EFL CUP: LIVERPOOL VS CHELSEA MATCH BETTING TIPS

embeded-image

We have part 1 between Liverpool and Chelsea this week and this is a Carabao Cup match at Anfield! Liverpool have been perfect while Chelsea have been near perfect to start the season. In this match we can expect both sides to use backup players, however this is still anticipated to be a very good match between the two. It for sure is the top match of this round in the Carabao Cup!

Right now I'm going to touch a very interesting subject. ARE THE FA RIGGING THEIR CUP DRAWS (EFL CUP AND FA CUP?)

In the past 3 seasons it seems to me like they've been doing it, just look at this.

In the 2017 FA Cup Quarters we had 5 big teams and we ended up with Boro-City, Arsenal-Lincoln, Spurs-Millwall AND Chelsea-Man Utd which would mean Mourinho would go back to the club that sacked him while the other 3 big boys avoided each other which set up two semi finals between big 6 teams

Now let's look at the 2018 FA Cup. In the quarters there were THREE big 6 teans. Somehow they avoided each other getting lower teams. Chelsea got Leicester, Spurs got Swansea, Man Utd got Brighton and the last tie was Wigan-Southampton because obviously there wasn't another big 6 team. Oh yeah none of the big 6 sides in the previous rounds either.

Now let's look at the past TWO EFL Cup Semi Final draws

2017-18
London Derby (Chelsea-Arsenal)
Man City got to play a lower league Bristol City

2018-19
London Derby (Spurs-Chelsea)
Man City get to play lower league Burton Albion

I know I might be reaching and it might just be a coincidence but these draws are weirdly similar, but it seems to me like the FA are fixing them to get more TV money. Idk it's just my thoughts

Fa cup 3rd round starts today, and the first big boys are in action as Spurs travel to Tranmere

Expect a back up Tottenham side but no doubt they will roll over their opponents and win by 3/4 goals because their form is unbelievable right now especially when they play away from home.

Should still see a relatively strong side from Pochettino as this is a competition that spurs must surely want to have a shot at winning.

Tranmere are an average League Two side (9th place). Not doing anything special, surely will be up for it but they just don’t have the squad to compete here.

I’ll try a Spurs -2 AH

Here's some of my thought for some of the TOP FA Cup games for tomorrow (SAT 5th JAN 19)

Man Utd vs Reading

Man Utd are very overish this season in terms of goals, they score loads and concede tons. 3 clean sheets in 21 PL games, but recently they've hit insane form under OLE winning 4 of 4 scoring 14 goals conceding 3 and dismantling teams by 2+ goals in each game.

Reading meanwhile are in horrible form, no wins in 10 although they do have a good percentage of covered Handicaps away from home in the Championship (61.5%) so they don't really get destroyed but they also rarely win, they don't score many goals they're very under-ish aswell AWAY from home (61.5% unders)

I think this is a clash of a fun attacking elite team and a boring woeful team who can't win but rarely get smashed losing by 1 goal for the most part. However, you gotta remember that Reading play Championship teams and Man Utd are a whole different beast especially with the way they're playing right now you can make a case that they're the hottest team in the Premier League. If Ole puts out a strong side It wouldn't surprise me if United put together a drubbing of Reading winning 3-0/4-0. I'd stay away from goal totals since Reading could very well mess it up, but a United -2.5 AH is definitely worth the try if the put out a STRONG 11 out there. My prediction is 3-0.

Bournemouth vs Brighton

Bournemouth are showing HORRIBLE form with a 2W 1D 9L record in their last 12 games. However you also gotta look at who they've played, United Spurs Chelsea City Liverpool Arsenal. I mean that was a brutal run of games and at Home, Bournemouth have not been too bad even during this stretch. When they play teams outside of the big 6 they actually do pretty well in fact they have a 5W 3D 0L HOME record against non big 6 Premier League teams in the league this season and if u add Cup games against Championship teams that record blossoms to 8W 3D 0L so Bournemouth are very solid at Home against their level/lower level opposition

Brighton have had a good season but for me they're a home reliant team. They are a BAD away side. Since last season they've only won 4 BPL games in 30 AWAY from home, their away record this season is 2W 2D 7L against PL teams which really proves that they are a team that relies massively on home form.

Bournemouth already beat Brighton 2-0 at home this season, also beat them twice last season in the league and in the Cup at home so there's clearly proof that Home advantage is going to be the difference here. I'm picking a Bournemouth win here at 2.10 odds and I might look at backing an over because Bournemouth have one of the best % of covered overs at home at 63.6%, Brighton not so much at 45.5% but given an over-ish opponent i'd give them the benefit of the doubt. Bournemouth to win 2-1 in my Opinion

Chelsea vs Nottingham Forest

Call me crazy or not but I have a very strange feeling about this one. Yes the type of feeling of a CUP UPSET

Yes Chelsea are an elite BPL team and Forest are just a Champioship side, yes Chelsea are at Home but man are Chelsea looking uninspiring right now. Pedro Willian Giroud Hudson-Odoi are all injured, Morata can't score to save his life, Hazard will probably not play and they have Tottenham coming up midweek so I mean i don't know doesn't look like Chelsea will have quite a straight forward game

Nottingham Forest themselves went through a bad run of form not winning in 5 straight, but most recently they beat Leeds 4-2, yes the league leading Leeds in the Championship and I just have a feeling that Forest are on a bit more of a high than Chelsea right now! We've seen Forest elliminate Arsenal last season so why not have a go at it again? Forest are 7th in the Championship, they are clearly no pushover and could be in the Premier League next year potentially and coming up against a Chelsea side who are massively depleted in attack there is always a chance. We've seen Derby come to Stamford Bridge and outplay Chelsea despite losing 3-2 they were very unlucky and Forest are on a similar level to Derby

I still think Chelsea should win, but I just have a feeling that if there is going to be an upset, this could be the one this weekend. Forest +1.5,2.0 Handicap is worth the try. Hell even a +0.5 handicap for those who want to risk with high odds.

Blackpool vs Arsenal

Gunners got drawn to play League One's Blackpool away from home. I think Arsenal should get the job done here comfortably. We already saw these teams meet in the EFL Cup where Arsenal came through with a tough 2-1 win at the Emirates but also we have to remember that Arsenal played with 10 men from the 56 min which enabled Blackpool to get back into it before going down to 10 men themselves. Now the scenery changes as they meet in Blackpool

Blackpool are not on form now however winning just 1 of their last 6 that being against non league side Solihull Moors after ET which isn't a very good sign for them coming up against the Arsenal team who are hungry for trophies and I have no doubt with the EFL Cup and BPL titles out of sight, that Unai Emery will take this cup very seriously in hopes to win a title in his first season.

Arsenal will of course rotate but as we've seen they have been able to put teams like Blackpool away with back up sides already in the EFL Cup and Europa League. We'll probably see some top players play anyway which will only improve the Gunners chances. I don't think Blackpool are just good enough to hang with Arsenal for the 2nd straight time till the end and it will be a lot more of a straight forward win for the Gunners. Arsenal's away games tend to be very high scoring and they are yet to keep an away clean sheet against English opposition this season so I'm thinking BTTS and over 3.5 goals hereand I will wait for the Arsenal -1.5 AH to rise to 1.9+ LIVE because it's only at 1.72 right now. My prediction is 1-3/1-4 win for the Arsenal.

Derby vs Southampton

Final game that I will preview from Saturday's action. This is going to be a good one. Derby vs Southampton.

Derby are currently 6th in the Championship, under Frank Lampard they are chasing promotion and are having a very good season. We've already seen Derby play BPL sides in the EFL Cup where they beat Man Utd on PENS and took Chelsea to a tough game losing just 3-2 where they thoroughly outplayed the Blues. Derby have proven that they can rise to the challenge of big games in the Championship too this season grabbing some really good big game wins already like West Brom, Sheff Utd, Norwich away just to name a few. Derby are also a solid home side as they've lost just 2 of 13 home games this season.

Southampton have looked revitalised under Ralph Hasenhüttl especially in the last 4 games where they picked up 7 pts from 12, despite that they're still in relegation zone but at this form they shouldn't stay there for too long. They recently beat Arsenal 3-2 and drew with Chelsea at Stamford Bridge 0-0 keeping a very impressive clean sheet so yeah you could say Southampton are on a high right now. My worry with them is are they really going to go all out for this Cup given their league status right now as the league is just way more important when you fight for survival. They're playing well but it wouldn't surprise me if they threw this game just to focus on their league form and although same could be said for Derby who are fighting for things, I just think for a Champioship side a game like is always more important because they get to show the Premier League clubs what they're made of.

Odds wise this game is very evenly priced, I think i'll just wait to see the line-ups here and then will follow the game LIVE just to see which teams is more up for it and will back that team. 50/50 for me here so it's best to wait and see what happens LIVE early on in the game to make a bet
