Center about 11 months ago, Kobe drained a game-winning jumper at the buzzer in overtime, giving Los Angeles a 107-106 victory. Bryant, who had 39 points in that previous Bucks meeting in Milwaukee, has the Lakers leading the NBA in scoring this season at 112.5 points per game. Milwaukee has limited its last three opponents to an 81-point average, including holding a high-powered Golden State offense to 72 points (32 below its average) on Saturday night. It was Milwaukee’s third straight win. Brandon Jennings leads the team in scoring at 15.7 ppg.
Los Angeles swept the series a year ago and has won the last five games and 24 of the last 29 between the two.

OK, it was the Washington Wizards, and rookie phenom John Wall didn't play, but the Miami Heat rebounded from Saturday's loss to the Dallas Mavericks with a 105-94 win.
The Heat had lost three of their last four before tonight, and it seemed like their frustrations were about to plateau with a loss at Dallas. But behind a 30-point game from LeBron James the Heat were able to control the game for four quarters.
That said, Miami weren't able to cover the 13-point spread. Bettors who decided to bet against the talented squad have been getting paid lately. In their last 10 games the Heat are a brutal 1-9 against the spread, it appears oddsmakers aren't sure what to make of the all-star squad.

The Lakers guard has endorsed airplanes before, but now he's getting paid to do it. According to CNBC, Bryant has inked a two-year deal with Turkish Airlines, which will soon offer non-stop service from Los Angeles International Airport to Istanbul, Turkey.
As part of the deal Bryant will star in a promotional film to be used on international television and shown in movie theaters. Of course, an even bigger bonus is that Bryant will get to travel to Turkey for the first time. Wouldn't you know he's been dying to go.
"I've never been to Turkey," Bryant told CNBC. "But all the guys on the team in the league who have been keep saying it's one of the hottest places to go to."
Here that? "Guys." Plural. So not just Allen Iverson.
With nuts and bolts out of the way, I hope you'll allow me a brief personal aside.
I have flown on Turkish Airlines, and found the entire experience delightful. But for an NBA fan such as myself, what stood above all else was the cultural dominance of Turkish NBA player Mehmet Okur.
Every flight attendant I asked (and I asked them all) had not only heard of him, but lit up at the mere mention of his name. They even served his personal juice drink. I had it four times on the flight. When I got to the airport, guy who checked my ID at the gate had a picture of himself with Okur on his cell phone!
What were we talking about again? Anyway, the point is that Turkish people really like Mehmet Okur.

The struggling Orlando Magic are clearly going all-in to appease franchise center Dwight Howard as Orlando has traded Vince Carter, Marcin Gortat, Mickael Pietrus, a 2001 first-round pick and $3 million to Phoenix for former Magic star Hedo Turkoglu, Jason Richardson and Earl Clark. And Orlando reportedly isn’t done, as it is set to acquire Gilbert Arenas from Washington for Rashard Lewis.
This is an epic reshaping of a contender this far into in the season. Turkoglu was a huge reason why the Magic made the NBA Finals two seasons ago, but Orlando didn’t want to pay him big money as a free agent after that season and instead acquired Carter, whose game has been going downhill rapidly. And also getting Richardson, the Suns’ leading scorer, in the deal makes the Magic an incredibly better offensive team. If you add in Arenas, suddenly Orlando is an offensive juggernaut. Now, the problem will come on defense, which has been a big reason Orlando has lost five of six entering Saturday. Howard ripped his teammates – basically singling out Carter and Lewis without actually saying so – for being lax defensively. Howard can opt out of his contract in two years so Orlando wants to make him as happy as possible.
Pietrus was a good defender, while Gortat was nice insurance for Howard but certainly a piece the Magic could afford to lose. These deals are really all about money, as Orlando (which is in a new arena this year) is deep into the NBA’s luxury tax now. The Suns shed their long-term commitment to Turkoglu and the Wizards do the same with Arenas, whose deal is about what Lewis makes per year but a year longer (and the final year of Lewis’ isn’t fully guaranteed). Certainly Phoenix is now saying that it is in full rebuilding mode – could that mean a trade of Steve Nash might happen? But the Suns will have some financial flexibility this summer. Washington, meanwhile, couldn’t wait to deal Arenas, who still has about $60 million owed to him. But he has played well this season.

In a potential preview of the Western Conference Finals, NBA betting fans will get a look at the Dallas Mavericks and Oklahoma City Thunder on Monday night.
Dallas (23-5, 16-10-2 ATS) is riding a four-game winning streak. The Mavericks have covered their last three, including a 105-99 victory over Orlando last Tuesday. Six different Mavs scored in double figures, with Caron Butler leading the way with 20 points.
The Thunder (21-10, 16-15 ATS) have won just twice in their past four games, including a 2-2 record against the spread. They beat Denver on Saturday. Kevin Durant scored 44 points and grabbed seven rebounds in the 114-106 victory.
The Mavs have largely controlled the series since the Thunder moved from Seattle, winning five of the past eight games. Oklahoma City has dominated against the spread, though, covering six of the past eight. When the teams hooked up last season they split their four games, but OKC was 3-1 ATS.
Dallas and Oklahoma already clashed in November, as the Mavericks won 111-103 on the Thunder’s home court. The game was close most of the way through, but Dallas blew the door open with a 12-0 run in the fourth quarter, including 10 points in a one-minute span — seven of them from Dirk Nowitzki.
Nowitzki killed Oklahoma City in that matchup, racking up 34 points, four rebounds and four assists. He wasn’t the only Maverick pulling his weight, though, as center Tyson Chandler finished with 17 points and 18 rebounds. Durant responded with 32 points and 11 rebounds, but he was ineffective when it mattered most.
Rebounding was a major factor in that Dallas win. The Mavericks finished with 49 boards, while OKC came up with just 36.

The Los Angeles Lakers and San Antonio Spurs are two perennial Western Conference contenders, but the Lakers are struggling in NBA betting circles right now. They’ll have a tough battle in San Antonio on Tuesday night.
Los Angeles (21-9, 14-16 ATS) has lost back-to-back games, both straight up and against the spread. The club was embarrassed on Christmas Day, losing 96-80 to LeBron James and the Miami Heat.
The offense has been non-existent over the past two games, scoring just 79 and 80 points, respectively. Kobe Bryant is not pleased, and he let the team know about it in his post-game comments. Bryant warned that his teammates better not be taking things easy after winning back-to-back titles. It’s especially concerning with the club dropping to 2-4 against teams with winning records.
It’s difficult to single out anyone as far as the offensive shortage is concerned. Ron Artest picked up some quick fouls and was removed early against Miami; he finished with eight points. Pau Gasol missed his first seven shots of the game, though he still managed 17 points.
San Antonio (26-4, 17-12-1 ATS) had its 10-game winning streak snapped last Thursday with a 123-101 loss in Orlando, but the Spurs bounced back to win and cover against Washington on Boxing Day, winning 94-80. The victory ended a four-game slide against the spread.
The Spurs held Washington to just 37.5 percent shooting. Tony Parker led the way offensively with 20 points and 14 assists, while Manu Ginobili scored a team-high 21 points.
Los Angeles has won six of its past 10 games against San Antonio, including a 7-3 run against the spread. They’ve yet to meet this season, though the Spurs won and covered the last time they hooked up. The total has gone under in four straight meetings.

Mike D’Antoni has plenty of added incentive to get his players ready for Monday’s afternoon game, as the New York Knicks host the coach’s former team, the Phoenix Suns.
New York (22-17, 25-13-1 ATS), though, is struggling. The Knicks just wrapped up a four-game West Coast swing in which they went 1-3. New York split the games 2-2 against the spread. The Knicks lost 93-83 to Sacramento on Friday, their second straight defeat.
Raymond Felton’s inconsistency continues to hurt the Knicks. The point guard, who emerged as a legitimate starter and possibly even All-Star candidate this season, looks completely worn down. He was miserable against the Kings, scoring just six points on 2-15 shooting. Poor shooting nights have been cropping up with increasingly regularity for Felton, but New York needs his best effort nightly to have a shot to win.
Amare Stoudemire is still rolling, however. Stoudemire — the only Knick to score in double-figures on Friday — racked up 25 points and 13 boards against Sacramento. His numbers are down from a torrid December, but it’s hard to complain about his play over the last seven games (24.3 points, 8.6 rebounds per game).
Phoenix (17-21, 15-22-1 ATS) has finally gained a hair of momentum. The Suns are 3-1 in their last four outings. They’ve ripped off two straight wins after topping Portland 115-111 on Friday, which was their second straight cover against the spread.
The Suns blew up their roster a few weeks ago with some trades, but the deal has been a mixed bag so far. Vince Carter has been solid, averaging 17.8 points in 10 games with Phoenix, including 17 against Sacramento. But Mickael Pietrus has been a major disappointment lately. He’s played 15 minutes or less in five of his last six games, including just over seven minutes against the Kings.
Phoenix is 6-4 in its last 10 games against the Knicks, though New York has been much more impressive against the spread (7-3 ATS in those games). They played in Phoenix on Jan. 7, with the Knicks cruising to a 121-96 victory.

Damn is karma doing a number on LeBron James and the Miami Heat.
Since ‘Bron ‘Bron dropped the “K word” on the Cavaliers nation the team has lost four straight — including an over time loss to Atlanta Tuesday night. James also has an injured ankle, and Chris Bosh and Dwyane Wade have caught the injury bug as well.
The Heat may shrug it off as nothing, but in the betting realm one can’t help but take this as a sign that a cloud of bad luck is hanging over the Heat. Bettors might want to steer clear until they get their mojo back.
"This was a tough one," Heat coach Erik Spoelstra said after the 93-89 overtime loss to Atlanta. "No other way to say it. … It was tough to get a real handle and grip on both sides of the floor."
The Heat had James and Wade in the contest but are still missing Bosh due to injury. As a wager, the Heat are 0-3-1 ATS in their last four games. Things get better, as they head to Toronto next before another tough game against New York. On Jan. 31 they play Cleveland again, but luckily, this game will be at home.
"Out of rhythm," said James, who hadn't played in about a week with his sprained left ankle. "My teammates did a good job keeping the game close."

By now you probably know what New Jersey Nets owner and Russian billionaire Mikhail Prokhorov said on Wednesday night after arriving in the United States. It was thought Prokhorov was coming to meet with Denver star Carmelo Anthony in the hopes of finalizing Anthony’s long-rumored trade to New Jersey. Instead, Prokhorov surprised the media by saying this:
"I'm not happy with the way … this deal has gone until now," Prokhorov said. "It has taken too long. It has been played out in public and it certainly has taken a toll on the players and I believe that it has cost us several games. I think management did a great job, but there comes a time when the price is simply too expensive. I'm instructing our team to walk away from the deal."
So that’s it, at least in terms of New Jersey. Probably. Or is Prokhorov putting pressure on the Nuggets to lower their price? By the way, free of all the Anthony talk, the Nets ended a six-game skid on Wednesday night in upsetting Utah.
Now all the rumors are that Anthony will land with the Knicks, which is where he wanted to be all along. But New York simply doesn’t have enough that Denver wants unless other teams get involved. A trio of Carmelo, Amare Stoudemire and Raymond Felton would make the Knicks formidable, to be sure — although still not very good defensively.
Anthony’s agents have tried to get the Chicago Bulls involved again, but Chicago simply won’t give up Joakim Noah and Denver won’t take Luol Deng. So there’s probably nothing there. A few teams, notably Houston and especially Dallas, have said they would be willing to trade for Anthony even without a guarantee of him signing a long-term deal. Don’t be shocked if Anthony goes to Dallas, as Mark Cuban isn’t afraid of trying anything and needs someone to replace the out-for-the-season Caron Butler. Dallas would probably offer 22-year-old prospect Rodrigue Beaubois and a pair of expiring contracts in Butler and DeShawn Stevenson as well as some draft picks, and Cuban wouldn’t blink at taking back Al Harrington’s bloated deal from Denver.

Good news for the Chicago Bulls as star power forward Carlos Boozer participated in the team’s brief practice Friday and is likely to play Saturday night against the Cleveland Cavaliers after missing the last three games with a sprained left ankle. Bet on the game with Bodog’s NBA odds. Boozer sprained the ankle at the end of last Saturday's game against the Miami Heat.
“I think there's a good chance I'll play (Saturday),” Boozer said. “My ankle feels pretty good."
As long as he doesn’t experience a setback during the shootaround on Saturday, Boozer will be in the starting lineup. The Bulls went 2-1 during Boozer's absence, but the offense has been struggling in scoring just 82 points in each of the last two games. Boozer is averaging 20 points and 10 rebounds a game this season, both second on the Bulls.
The Cavs shouldn’t be any trouble for the Bulls as Cleveland entered Friday’s home game with Milwaukee on a 14-game losing streak and an NBA-worst 8-33 record.
Meanwhile, the Heat are not expected to get their power forward back for Saturday’s game. Chris Bosh sprained his ankle in that game with the Bulls last weekend and sat out Tuesday’s home loss to Miami, the Heat’s season-high fourth straight defeat. Bosh has not played or practiced since and is considered doubtful for Saturday’s game against the Toronto Raptors. Saturday would have been the second time Bosh faced his former club. He scored 12 points against Toronto in November in a Heat win.
This season the Heat have been outscored by 34 points this season when Miami has LeBron James and Dwyane Wade on the floor without Bosh. The Heat score 107.2 points per 48 minutes with the Big 3 on the court together but just 93.2 points once Bosh leaves.

How bad are the LeBron-less Cleveland Cavaliers right now? After losing on a last-second shot on Monday night in New Jersey, the Cavs have now lost 17 consecutive games and are 1-27 in their past 28 overall. The chances they win tonight in Boston seem remote, as the Celtics opened as huge favorites on Bodog’s NBA odds.
The good news for the Cavs (8-36) is that thanks to at least a decent start to the season, they aren’t going to finish with the worst record in NBA history, which was 9-73 by the 1972-73 Philadelphia 76ers. But it seems a lock that the Cavs set the franchise record for losses, which is currently at 67. The Cavaliers have lost 21 straight road games, matching the team record set from Jan. 13 to April 14, 2003. Their last road win came in New Jersey on Nov. 9. The Cavaliers already own the NBA record for consecutive losses at 24, a streak that spanned from March 19, 1982, into the next season.
Boston has been off since losing 85-83 at Washington on Saturday. Shaquille O’Neal missed that game with a minor hip injury and sat out practice Monday. He’s likely to miss at least the next two games. The team is hoping he can play in Sunday’s big game with the L.A. Lakers. O'Neal, who played for Cleveland last season, was averaging 15.7 points on 71.4 percent shooting and 6.3 rebounds in his previous three games. Jermaine O’Neal (knee) remains out and Kendrick Perkins (knee surgery), who participated fully in yesterday’s light practice, is not ready to return. Thus rookie Semih Erden is expected to remain the starting center in the absence of Shaq.
The Celtics sometimes play down to their competition. Boston owes four of its 10 losses to four of the five worst teams in the Eastern Conference (Cleveland, Toronto, Washington and Detroit). That loss to the Cavs came in Cleveland’s season opener but then Boston crushed Cleveland on Nov. 30.

The Utah Jazz haven’t been playing their best basketball lately. That makes Wednesday’s NBA betting matchup especially daunting, as they host the impressive San Antonio Spurs.
At least San Antonio (38-7, 26-17-2 ATS) has been a little rough against the spread lately, going 1-2-1 ATS in its past four games. The Spurs remain great in the regular win column, though, going 9-1 in their past 10 games — including a 113-102 win and cover at Golden State on Monday.
Monday’s win wasn’t without some drama. Tim Duncan went down with a knee injury in the first half, and it looked rather serious at the time. Duncan returned in the second half, though, and finished with 16 points and seven rebounds. Considering San Antonio’s success this season has been largely based on staying healthy, the entire team is breathing a sigh of relief.
Duncan was one of six different Spurs to score in double figures. Manu Ginobili led the way with a team-high 20 points while George Hill, Antonio McDyess and Gary Neal came off the bench to hit double figures. McDyess was especially impressive, finishing with 14 points and 10 rebounds.
The Spurs have scored at least 100 points in their past five victories. Monday’s win over the Warriors was the first time in 10 games they allowed an opponent to top the century mark.
This head-to-head series is as close as it gets. The Spurs and Jazz have split their past 10 games against each other, both straight up and against the spread. San Antonio won 94-82 earlier this season, ending a four-game losing streak against the spread.

The Chicago Bulls are very motivated to beat the Orlando Magic tonight after getting embarrassed by the Magic earlier this season, and it appears Chicago will have star point guard Derrick Rose for the game. Bet on this matchup on Bodog’s NBA odds.
Rose, likely the NBA MVP favorite right now, missed practice on Wednesday and Thursday with what was diagnosed with two stomach ulcers. But Rose did participate in Friday's morning shootaround and says he should be able to go. Officially Rose is a game-time decision.
“It still hurts, but this is a game that I love, so I should be able to play,” he said. “I've been eating portions of things, but I haven't had a whole meal in three or four days. … I will have to see when I get down [to the United Center]. More than likely I am [playing].”
Rose was named an All-Star starter Thursday night. He's averaging 24.6 points, 8.1 assists and 4.6 rebounds per game. Rose had one of his worst games of the season when the Bulls hosted the Magic back on Dec. 1, being held to just 15 points and four assists in Orlando’s 107-78 victory (Chicago’s most lopsided defeat of the year). That game also happened to be the season debut of Bulls forward Carlos Boozer from a broken hand, and Boozer was mostly a non-factor.
Of course the Magic have had an overhaul since that game, adding Gilbert Arenas, Jason Richardson and Hedo Turkoglu. Orlando enters having won four of its past five games. It has won three straight overall against the Bulls, by an average of 26.0 points.

The San Antonio Spurs are dominating on NBA betting odds right now. They’ll get a chance to keep their winning streak alive when they face the Portland Trail Blazers on Tuesday.
The Spurs (40-7, 28-17-2 ATS) have won three straight games, including a 108-95 decision over the Houston Rockets on Saturday. The news gets even better, though. San Antonio has been very kind to bettors, winning three consecutive games against the spread. In fact, the Spurs are 7-2-1 ATS in their last two games.
San Antonio has been pumping out points lately. The club has scored at least 100 points in seven of its last eight games. During the three-game winning streak, the Spurs are averaging 111 points per outing.
All five starters scored in double figures against Houston, while George Hill came off the bench with 14 points. Manu Ginobili stepped up with 22 points, but it was DaJuan Blair who was especially crucial. The third-year center, averaging 7.7 points and 6.9 rebounds per game, burned the Rockets for 14 points and 12 rebounds.
Portland (25-22, 22-22-3 ATS) has lost back-to-back games, erasing the momentum from a recent five-game winning streak. Portland failed to cover either of the losses and is just 3-6-1 in its past 10 games against the spread.
Unlike San Antonio, Portland has looked completely lost on offense. The Trail Blazers have managed just 81 and 78 points in its past two losses. LaMarcus Aldridge has carried the offense all year but, over the past two games, he totaled just 25 points (he averages 21.0 per game). Aldridge made just 12 of his 34 field goal attempts in those games.
Portland leads the head-to-head series 6-4 over the past 10 games. The Blazers have been even better against the spread, going 7-3 in those meetings. They’ve met just once this season, with San Antonio winning and covering 95-78. That ended Portland’s five-game winning streak against the spread.

How good of a player is LeBron James? Really the answer to that question can be found in what is happening with his former Cleveland Cavalier team. LeBron got to face his former mates again on Sunday and it was predictably a Miami rout, 117-90. James finished with 24 points and eight assists and the Miami Heat beat the Cavaliers for the third time since the two-time MVP changed cities.
That was loss No. 21 in a row for the Cavs; 21 losses is as many as they had with LeBron all of last season. Cleveland (8-40) is now two losses shy of tying the single-season NBA futility streak record shared by the 1995-96 Vancouver Grizzlies and 1997-98 Denver Nuggets. Fourteen of the Cavaliers' losses during the streak have been by double figures. The Cavaliers are the first team in NBA history to be the first to reach 40 losses in one season after being the first to record 40 wins in the previous season.
Cleveland's franchise already owns the all-time NBA losing-streak record, a 24-game slide that spanned from March to November 1982. Overall, the Cavaliers have lost 31 of 32 games, along with 24 straight on the road. The Cavs finished January 0-16, becoming just the third team in the last 20 seasons to finish a month winless when playing at least 15 games.
So when will this end? Well, there might be a light at the end of the tunnel as soon as Wednesday when Cleveland hosts a bad Indiana team, although the Pacers already have beaten Cleveland three times this season. Then comes a game at Memphis for the Cavs, followed by a home game vs. Portland, a trip to Dallas and then a season-high eight-game homestand that is highlighted (lowlighted?) by a trip from the Washington Wizards, who just so happen to be winless on the road this season. That Feb. 13 game, if both teams are still on their current losing streaks, will be must-see TV.
