The UEFA Executive Committee held today its meeting in Nyon, Switzerland, and took a number of decisions concerning UEFA competitions.
031 - Draw procedures for European Qualifiers and UEFA Nations League Finals approved
The UEFA Executive Committee met this morning at the House of European Football in Nyon and decided to introduce Video Assistant Referees (VAR) in the 2019/20 UEFA Champions League, as of the play-off stage of the competition (August 2019). In addition, it was decided that VAR would also be used at the 2019 UEFA Super Cup. UEFA plans to subsequently extend the use of VAR at the final tournament of UEFA EURO 2020, in the 2020/21 UEFA Europa League (group-stage onwards), and in the 2021 UEFA Nations League Finals.
Commenting on the introduction of VAR, UEFA President Aleksander Čeferin said:
"We are confident that introducing Video Assistant Referees in August 2019 will give us enough time to put in place a robust system and to train match officials to ensure an efficient and successful implementation of VAR in the UEFA Champions League, the world’s flagship club competition."
The draw procedure for the European Qualifiers 2020, which will take place at the Convention Centre in Dublin on 2 December 2018 at 11.00 local time, was approved. The ten groups of five or six teams will decide 20 finalists, with the remaining four contenders emerging from the European Qualifiers play-offs, for which teams will qualify via the UEFA Nations League.
The draw procedure for the first four-team UEFA Nations League Finals 2019, to take place on 3 December 2018 in Dublin, was also approved.
The UEFA Executive Committee appointed Gondomar, Portugal as hosts of the finals of the inaugural UEFA Women’s Futsal EURO 2019, which will see the teams of Portugal, Russia, Spain and Ukraine face each other in semi-finals, a third-place match and the final between 14 and 17 February 2019.

Finally, the Football Federation of Kosovo was ratified as a new member of the UEFA Referee Convention.
The meeting of the UEFA Executive Committee will continue this afternoon with the selection of the hosts for UEFA EURO 2024.
The next meeting of the UEFA Executive Committee will take place in Dublin, Republic of Ireland, on 3 December 2018.
UEFA CL: HOFFEINHEIM VS MANCHESTER CITY BETTING TIPS
Week 2 of UEFA Champions League begins and we have a crucial early kick off on Tuesday! Hoffenheim hosts Manchester City in Germany. A game where Manchester City are in huge need of a win after dropping the opening game at home to Lyon. If City lose they could fall 4 points behind 2nd and all of a sudden the pressure would be huge. For Hoffenheim, they cannot afford to lose at home at all in this group, if Lyon continue their form and City go ahead of Hoffenheim all of a sudden they could fall out of contention for R16 really quickly. Hoffenheim drew their opening game in Ukraine against Shakhtar, this is their first ever UCL group stage match at home and their fans will for sure turn up, can the team do the same however? We’ll have to wait and see.
Somethings wrong with Real Madrid offensive scheme. Seems that nothing does worked not just in this game but in the previous one. I would prefer Mariano on the start with or without Benzema but we need something more deep in the attack because if there is no Bale then Real Madrid playing like 10 midfielders on the pitch and everyone is just scared to shot.
Very hard Champions league evening for the predictions. So much intense matches where the game could go both ways. I'm believer and I still considerink to back Monaco +1.5 if the odds will raise much more.
UEFA CL: TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR VS BARCELONA BETTING TIPS
Game of the week! Tottenham Hotspur host Barcelona at Wembley in what is expected to be a very entertaining match. Tottenham are desperate for a win after losing to Inter in such a dramatic fashion in opening week but their recent injury bug really is going to make it tough for them. However, Barcelona have form problems of their own and with being winless in 3, this may be the best time to play them for Tottenham.
One of the top games in matchday 2. It’s Napoli hosting Liverpool! Napoli are going to be in desperation of a win after dropping 2 points against Red Star Belgrade and in a group where you still have Liverpool and PSG that’s a very bad result. In front of their fans, Napoli are hardly beatable but with Liverpool being the attacking juggernaut this is going to be a stern test for the Italian club. This shapes up to be a very entertaining match for sure!
PSG not giving any hope at all for Crvena zvezda. They first 4+ goal lead in the Champions league history. Meanwhile Crvena zvezda before this match were unbeatean in their last 34 games (26 wins, 8 draws). Absolutely stunning from Paris.
Not that surprised that PSG whooped them this badly, Zvezda havent faced this level of competition ever, not even Napoli matched that plus it's away from home.. Neymar was filthy good tonight
Neymar has now scored 30 UCL goals which is tied for all time highest by any Brazilian alongside Kaka
