Manchester United have completed the signing of defender Diogo Dalot from Porto.

The 19-year-old, who was understood to have a €20m (£17.4m) release clause in his contract at the Estadio Dragao, underwent a medical with Manchester United on Tuesday.

Dalot has signed a five-year contract, with an option to extend for a further year, and becomes Jose Mourinho's second signing of the summer after Brazilian midfielder Fred joined for a fee in excess of £50m.

A two-week Premier League mid-season player break in February has been approved to start from the 2019-20 season, the FA has announced.

The winter break ensures that Premier League matches will still be played over the period, with five top-flight games to be staged on the first weekend and five on the following weekend.

The FA has agreed to move FA Cup fifth-round matches to midweek in order to accommodate the planned break and, from the start of the 2019-20 season, fifth-round replays will be removed and replaced with extra-time and penalties.

Tottenham are interested in Lyon midfielder Tanguy Ndombele, according to Sky sources.

However, reports in France that Spurs have made contact with the Ligue 1 club are not correct.

Furthermore, Lyon do not want to sell the 21-year-old this summer, having just made permanent a successful season-long loan from Amiens.

Lucas Torreira's transfer to Arsenal appears close to completion after Sampdoria president Massimo Ferrero said the player had "left" the club.

Sky Italy reported last week that the Gunners had offered £26.4m (30m euro) in instalments for the 22-year-old, rather than paying his £22m release clause up-front.

Speaking live on Italian television, Ferrero said: "Torreira left for 30m euro. I bought him from Pescara when no one believed in him. We placed a bet and we won, paying just 3m euro.

Football.London is reporting Kieran Trippier could be the next Tottenham man to sign a new deal, quoting a cryptic comment on an Instagram post from team-mate Kyle Walker-Peters.

In response to a photograph summing up his performance for the Three Lions against Panama, Walker-Peters posted a clapping hands emoji, next to a pencil signing a piece of paper.

Everton Has spent £246 million in past 2 Years!
Richarlison £50m
Sigurdsson £44m
Bolasie £26m
Keane £25m
Pickford £25m
Klaasen £24m
Tosun £20m
Walcott £20m
Schneiderlin £20m
Williams £12m

So much money spent and we haven't really see much change at Everton, if anything they got worse. Poor transfer business or do we just need to give them more time to gel?
