The Los Angeles Clippers had been a basketcase franchise for most of the past decade, but they've been a surprisingly-feisty opponent for the Boston Celtics in recent years. They'll meet again on Monday night. Get your NBA odds for the match at Bovada.
20% Sports Welcome Bonus: Sign up now at Bovada and deposit for your 20% Free Bet Bonus.
The Celtics and Clippers have split their 10 most recent meetings 5-5, and backers of Los Angeles were paid handsomely in that stretch – the Clippers have covered the posted spread on the Bovada's NBA betting line in eight of their past 10 games against Boston.
And that includes a current run of six straight covers against the Celtics, with the teams most recently meeting last March in a 108-103 road win for Los Angeles in Boston; the Clippers had been listed as big 9-point underdogs in that OVER result.
Los Angeles didn't even need a big contribution from Blake Griffin to earn that victory, as he was held to just 12 points and seven rebounds in the contest. Mo Williams scored a team-high 28 points for the Clippers that night, with DeAndre Jordan adding 21 points.
Ray Allen tossed in 23 points for the Celtics in that defeat last March, while since-departed Nenad Krstic had 20 points, and Paul Pierce contributed 19 points. Rajon Rondo scored 13 points and picked up nine assists for Boston that night.
That contest was the second straight OVER result between the Celtics and Clippers, although the UNDER had paid out in their previous five meetings. Overall the OVER/UNDER is at 3-7 in the past 10 games between the teams.
Boston will be looking to pick up the pace this week despite being on an extended road trip; they're still in the thick of the race to win the weakened Atlantic Division. The Clippers are finding it difficult to shake the experienced Lakers in the Pacific Division standings.

Linsanity hadn't taken effect the last time the Chicago Bulls took on the New York Knicks, but Derrick Rose and company will have to contend with Jeremy Lin when those teams meet again on Monday night. Get your NBA odds for the match up at Bovada.

Chicago held on for a 105-102 win on the road against the Knicks when those teams first met this year back on February 2, although they annoyed their supporters by failing to cover the posted 3.5-point spread in the three-point victory.
Rose dominated New York in that contest, pouring in 32 points and adding 13 assists for good measure in the victory. Kyle Korver and Carlos Boozer picked up 16 points apiece for Chicago in that win, with Joakim Noah adding 10 points and nine rebounds.
Lin sat on the bench for the Knicks in that defeat, with Amare Stoudemire scoring a game-high 34 points and grabbing 11 rebounds for the team on the night. Carmelo Anthony tossed in 26 points that day, and Landry Fields chipped in with 17 points.
The combined 207 points in that February win for the Bulls made the game an easy OVER result for totals bettors, but the OVER has been the winning wager in just four of the last 10 matchups between the Bulls and the Knicks.
As well, Chicago is 6-4 straight up over its past 10 games against New York dating back to early 2009, but they only managed to cover the spread on the NBA odds at Bovada in four of those 10 contests.
The Knicks have started to fade in the Eastern Conference standings since going on a bit of a run in the middle of February, and they remain in real danger of missing the playoffs. The Bulls continue to jockey with the Heat for first place in the East.

After Selection Sunday the NCAA bracket has been decided, and March Madness odds have Kentucky, Michigan State, North Carolina and Syracuse as the favorites.
Despite losing to Vanderbilt in the SEC Championship game the Kentucky Wildcats come it at No. 1 in the Midwest and overall in the tournament. Syracuse leads the East, North Carolina the South and Michigan State the West. Out of the top four squads only Michigan State won their conference tournament. What does that tell bettors? It tells them it very well could be a year of more upsets against the spread than usual.

Despite having plenty of games the last few years that caused announcer Gus Johnson to lose his voice, the NCAA tournament has been a fairly balanced affair when it comes to betting. Brackets, of course, are another beast altogether.
However this year the top teams seemingly have more holes than ever, we suggest doing your homework before placing your bets. Talent won't dominate the tournament, it's how well one team matches up with the other. A top team full of guards may struggle to cover versus a low-tier squad with size. There are no Carmelo Anthonys to bank on this year.
One team bettors should definitely not count out is Michigan State. Therer are no locks in the betting world but the Spartans have been as good as it gets in the tournament. Michigan State will begin its quest for its seventh Final Four since 1999 against No. 16 LIU. The Spartans have won three in a row heading into the tournament, and two of those wins have come against top 15 teams. As usual Tom Izzo's team is ready to make noise in March
Be sure to check the entire NCAA Bracket by entering the NCAA Bracket Buster contest in the Bovada Sportsbook! Get in on the $50,000 prize pool and feed your need to brag about your bracket smarts. If the New York Knicks are going to make the Eastern Conference playoffs this season, it will be under an interim head coach. That’s because in a stunner, Mike D’Antoni has re-signed as New York’s head coach effective immediately. Assistant Mike Woodson, the former Hawks head coach, takes over the team and likely will finish out the season with the Knicks.

D’Antoni was getting the Knicks ready for Wednesday night’s home game with Portland (Knicks are -5 at Bovada), but he quit after this morning’s shootaround. His agent said that the parting was "a mutual decision" because D'Antoni and the franchise have "conflicting views of the Knicks' future." D’Antoni’s contract was up after this season and the Knicks showed no signs of extending it.

Reigning NBA MVP Derrick Rose will miss a fourth straight game on Monday night when the Chicago Bulls visit the Orlando Magic in a potential playoff preview. Orlando is a 1.5-point favorite on Bovada’s NBA basketball odds and there is live betting available.

Rose suffered a strained groin on March 12 when the Knicks’ Jeremy Lin blocked his shot. Rose still isn’t even able to run so it’s likely he’s out at least a few more games. Monday will mark the 14th game Rose will miss this season. He missed six games total in his first three seasons. Chicago is 9-4 without him this year. C.J. Watson, who led the team with 20 points in Saturday’s come-from-behind win over the 76ers, will start again. Shooting guard Richard Hamilton also remains out due to injury for Chicago.
The Magic enter off a 91-81 loss in Miami on Sunday. Orlando scored 12 points in a span of nearly 16 minutes in the second half, finishing with its lowest point total in 11 games.
This is the final regular-season matchup between these teams, with the season series at 1-1. Back on March 8, the Magic went into Chicago and won 99-94 behind 29 points and 18 rebounds from Dwight Howard, which at the time ended the Bulls’ eight-game winning streak. Rose had 17 points and nine assists, but shot just 6 for 22 from the field. Chicago did win in Orlando on Jan. 6, 97-83. Howard is averaging 29.3 points and 14.5 rebounds in his last four games against Chicago and has 10 double-doubles in 12 career home contests versus the Bulls, who have won three straight meetings in Orlando.
Chicago is 7-1 ATS in its past eight games vs. teams with a winning record. The Magic have covered four home games in a row. The underdog is 6-0 ATS in the past six meetings in this series.

Having kept all their stars at the trade deadline, the Boston Celtics will be looking to start the week with a win on Monday as they head to Atlanta for a game against the Hawks. This will mark their first meeting of the season. They played last April, with the Hawks winning 88-83 at home as a 1-point underdog on the NBA betting lines.

Trade rumours buzzed around most of the Celtics' top-tier talent prior to the league's trade deadline last Thursday, but in the end management decided to keep the roster intact – likely in large part due to the team's improved play over the past couple of weeks.
Boston doesn't have much of a shot at catching the Chicago Bulls or the Miami Heat for the top seeds in the Eastern Conference standings, but there's still plenty of time left in the season for them to assert themselves in the Atlantic and claim that division title.
And on the updated NBA futures list released by Bovada after the league's trade deadline, the Celtics were firmly in the second tier of contenders at 30/1 odds to win the NBA championship this season, and at 18/1 odds to come out on top in the East.
The Hawks don't have the same opportunity to win a division title this season – not with the Heat and the Orlando Magic in the Southeast with them – and with less public support they were sitting at 60/1 to win the NBA title and 28/1 to win the Eastern Conference.
Wagering on the Celtics or the Hawks during their matchups in recent seasons has been a bit of a coin toss, as they've split their last 10 meetings 5-5 with Atlanta holding the slight ATS edge at 6-4. The OVER/UNDER went 5-5 for totals bettors in those 10 contests.

The San Antonio Spurs look to continue their dominance at home and hold on to the Western Conference’s second seed in Wednesday night’s NBA betting action, when they host the Minnesota Timberwolves who are fighting to get into the playoff picture at the bottom of the wide-open conference.
Bet on the Madness. Join Bovada NOW for an instant 20% Free Bet Bonus up to $100.
After getting off to a lacklustre 12-9 straight up start to the season, the San Antonio Spurs have gone on a 17-5 run over their last 22 games to re-establish themselves as one of the conference’s elite teams. Even without dynamic scorer Manu Ginobli, the Spurs rank fourth in the NBA in total offense with 100.8 points per game, led by Tony Parker’s 20 points per game. Overall, San Antonio is 29-14 straight up and 25-17-1 against the spread.
Despite losing their star point guard Ricky Rubio (who was averaging over eight assists per game), the Minnesota Timberwolves are still fighting for a playoff spot at the bottom of the conference. Minnesota has the fifth-highest scoring offense in the game averaging 98.2 points per game, led by star forward Kevin Love who is averaging 25.9 points and 13.7 rebounds per game. Minnesota is 23-24 straight up and 26-21 against the spread.
Minnesota is 2-0 both straight up and ATS in two games against San Antonio this season, but both of those games were in Minnesota. The Spurs are much better at home than they are on the road, boasting a 17-4 straight up and 14-7 ATS record at home. That said, Minnesota has been a pretty live dog this season on the road, going 15-8 ATS on the road with 11 straight up road wins.

The Philadelphia 76ers and New York Knicks have both cooled off from major runs earlier this year, but they’re still sitting in playoff positions in the Eastern Conference with the 76ers currently leading the Atlantic Division. Both teams will be looking for a big win in NBA betting action when they meet in Philadelphia on Wednesday night.
Bet on the Madness. Join Bovada NOW for an instant 20% Free Bet Bonus up to $100.
With a 26-20 straight up record and a 25-21 record against the NBA basketball odds heading into Tuesday’s action, the 76ers have been one of the league’s biggest surprises this season. While Lou Williams is having a solid season as the team’s leading scorer with 15.8 points per game, the 76ers have been winning in large part due to their defense – which ranks as the NBA’s best allowing just 87.7 points per game.
The New York Knicks have been an up-and-down team all season, and carried a three-game winning streak into Monday night’s action after losing their previous six games. New York has covered the spread in four straight games after failing to do so in five straight, too. Which version of the Knicks will we see in Philadelphia on Wednesday night? Overall, New York is 21-24 both straight up and against the spread.
Both teams have leaned heavily towards the UNDER this season as Philadelphia is 28-18 on the UNDER and New York is 27-18 on the UNDER. These two teams have met twice this season, both times in New York, with the series being split at one game apiece.
Home-court advantage may play into this contest as Philadelphia is 16-9 straight up and 15-10 ATS at home this season, while New York is 8-14 straight up and 9-13 ATS on the road.

The Milwaukee Bucks will be trying to put an end to a three-game skid both SU and ATS versus the Atlanta Hawks on Tuesday night when those clubs hit the hardwood in an 8:00pm ET tipoff in Wisconsin.

Overall the Hawks are 6-4 both SU and ATS in their last 10 games against the Bucks, and they've managed to win and cover the posted spread on the NBA lines at Bovada in both meetings between the teams so far this season.
The teams last met on March 2 in Atlanta, with the Hawks picking up a 99-94 win as a four-point favorite in an OVER result for totals bettors. Each of the last four games between the teams have been OVER results.
Josh Smith had a big game for Atlanta in that win earlier this month, pouring in 24 points and grabbing 19 rebounds in the contest. Jeff Teague and Jannero Pargo each tossed in 11 points for the Hawks in that victory; Pargo has been out of action since undergoing an appendectomy on March 18.
Brandon Jennings scored a game-high 34 points in that losing cause for the Bucks, with Drew Gooden collecting 26 points and 10 boards on the night.
The Hawks are sitting in third place behind the Heat and Magic in the Southeast Division standings, and they're currently back at 50/1 NBA futures at Bovada to win the NBA championship this season.
The Bucks are at 100/1 on that list as they try to push into the Top-8 of the Eastern Conference standings and get themselves into a playoff berth.

The Miami Heat will get a second chance to beat the Dallas Mavericks and pay off for their supporters on the NBA betting lines when those teams hit the hardwood in South Florida on Thursday night this week.
Join Bovada NOW for an instant 20% Free Bet Bonus up to $100.
The Heat fell to the Mavericks in the NBA Finals last season, but they got a little bit of revenge in their season opener on Christmas Day when they rolled to a 105-94 victory in Dallas as a 4.5-point road favorite at Bovada.
That put an end to Miami's three-game losing streak against Dallas and they covered the spread for the first time against the Mavericks in four meetings. Overall the Heat are 3-7 SU and 4-5-1 ATS in their last 10 games against Dirk Nowitzki and company.
LeBron James poured in 37 points and grabbed 10 rebounds for the Heat in their opener against the Mavericks, with Dwyane Wade good for 26 points and six assists in that contest. Chris Bosh was held to just four points but collected seven rebounds.
Nowitzki tossed in 21 points in that losing cause for Dallas, with Jason Terry good for 23 points off the bench on the day. Shawn Marion added 12 points for the Mavericks.
That holiday matchup turned into the third straight OVER result between the teams.
On the NBA futures this week the Heat are still the favorites to win this year's championship despite their loss in the Finals last season; they were listed at 7/4 on those odds at Bovada at last update. Miami is also pegged at 10/13 to win the East.
The Mavericks find themselves farther back at 22/1 odds to repeat as the NBA champions this spring, and at 10/1 odds to win the Western Conference once again.

The New York Knicks are back to beating NBA odds and winning games again, and this time Jeremy Lin doesn't need to drop 20-plus to make it happen.
Last night the Knicks beat the Orlando Magic 108-86 as +1.5 home underdogs, and didn't even have Lin or Amar'e Stoudemire to make it happen. It was just Camelo Anthony and Iman Shupert, who combined for 50 points. With the win and cover the Knicks have covered nine of their last 10 games against the spread, and appear to once again be a solid wager for NBA bettors. The question is why?

From our perspective it's all about defense.
The Knicks have allowed over 100 points only once in their last 10 games, and that happened versus the Chicago Bulls on March 12. Interim coach Mike Woodson has preached defense in this run, and the Knicks appear to be listening.
"I said this at the top, as a coach I’m always interested in when you’re short-handed who’s going to step up and make plays? And we’re getting it from everybody and that to me is a sign of a good, quality team that wants to win,” Woodson said.
Even if Lin and Stoudemire are missing during their next stretch of games expect the Knicks to keep rolling. Anthony seems to be finally finding his game late in the season and the defensive-minded shift in philosphy is bringing results ATS regardless of wins and losses.

Kobe Bryant and company will try to tag the Western Conference leaders with a loss on Thursday night as the Los Angeles Lakers play host to Kevin Durant and the Oklahoma City Thunder at the Staples Center.

The Thunder hold down top spot in the West and at last update at Bovada they were also listed as the 1/1 favorites to win the conference on the NBA futures. As well, Oklahoma City is pegged at 15/4 odds to win the NBA championship this spring.
The Lakers are just back of the Thunder at 11/1 odds to win the title this season, and they're tied with the Spurs in second at 9/2 odds to win the Western Conference.
Los Angeles has already lost once to Oklahoma City this season, falling by a score of 100-85 on the road back on February 23. The Thunder easily covered the 7.5-point spread on the NBA odds at Bovada in that UNDER result for totals bettors.
Durant paced the Thunder's offense in that victory with a team-high 33 points and Russell Westbrook pitched in with 19 points and six assists in the contest. James Harden was good for 16 points off the bench and Serge Ibaka grabbed 13 boards.
Bryant tossed in 24 points in that losing cause for the Lakers back in February, while Pau Gasol picked up 22 points and Andrew Bynum had 14 points and 12 rebounds.

The Chicago Bulls didn't have its MVP Sunday morning, and it showed. As the Oklahoma City Thunder feasted on the undermanned Chicago Bulls, easily covering the -6 NBA odds for the 92-78 win.
With Bulls point guard Derrick Rose sidelined with a groin injury Thunder guard Russell Westbrook continued to embarass opposing teams. He scored 27 points, including a ridiculous dunk over Bulls seven-foot center Omer Asik that brings back visions of Vince Carter flying over France's Federic Weis. Kevin Durant added 26 himself, however, lately he's been playing second fiddle to Westbrook, who has been going "Black Mamba" on squads for the past week.

But who cares who gets the spotlight, the Thunder are rolling right now.
“We just picked up the intensity, I think. Playing hard. I can’t stop saying it,” Durant said. “Every possession, we’ve just been trying to scramble as hard as we can on the defensive end and move the ball on the offensive end. We’ve got to keep it up.”
They've been keeping it up against the spread as well. With Sunday's monster win OKC has covered seven of their last 10 spreads and four in a row. Including a 109-87 rout of Miami.
Though the Bulls didn't have their full squad on Sunday, have the Thunder taken the mantle as the NBA's best? Hard to argue otherwise.
“Their numbers say what they are. There’s not much they don’t have,” Chicago coach Tom Thibodeau said. “They play hard, they play unselfishly, they play smart, they’re tough. Their defense is excellent.”
The Thunder play Memphis next then are at Miami for is sure to be a heated contest.

The Heat are 3-0 both straight up and against the spread against the Sixers this season, and overall they're 9-1 SU and 6-4 ATS over the past 10 meetings between the Eastern Conference teams. The OVER/UNDER went 4-6 for totals bettors in those contests.
Miami won 113-92 at home in the first matchup of the season between the teams on January 21, then won 99-79 in Philadelphia on February 3. In their last meeting on March 16 in Philly the Heat rolled to an 84-78 road win as a 4-point favorite on the NBA odds at Bovada.
The Heat were actually outscored 48-27 in the second half of that March contest, but they still managed to hold on for the victory. James had a team-high 29 points for the Heat that night, with Dwyane Wade picking up 12 points and 11 boards in the contest.
Evan Turner led the way on offense for the Sixers with 13 points and eight boards in that losing cause, with Andre Iguodala picking up just 11 points and 10 rebounds; Iguodala has missed some time lately with a sore knee.
The Heat have been falling off the pace in the Eastern standings, putting them second behind the Chicago Bulls in the race for the top seed in the conference in the playoffs. The Sixers are battling the Boston Celtics for first place in the weakened Atlantic Division.

However, Miami might be without one of its Big 3. Dwyane Wade irritated a knee injury against the Boston Celtics on Sunday in the Heat’s biggest loss of the season and sat out Tuesday’s 99-93 win over the Philadelphia 76ers, Miami’s 16th straight home victory. He will officially be a game-time call tonight. Wade has missed 10 games this season because of foot, ankle and knee injuries and Miami is 9-1 in those.
LeBron James stepped up for Wade on Tuesday with a season-high 41 points, including 14 straight in the fourth quarter. Miami moved within games of Chicago for the lead in the Eastern Conference and officially clinched a playoff spot. The Heat also have a new starting center as Ronny Turiaf has replaced Joel Anthony at that spot as of Tuesday. Turiaf played 23 minutes and had six points, six rebounds and two blocks against Philly.
Oklahoma City had its six-game winning streak snapped on Monday, falling 94-88 at home to Memphis in what could accurately be called a trap game. The Thunder were held to a season-low two points in transition by the plodding, physical Grizzlies. Russell Westbrook had been brilliant of late but struggled against Memphis. After averaging 31.7 points and one turnover in his previous three games, Westbrook went 5 for 16 (19 points) and committed four turnovers.
Miami’s previous worst loss this season before Sunday’s 19-point drubbing in Dallas came on March 25 when the Heat lost 103-87 in OKC. Kevin Durant had 28 points, nine rebounds and tied his season-high with eight assists. He had started his career 0-6 in head-to-head matchups with LeBron’s teams but has now won two straight – including last year’s visit to Miami. James had 17 points and seven assists in that last meeting, but he, Wade and Chris Bosh turned the ball over a combined 15 times.
The Thunder have won four of the last five meetings, after dropping seven of the previous eight. Oklahoma City has won three of its past four visits to south Florida. The Heat are 7-7 on the second nights of back-to-back sets.

A pair of Eastern Conference division leaders will meet in Chicago on Thursday night as the Bulls play host to a Boston Celtics team that has picked up its game in the past two weeks.
Join Bovada NOW for an instant 20% Free Bet Bonus up to $100.
Boston has moved ahead of the Philadelphia 76ers for first place in the Atlantic Division standings, thanks in large part to a dominant record at home. The Celtics, however, enter Thursday's matchup just 11-14 on the road this season.
And the Celtics have also managed to lose four of their past five games against the Eastern-leading Bulls, covering the posted spread on the NBA lines at Bovada in just one of those contests.
The last time the two teams met was on February 16 in Chicago, with the Bulls grabbing an 89-80 win and covering the 7.5-point spread on the night in the process. The combined score was an UNDER result for totals bettors.
Chicago played that game without star guard Derrick Rose, who has been out of action with a groin injury; he is considered questionable to return on Thursday.
Carlos Boozer and Luol Deng each scored 23 points in that win over Boston in Rose's absence, with Boozer adding 15 rebounds on the night. Joakim Noah chipped in with 15 points that game while grabbing 16 boards.
Kevin Garnett led the way for Boston with 18 points in that loss, with Rajon Rondo scoring 17 points and picking up eight assists, and Paul Pierce adding 14 points.
Despite sitting in first place in the East heading into Thursday's schedule the Bulls are just third on the NBA futures at Bovada at 15/4 odds to win the championship. The Celtics are farther back at 22/1 odds to win the title this season.

After destroying the Orlando Magic last week the New York Knicks will get a chance to do that again on Thursday night when the teams hit the NBA betting lines down in Florida.
Join Bovada NOW for an instant 20% Free Bet Bonus up to $100.
The Knicks got 25 points from Carmelo Anthony on March 28 as they rolled to a 108-86 home win over Dwight Howard and company to give their playoff chances in the Eastern Conference a bit of a boost.
Iman Shumpert also scored 25 points that night for the Knicks, who are taking the floor without injured players Amar’e Stoudemire and Jeremy Lin. Steve Novak was good for 16 points off the bench for New York in that contest.
Howard was held to 12 points and five rebounds by the Knicks in that defeat, and he sat out Tuesday's game against the Detroit Pistons with a sore back. That leaves Howard as day-to-day heading into Thursday's home game against New York.
Jameer Nelson scored a team-high 17 points for Orlando in that March 28 contest, but he didn't play against the Pistons on Tuesday either because of a calf injury. Ryan Anderson (sprained ankle) is expected to miss about a week of action.
Despite their win in late March the Knicks are still only 3-7 in their past 10 games against the Magic, going 4-6 against the spread in those 10 contests. The OVER wager has paid out for totals bettors in each of the last nine games between the teams.
On the NBA futures at Bovada heading into the weekend the Knicks are listed at 30/1 to win the championship this season, with the Magic just behind them at 35/1 odds.

Houston got past Los Angeles by a score of 107-104 as a 3-point home underdog on March 20, with the combined output of that contest turning into the sixth straight OVER result between the teams for totals bettors.
Overall, though, the Rockets have managed to pull out the win in just three of their past 10 games against the Lakers, covering the posted spread at Bovada in six of those contests.
Goran Dragic scored 16 points and added 13 assists in that win for the Rockets, with Luis Scola and Courtney Lee each picking up 23 points that night for Houston. Chandler Parsons chipped in with 13 points.
Kobe Bryant paced the Lakers' offense with 29 points in that losing cause, with Pau Gasol adding 21 points on the night and Andrew Bynum good for 16 points and seven rebounds.
On the NBA futures at Bovada the Lakers were listed this week at 14/1 to win the championship this season; that put them fifth on that futures list behind the Heat, Thunder, Bulls and Spurs.
The Rockets, who are trying to hold down one of the bottom playoff berths in the Western Conference right now, are back at 100/1 odds to win the title this year. Both Kevin Martin (shoulder) and Kyle Lowry (illness) have been out of action for Houston.

Los Angeles has managed to pull out the win in each of its last 17 games against the Timberwolves, last losing to them in March 2007 in Minnesota when they were a 1.5-point road favorite on the NBA odds. Overall the Lakers are 19-1 SU and 11-8-1 ATS in their past 10 contests against the T-Wolves dating back to 2006.
Those two Western Conference clubs have already met twice this season, with the Lakers winning 106-101 on the road in January, and then rolling to a 104-85 victory at home in their last matchup on February 29.
Bryant poured in 31 points to go along with eight assists and seven rebounds for the Lakers in that easy win in February, with Andrew Bynum picking up 13 points and 13 boards on the night. Pau Gasol contributed 15 points for Los Angeles that day.
Kevin Love sat out that contest with an illness for Minnesota, leaving Michael Beasley and Martell Webster as the team's high scorers with 14 points apiece. Ricky Rubio had just three points that day for the T-Wolves, and Luke Ridnour was held to eight points.
The Timberwolves were well out of the playoff race in the Western Conference last season, but a modest turnaround this year has them as a contender for a berth in the postseason during the shortened campaign.
The Lakers are still trying to swat away the upstart Clippers in the Pacific Division standings this season and lay claim to at least the No. 3 seed in the Western Conference.
