I've collected some academy points on full tilt and i'm wondering if the 100$ bonus ( 20 000 points) is a deposit bonus or a just a 100$ for free. They haven't put any details on the website. Does anybody know?

The UBOC events feature a total of eighteen tournaments over a twelve day period. There will be two tournaments with one million dollar guaranteed prize pools, and a total of $4 million will be awarded during the twelve days of festivities. There’s something for everyone at the UBOC events, with the tournament formats varying from No Limit Hold’em, Pot Limit, Deepstack, Knockout, Omaha and others.

Players that win one of the UBOC tournaments will receive cash money and a luxurious commemorative watch.

But since not all players can afford the buy-ins to the UBOC events, there is a second option opened to all players: the mini-UBOC tournaments will have big guaranteed prize pools for a fraction of the cost. Their buy-ins are capped at $30 dollars and the prize pools go up to $20K. A total of sixteen mini-UBOC tournaments are scheduled and will be played simultaneously with the UBOC events.

Satellites for all events have started, so there are many ways to enter each tourney. There will be a mini-UBOC leaderboard and players who finish in the top positions will receive points. At the end of the festivities the leader will receive a commemorative watch.

For further information please visit the Absolute Poker

Welcome:

These same events are avaliable for members of Ultimate bet also.

Decided to watch the last two tables of a cash out tourney, so I could see what happens when the cash out period is over. When the final table is reached, the system automatically issues the cash out pot based on chip ratio. Quite kool. X

Dealer: don jad cashes out for $287.44
Dealer: No_Mercy_bg cashes out for $245.81

OK... I am HIGHLY intrigued!

I love to play tournaments but sometimes I REALLY have trouble late on because I get so tired... I know, patience and whatnot, but cash games are really more my style because, within reason at least, one can come and go as they please.

Generally speaking, in tournies, I do well for an hour or two but beyond that I just make bad, stupid choices because A: I feel invincible or something stupid like that or B: because I am tired or, worse, bored.

These cashout tournies seem like a great idea for someone like me who can finish deep but often just not deep enough because of foolish play. Part of it is also because finding THAT LONG to sit in one place is hard and then sitting there is even harder.

Yeah, I know, I really need to work on this but in the meantime I find the promise of a tournament with the possibility for instant gratification to be a worthwhile possibility.

I do have a couple of questions: 1. Can you cash out anytime or are there periods? And if you have played some since (if so at what level) have you found the players to be tight or maniacs (it seems like it could go either way especially at low buy-ins)?

I think I may have to make a deposit now! LOL 😉

Well, Pedro knocked me out on the first hand with his JJ against my KQo when we both improved on the flop/turn/river, but not enough improvement for my TP -- T2P?; can't seem to read my HH file -- to overcome his set. And I just responded way too fast to his all-in on the river. But, certainly well played, Pedro. :thumbsup

Sorry I didn't last longer folks, but at least I got to get my house chores done early tonight. . . :1orglaugh

Europe’s leading online poker site, Titan Poker, is preparing to send 5 of their top online tournament players to this summer’s World Series of Poker.

(The site will be running a series of tournaments for players across Europe with each one having a country specific vibe. The various qualifiers and feeder tournaments will culminate in five finals where one player, each from a different country, will represent Titan Poker in Las Vegas. Each player who wins one of the World Challenge tournaments will receive a prize package worth $13,000 which will cover their Main Event buy-in plus travel expenses).

:thumbsup

I doubt it would only be available if you deposited at that time (i.e. deposit bonus) I suspect it would be added just as a bonus that would have to be unlocked using FPPs.

The problem is that if you do not have cash it will be difficult if not impossible to actually unlock it... But then earning enough academy points to be able to earn it in the first place would be almost impossible without having cash in the first place...

So, I bet you don't technically have to deposit at the time to get the bonus but since they know it would be so hard to get it without having deposited at some point, it covers their butts... LOL

Let us know if you find out FOR SURE! 😁

Absolute was the first poker site I played at. I never heard of hold 'em until one summer they were giving away a harley with a radio promo by playing a qualifying freeroll tournament on AP. This was maybe 5 years ago. I might have made 2 or 3 small deposits back then (never lasted long, I'm not great now and I was horrible back then). Then I discovered all the other sites and freerolls and kind of forgot about AP. After a month or so I logged on and discover ten bucks in my account. I thought maybe they just gave me my bonus money even though I didn't earn the points for it. But it happened 2 more times since, usually after long layoffs from the site. I wasn't owed any bonus money those times. Has this happened to anyone else. I hope they keep it up, lot easier getting started that way then trying to beat out thousands of players for my share of 50 bucks.

Hello

I just sent you a PM.

Short story if you already got a carbon poker account you need to get your forum account upgraded. An upgrade will let you access the private part of the forums where all the freeroll goodies are posted. Posting and building the forum and discussing with other will help you get upgraded.

But as some have pointed before it's possible to signup through the other poker room. Carbon Poker or Pdc Poker, both use the merge gaming network and the freerolls can be accessed from both interfaces.
