Where did you get this information? I wanted to know more about this gambling thing in the NBA and how referees make their moves...

By the way... about Crawford... (the referee that ejected Tim Duncan)... do you have some news about him? thanks! 😉

He definitely deserves jailtime for this crime. he made a big mistake doing this.

Kobe Bryant got his fourth title, coach Phil Jackson has his 10th, and just like that the Los Angeles Lakers earned their 15th national championship victory. Bryant scored 30 points and Pau Gasol added 14 and 15 rebounds on the night.

Coach Jackson now holds the record as the winningest coach in NBA finals history, a record that until tonight was held by Boston coach Red Auerbach as the winningest coach in finals history.

Disgraced NBA referee Tim Donaghy headed for a Florida halfway house Wednesday after being freed from federal prison. Donaghy, who was convicted in a mob-linked gambling scheme, was released just after midnight from a prison camp in Pensacola, where he was serving a 15-month sentence.

(The ex-ref was expected later in Tampa, where he will live at a halfway house until his sentence is fulfilled Oct. 24).

Lol... it's not a surprise to see a proffessional sports referee was involved in some sort of gambling scam.. it's probably not the first time that has happened.

Some of the biggest stocks in the US casino industry took a hit on Tuesday after the news regarding former NBA players Charles Barkley and Antoine Walker. The two players have run up gambling debt and been sued by several casinos.

Now that the two players are no longer free to gamble in the Vegas casinos, investors pulled back. Stocks dropped by as much as forty-two percent. Las Vegas Sands stock, who has already been among the hardest hit by the economy, dropped twelve percent. They issued this statement on Thursday.

Michael Jordan’s speech at the Basketball Hall of Fame last September 11, 2009 was met with admiration and appreciation combined with head-scratching, nervous laughter and an overall sense of unease. Saying that it was not the speech expected from the man who is hailed to be basketball’s greatest is an understatement. Hall of Fame speeches were supposed to be light, uplifting, inspiring, and, well, grateful. However, the basketball icon’s speech became a bitter recounting of the times he was pushed aside for someone else...............

Former major league pitcher Shawn Chacon was arrested in Greeley on a charge related to unpaid gambling markers in Nevada.

Weld County sheriff's officials say they released him Tuesday, one day after his arrest, after learning Las Vegas authorities decided not to extradite him.

The Las Vegas Sun reported Friday that Chacon faces a felony charge in connection with three bad checks written for $50,000 to Caesars Palace in March.

Chacon, who attended high school in Greeley, played for the Colorado Rockies, New York Yankees and Pittsburgh Pirates.

Last year, the Houston Astros released Chacon after a confrontation with general manager Ed Wade.

In 2009, Chacon played for Oakland's Triple-A team in Sacramento.

The Golden State Warriors suspend Stephen Jackson for two games after the bout with the Lakers. According to them, the suspension was for the unaaceptable conduct he displayed. In less than ten minutes of play against the Lakers, Jackson already got a technical and five fouls. The 11-year NBA veteran was obviously upset on the bench, entered the locker room and hasn’t appeared since...........
