That's exciting but most newbies wont touch those higher buy-in tournaments.

Following an announcement that the 2008 World Series of Poker main event will be delayed three months from the rest of the WSOP play, poker professionals reacted to the news differently. Some loved the idea, others flat out hated it.

Om du ska betala skatt eller inte för dina pokervinster beror på om pokersajten du spelar på ligger innaför EU eller inte.

Här följer listan på olika Pokersidor som är skattefria!!

Gaming Club Casino (Ligger innaför EU = skattefria)

To celebrate the biggest poker tournament in the world, Bodog is launching a new online poker tournament series this summer that will mirror all 25 Holdem events of the 2008 World Series of Poker in Las Vegas at just a fraction of the buy-in.

The Bodog Poker Mini-SOP will run from May 30-July 3 with each tournament held on the same date as its counterpart in Las Vegas but with buy-ins equal to just 1 percent of the actual buy-in of the WSOP Event. After the completion of the series' 25 events, Bodog will host a final tournament on July 10 that will award three seats to the 2009 WSOP Main Event, making Bodog the first online poker site to give away seats to next summer's Main Event.

Bodog will be running a Tournament Leader Board throughout the series that will be used to determine who will compete in that final, 27-player tournament. The top four players on the TLB automatically qualify, while places five through 100 on the TLB will compete for one of 18 seats awarded in a Semifinal qualifier held two days before the final. The remaining five seats to the final will be picked from a random "wild card" drawing of players who have entered in at least three Mini-SOP events. The top three finishers in the Mini-SOP Final will each be awarded a $12,000 prize package to the 2009 WSOP Main Event with places four through nine receiving T$109 to buy into online poker tournaments in the Bodog Poker room.

There are also still plenty of opportunities available to qualify for this year's WSOP Main Event because Bodog is guaranteeing at least six $12,000 Main Event Prize Packages each and every week. 2008 WSOP online poker satellites start for as little as $1 and winners of a $12,000 Main Event Prize Package receive the $10,000 buy-in to the main event, $2,000 for travel expenses, loads of Team Bodog gear and the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to experience Las Vegas in total Bodog style, including meeting the Bodog Girls and much, much more.

Bodog will be guaranteeing five WSOP Main Event seats in a single tournament on Sunday, June 8 at 3:15 p.m. ET with a buy-in of $250+$20. Finish in the top five and you’ll be getting more than just the $10,000 buy-in and $2,000 in travel expenses. You can expect plenty of other perks that come with being a part of Team Bodog. With the Main Event almost here this will be one of your last and best chances to get yourself to the Big Dance in Vegas on July 3rd!

Poker players from around the world have gathered in Las Vegas for the start of the World Series of Poker.

160 million dollars in prize money are up for grabs at the tournament.

It costs ten thousand dollar to buy into the poker game, but there are plenty of people more than happy to pay.

New deposit methods arrive as older deposit methods are made unavailable. The newest and easiest addition to us poker deposit options are poker echecks, they are as fast, easy and secure as a credit card deposit. These deposits are run through a third party called Nexum Financial, which owns Instant eChecks. This company is highly reputable and is a leader in electronic transactions. To use poker echecks, you only need your account number and routing number to deposit. Once your deposit has been made, your funds are instantly available for play.

Currently there are only a few poker rooms that accept online poker echecks:

Doyles Room

Full Tilt Poker

Absolute Poker

Ultimate Bet

Pokerstars-com
