He’s definitely an unusual suspect but according to April Magolon, a 27-year-old from Pennsylvania, she claims that she was felt up by Donald Duck during a visit to Walt Disney World in Florida back in 2008 and is moving forward with a law suit that will ruffle more than a few feathers.

The temperamental duck is in real hot water after Magolon claimed that while visiting the park with her family, the duck touched one of her breasts and groped her continuously while she was holding her daughter according to the Daily Mail.

The woman also claims that she has been severely traumatized by the incident that has left here with nightmares, digestive problems, anxiety, insomnia, you name it. These are all permanent conditions that she claims are occurring as a result of the incident.

The ‘emotional stress’ that she’s had to deal with is apparently unbearable and is suing for negligence, battery and infliction of emotional stress.

In Donald Duck’s defense, workers how have carry out the same job wearing the fuzzy suits claim that they can barely even see or breathe inside the suits and are escorted around from place to place due to their lack of visibility.

Not to say that Donald is innocent per say but it may be a good idea for the woman to try on one of the suits for herself…just saying.

That's fupped duck.

Lawmakers in the state of Massachusetts had the entire last session of 2010 to work out details of gambling expansion, but House Speaker Robert DeLeo, Senate President Therese Murray, and Governor Duval Patrick were unable to get on the same page on how to expand the industry.

The new session began today, and DeLeo was once again elected as the House Speaker. In his speech to commemorate the election, DeLeo vowed once again to bring gambling expansion to the forefront of legislative discussions in the new year.

Despite the optimism that a deal would get done this session, there are still some major roadblocks ahead for the lawmakers. DeLeo still wants to see state racetracks gain the right to offer slot machines, while Patrick is opposed to the idea. Murray's stance closely resembles that of the governor.

Patrick, who ran his campaign years ago on the promise of bringing casino resorts to Massachusetts, is now not as enthusiastic that legislation can be completed. The governor has even said that gambling expansion is not high on his list of priorities this session.

"It's not at the top of my list and, frankly, unless we can figure out some way to come to terms on some of the big differences before it's filed," said Patrick, to reporters after DeLeo's spirited speech. "It (gambling debate) just sucks all the oxygen out of the place and we've got a lot of other work to do."

Murray broke from the governor's pessimistic attitude by claiming she would be in favor of re-engaging in the gambling discussion. The Senate President believes that thousands of jobs and much needed revenue in Massachusetts is a good reason to revisit the issue.

Actor Dennis Hopper, who was known for his celebrated work both on and off screen is selling his vast collection of artwork including a famed Warhol print of Mao Zedong which he shot a few bullet holes through. The posthumous auction is being held at Christie's next week and will include the artwork that adorned the artist’s home from floor to ceiling including artwork by Lichtenstein and Warhol.

Dennis Hopper passed away back in May 2010 after losing a battle with prostate cancer and left behind a vast art collection including works of his own such as photography and several paintings. His four children took charge of clearing out the artwork from his home, which according to Access Hollywood was one of Hopper’s requests.

The actor’s eclectic collection will include over 300 paintings with one of the highlights being the bullet riddled Mao Zedong screenprint by Warhol, who Warhol himself claimed made Hopper a 'collaborator' after shooting it himself back in the 70’s. This print is expected to raise up to $30K.

For fans of his breakthrough film, Easy Rider, there is a 158-page script of the movie with many handwritten notes which is expected to go for at least $3K. The BBC claims that there will also be movie posters on hand from the movies Apocalypse Now, Blue Velvet and Speed.

You shouldn’t expect to see any of Hopper’s personal paintings or photography work because according to the BBC, those are for his children to keep.

It seems like there will be a mixed bag of art work since Hopper’s collection claims to be so eclectic. It would be great to see some of his photography since his talents were so intimately expressed through that medium. Hopefully they’ll sneak a few in somewhere along the line.

I like poker regulation the way it is, in the gray area. Since the discussion has been so up in the air recently with Washington and Kentucky even preventing players from getting in their poker fix, I have been draining my funds off most of my poker sites, just in case I come in to play and get the 'closed' sign.

Proposals to expand gaming keep getting bigger.

Late Thursday the Illinois House was working on legislation that would put slot machines in Chicago airports, adding on to an expansion of gaming approved in December by the state Senate.

One gaming lobbyist calculated that the latest proposed version of Illinois gaming would make one slot machine, video poker device or other form of gambling available for every 110 people over 21 in Illinois.

“It’s just too big,” said Tom Swoik, executive director of the Illinois Casino Gaming Association.

Casino operators have resisted the expansion proposals, which would add competition at a time that gaming business is down.

The city of Joliet already has estimated that its share of gaming taxes will drop by $3 million this year because of a new casino scheduled to open in Des Plaines.

Illinois legislators are proposing three more casinos in the Chicago market — one in Chicago itself, another in Lake County and one in the south suburbs. Two more casinos would open outside of the Chicago market in Rockford and Danville.

The prediction is that Illinois could see $1 billion in additional gaming revenue with the expansion.

In Joliet, City Manager Thomas Thanas worries existing revenues will just be shifted around with Joliet losing money to the other casinos that open up.

“We think it will have a substantial impact on reducing the revenue that the city will see,” said Thanas.

In addition to putting gambling at O’Hare and Midway airports, legislators want to add slot machines at Illinois racetracks. Tracks have wanted the so-called racinos for years. Legalized gambling on video poker machines was approved for taverns and clubs in 2009, although regulators have not made that new form of gambling possible yet.

Even if the new casinos and racinos don’t hit the revenue targets set by legislators, the state would see a huge one-time sum estimated at $1.3 billion by charging licensing fees for the new gaming establishments.

Money motivator

One big motivator is the state’s financial crisis, which is increasing the likelihood that legislators will follow through on a gaming expansion plan bigger than any of those concocted in past years when the Illinois budget was in better shape.

Thanas said gaming has always been an “easy target” when legislators have looked for new revenue. But proponents of a big expansion of gambling have never been able to overcome the opposition.

This year, Thanas said, “I think we’ll see that happen.”

If you’ve been keeping up with the Anna Nicole Smith case, then you’ll be shocked to hear today’s news. The last update in the case came last fall when Anna Nicole Smith’s boyfriend and “supplier”, Howard K. Stern, was convicted of two felony charges due to using fake names to acquire prescription drugs for Anna but now it seems that that during today's sentencing trial, the judge decided to drop all charges.

According to Eonline, the Superior Court Judge Robert Perry felt that the evidence against Stern did not show conspiracy. He also noted how Stern’s intentions were not to defraud the system but to help protect Anna’s privacy by using multiple names to acquire the medication.

As for the doctor that dispensed the medication to Stern leading to her death, Dr. Christine Erosevich, she wasn’t quite as lucky but she still managed to get a good deal. She was charged for obtaining a Vicodin prescription under a false name and sentenced to one year of unsupervised probation that comes with a $100 fine.

Stern was as happy as can be about the ruling and had this to say to Eonline, “I think the prosecution was dishonest in her character," Stern continued by commenting on how Anna was an “incredibly strong woman.” "Prosecution tried to portray her as messed up on drugs in the corner of the room."

Something about that verdict just doesn’t feel right, it just gives you a funny feeling doesn’t it?

The prevailing recession in the other sectors of the economy seems to have bypassed online gambling. A report from H2 Gambling Capital has revealed that online gambling has grown by 12.5% in 2010. In absolute terms the gross win generated by the online gaming industry touched $29.95 billion. Skeptics would point out that the
Football World Cup betting is responsible for this phenomenal growth. H2 Gambling Capital has done its homework and states that the growth after discounting the World Cup betting was 11.4%.

H2 Gambling Capital tracks seven product verticals and has reported sector wise results. The highest growth rate was achieved in the online bingo sector. Gross win revenues in the bingo sector grew by 28.4% to reach $2.67 billion in 2010. This is not surprising since bingo is the latest online gambling product. The sector with the second highest growth rate was online casino. This sector grew by 13.3% year on year to reach $2.67 billion. The online gambling vertical with the largest revenue is sports betting. The gross win for 2010 in this sector was $12.06 billion and included betting on the World Cup. This was a growth of 10.8% as compared to the previous year. Poker generated the slowest growth rate of all the product verticals. A growth rate of 7.1% resulted in a gross win revenue of $5.06 billion. The H2 Gambling Capital report claims that had it not been for the impetus provided by the recently opened French and Italian online poker markets, the gross win revenue would have actually fallen.

The growth was achieved despite a reduction in the global real money online gambling sites. The year 2010 ended with 2,400 sites, which were 160 sites less than at the beginning of the year. This was not unexpected. Intensifying competition leading to industry consolidation is something that will continue in 2011 as well.

H2 Gambling Capital has predicted the continuance of the low double digit growth for the industry. This prediction is based on many European countries embracing regulated online gambling in the near future. Belgium, Denmark, Greece and Spain are the countries actively considering putting in place a regulatory mechanism for online gambling in 2011. H2 Gambling Capital also identified mobile devices as key drivers of growth in 2010, a trend that is expected to continue. The findings released in this report were based on provisional estimates. The final results and projections for 2011 to 2015 will be released in April 2011.

H2 Gambling Capital, located in the United Kingdom, is the supplier of data and consultancy regarding the gambling industry. Since 2000 it has supplied industry data and information to over 500 clients. H2 Gambling Capital has developed its own proprietary software to monitor online gambling information.

Problem gamblers who are too shy to seek help will soon have an alternative.

The National Addictions Management Service (Nams) is creating an online manual to help them manage their condition on their own and in the privacy of their homes.

While there have been various campaigns on gambling addiction over the past two years, experts told MediaCorp that only about seven to 12 per cent of addicts seek professional help. This even as Nams, which treats more severe cases of problem gambling, has seen a steady increase of patients. Gambling addicts now account for 22 per cent of new patients, up from nine per cent in 2007.

Its clinical director, Associate Professor Wong Kim Eng, said: "Self-motivation is very important. We have to make the manual relatively easy so we can get them started. And if at some point they feel they require professional help, then they can come forth, ring up our hotline and book an appointment."

The self-help approach is also being explored by the National Council on Problem Gambling (NCPG).

Council director Charlotte Beck said it may rope in more organisations to provide support.

"There'll always be a need for clinical treatment; there'll be a need for community-based, counselling-type treatment. But, increasingly, there are also (more independent) options that people will want," she said.

Meanwhile, due to a heavier workload, counsellors from five other Family Service Centres (FSC) run by the Thye Hua Kwan Moral Society are being deployed to their sister FSC at Tanjong Pagar, which processed 310 family exclusion applications last year.

The NCPG is also looking at having its staff handle some calls to the helpline now managed by Tanjong Pagar FSC and Nams.

Last year, the helpline received over 900 calls, mostly from concerned family members wanting to apply for a casino exclusion order against a problem gambler. One-third were processed eventually.

Mr Charles Lee, a senior counsellor at the FSC, expects the number of calls to increase, especially now that the time taken to obtain a family exclusion order has been reduced to two weeks. He saw the need to hire more professional counsellors to boost the current five-man team.

Another challenge is the time needed for proper treatment. Raffles Hospital clinical psychologist Dr Danny Ng said: "Maintenance and after treatment such as support groups and follow-up sessions are critical to prevent any relapse."

A discussion paper on the future regulation of gambling has been approved by the Government.

It outlines a number of options which the Department of Justice & Law Reform says could be the basis any new legal framework for gambling. Among the options are suggestions for licensing two kinds of casinos: registered casinos with a maximum of 15 tables; and a resort casino which would be part of a large-scale complex to include hotels, conference centres and other leisure facilities.

For companies not based in Ireland which offer gambling here - such as internet betting - the paper suggests a non-judicial authorisation or licensing process under the department's authority. But it warns that any sanctions against firms that do not comply must be capable of being enforced. It says a ban on advertising would be difficult to enforce, and suggests looking at blocking offending websites.

It also says that remote gambling is a global phenomenon which 'may well be incapable of full regulation'.

The paper envisages improved protection for minors and vulnerable adults, more transparent operations by gambling providers, and more effective measures against fraud and illegal gambling. It would cover gambling by telephone, mobile phones, internet and interactive television.

The paper suggests that the power of local authorities to permit or ban gaming could cease, but they could have powers in relation to planning and licensing arrangements.

The paper also suggests greater enforcement of the District Court certification processes, and legal measures to prevent problem gambling.

The Minister for Justice, Dermot Ahern, said existing gambling laws were not fit for purpose in this age of mass global communications, and a new regulated environment needed to reflect 21st century thinking in this area of policy.

For the companies not based in Ireland which offer gambling here – such as Internet betting – the paper suggests a non-judicial authorization or licensing process under the department's authority. Gambling lobbyists are pressing for a law that would allow Iowans to legally gamble on the Internet, and two Democratic leaders said Friday they're not opposed to the idea.

"I don't have strong feelings on that issue," said Senate Majority Leader Mike Gronstal, D-Council Bluffs.

A reported 150,000 Iowans already engage in online gambling, such as poker, but it's illegal, the state doesn't capture taxes on it and there's no regulation.

"Some efforts to take charge of our fate on this ... makes sense," Gronstal said during a meeting with The Des Moines Register's editorial board.

Legislation could require people to sign up via a local casino, and deposit cash upfront so that they're not running up gambling debt on credit cards, Gronstal said. There would need to be safeguards to prevent kids from gambling and other precautions, he said.

House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy, D-Des Moines, said any gambling proposal is bound to be controversial - and people will complicate the issue by suggesting changes for horse racing and dog racing and other state gambling laws.

Here are other issues the Democratic leaders discussed Friday:

JOB CREATION: A team of about 10 senators is putting together economic development tools to help small businesses, Gronstal said. Existing programs in the state economic development program have proved effective, too, he said.

Senate President Jack Kibbie, D-Emmetsburg, said Iowa needs more skilled workers, but the community colleges need more state and local funding to pay for expensive technical education programs.

GAY MARRIAGE: Gronstal has vowed to prevent a ban on gay marriage from going to a statewide vote.

Asked about criticism that one person shouldn't prevent the people from having their say, Gronstal said it would be "wrong in every way" to put the rights of individuals up to a vote of the people.

"We did not put it to a vote of the people when Iowa took out of our constitution in 1857 the prohibition of interracial marriage. We did not put the right of different race couples to a vote of the people. We didn't put to a vote of the people whether or not women should be admitted to the bar," he said.

The Iowa Constitution exists "to protect everybody's rights and to avoid the tyranny of the majority," he said. Gronstal said the Nov. 2 election didn't prove Iowans oppose same-sex marriage. Each election, judges get "no" votes totaling about 25 percent. It was those votes, plus those who don't want gay couples to marry, that pushed the vote high enough to oust three Iowa Supreme Court justices who participated in the marriage ruling, he said.

More evidence that banning gay marriage isn't the will of the people, he said, is that two-thirds of voters opposed the opportunity to hold a constitutional convention, which would have given Iowans a chance to amend the constitution to ban gay marriage.

ABORTION: Some Republicans, who hold the majority in the Iowa House, favor passing a law that would prohibit abortions after the 20th week of pregnancy unless the mother's life is in danger. Asked how the Iowa Senate, where Democrats have the majority, might react, Gronstal said he doesn't know.

"It would go through the normal committee process. We'll see when that comes up," he said.

McCarthy said some House Democrats might support such an anti-abortion bill, but they need to study exactly how it's worded.

SMOKING CESSATION: A proposal by House Republicans would cut state money for anti-smoking programs that offer free stop-smoking advice, nicotine gum and anti-smoking advertisements.

The cuts would save $2.4 million in the last six months of this year, plus $6.7 million in the next fiscal year. However, the state health department said at least several hundred thousand dollars in federal grants could be revoked.

Democrats will defend money for the anti-smoking programs, which have helped Iowa become a leader in reducing underage smoking, McCarthy said.

Gronstal said the state has a responsibility to help people quit smoking and to discourage kids from starting smoking, which is the mission of a Quitline Iowa hot line and counter-advertising programs such as Just Eliminate Lies.

The programs save the state millions of dollars in the long term, Gronstal said. "Tens of millions," he said. Cutting funding saves only a tiny amount of money, he said.

When the casino gambling bill fell short at the end of the last legislative session, the eyes of pro-gaming advocates looked to January's session as the next chance to see casinos in Massachusetts.

Already this week multiple bills to allow Bay State casinos have been filed. But politicians say that's just the start.

"It would only be a beginning of the discussion because like any piece of legislation it would be subject to amendment and the house has had significant differences in the senate bill and the clock ran out in the last session so as expected it will be revised and it will have to go through a process," says Senator Stephen Brewer.

One of the bills filed this week called for three casinos in the state. One being guaranteed here in western Massachusetts. But Senator Stephen Brewer-- who represents Palmer, where Mohegan Sun is ready to build-- says getting a bill to vote isn't a quick process.

"People seem to think when they read headlines that the bill will be voted on maybe next week and that's simply an impossible task, there have been no committees nor chairmen or members of committees formed yet," Brewer said.

Or any discussion of slot machines at the state's horse tracks. Remember that's what stalled the last bill. House Speaker Robert DeLeo wanted them. Governor Patrick did not.

Those in favor of seeing casinos point to the 15,000 jobs gaming could bring to the region. For those opposed the answer is still the same.

"This debate just sucks the wind out of everything any kind of legislation I would like to see it just go away of course but apparently that is just not going to happen," says anti-casino advocate Emaladd Shepherd, a Munson resident.

Senator Brewer voted no in August. He's not against casino gambling but says it's all about making sure the State's decision is the right one.

"The protection of host and budding communities to make sure what we do as a legislature we do right the first time," Brewer said.

A businessman who thought that he could win big money through online gambling lost more than RM700,000 within two weeks.

The betting syndicate is now using Ah Long to get its money back.

The victim, who claims to be a Datuk, alleged that he was introduced to online gambling through his friend, Ah Chua, who showed him how easy it is to gamble on the net in September last year.

The businessman, who wanted to be known as Simon, 36, added that he was attracted to the prospect of making easy money after his friend won RM100,000 within 20 minutes by betting on dog racing.

“My friend persuaded me to gamble through the Internet as I usually gamble at places like Genting,” he told a press conference organised by Johor Baru MCA complaints bureau deputy chairman Michael Tay here.

He also said that he had given RM130,000 to his friend to place bets. “I told him I wanted some of the money back to repay the Ah Long but he give me a RM40,000 cheque which bounced,” he said, adding that his friend has since disappeared.

Simon added that the syndicate had gambling connections in Macau, Australia, England, Singapore and Malaysia with bets placed on horse and dog racing.

“Usually one of the bookies would contact me and if I win, I would get my winnings from them,” he said adding that the most he won was RM30,000.

Simon said that he now owed the syndicate RM300,000 in gambling debts and the loan sharks hired by the syndicate are becoming more aggressive.

Tay reminded people not to gamble through the Internet as it is dangerous and there is no such thing as easy money.

“I also urge the government to pass a law banning Internet gambling sites as people can access them easily,” he said.

It’s been a while since we’ve heard from Brooklynites, The Beastie Boys, but never fear because they’ve wrapped up a new album called the “Hot Sauce Committee: Part II,” which is due for release sometime during the spring. It’s been a tough couple of years for the boys who have been supporting Adam Yauch and his battle with cancer.

Adam was diagnosed with cancer back in 2009 when according to Billboard Magazine, they found a tumor in his salivary glands. In July of the same year, he went in for surgery to have the tumor removed and according to reports Adam is feeling “healthy, strong and hopeful.”

After the removal of the tumor, Adam spent some time in India where according to the Huffington Post, he spent some time with the Dali Lama and visited Tibetan doctors who gave him sound advice concerning treatment. He mentioned how the doctors gave him Tibetan medicines and told him to start a vegan diet right away. During his time in India, he also took part in several religious ceremonies where prayer is used in the healing process.

Due to Adam’s condition, the release of their new record was delayed but it is now on schedule to be released later this year, starting with “Hot Sauce Committee: Part II” and followed by Part I. Although Adam is stronger, there is still some uncertainty as to whether the band will be able to go on tour.

The new album follows their 2007 instrumental album, “The Mix-Up”, which landed them a Grammy Award for “Best Pop Instrumental Album” album back in 2008.

Let’s just hope Adam gets better really soon because no one can rhyme quite like these guys; they are definitely in a class of their own.

Outgoing Pennsylvania Governor Ed Rendell, who is known for his angry outbursts at Capitol reporters in Harrisburg, explodes at CBS reporter Lesley Stahl in a segment recorded for tomorrow night's "60 Minutes." The subject of the piece is gambling and Stahl questions Rendell about gambling addicts......"People are losing money for the state to get its revenue," says Stahl.
Rendell responded..."Those people would lost that money anyway. Don't you understand? You guys don't get that. You're simpletons. You're idiots if you don't get that."
Earlier this week, the governor said gambling revenues reduced property taxes by an average of $200.
The governor told reporter Stahl that the benefits of casino gambling far outweigh the negatives and that the biggest downside is some people are losing their paychecks but "they're not losing their paychecks because Pennsylvania instituted gaming...those people were losing their paychecks in Atlantic City, in Delaware, at the racetracks or in West Virginia."

Rendell, who leaves office January 18, met with Capitol reporters including WDUQ's Scott Detrow and said he plans to teach, write a book, possibly practice law, and maybe be a news commentator.

Many may think that their MasterCard and Visa credit cards are the thorn in online gamblers side’s because of their refusal to processor online gambling transactions. But on the contrary. Both credit card companies support online gambling regulation in the US. Since the UIGEA bill went in full effect in 2010, both companies have had to adhere to the new laws and enforce the no transaction rules, but they are not happy about the situation and have even lobbied Congress for internet gambling regulations!

MasterCard has spent hundreds of thousands, actually about $840,000 in lobbying the government for a few issues in the last quarter of 2010 and one of those issues is online gambling. Both MasterCard and Visa are losing millions of dollars if not billions in online gambling transactions and would like to see that business coming back their way. But alas their efforts to make Congress hear their reasons fell on deaf ears. But in 2010 more key legislators did join in the support of both Senator Harry Reid’s & Barney Franks bills, but the new incoming Congress wants no part of either. Both credit card companies are waiting to see what happens with “intrastate” gambling in the states of California, New Jersey and Florida because they would consider processing transactions for online casinos in those states if they can prove that it does not break the UIGEA bill.

Last year, opening a restaurant in Las Vegas seemed like a fabulous idea for Desperate Housewive’s star Eva Longoria and her partner Todd English, but unfortunately after one year of business, her restaurant, Beso, has filed for bankruptcy.

First, her massively publicized divorce to NBA star Tony Parker and followed by a failed investment. Ouch! According to the Wall Street Journal, Longoria holds a 32.33% stake in Beso LLC which includes a Latino inspired restaurant as well as a nightclub which is also part of the City Center resort.

Vegas hotels and casinos had a tough year in 2010 and according to the Las Vegas Sun, are seeking Chapter 11 protection in the U.S. bankruptcy court for assets totaling $2.5 million after they had trouble covering the lease.

The debts just seemed to pile up including the paying back of a $1.1 million loan, $1.8 in rent and a quarter of a million in taxes.

According to their website, they were voted the “Best New Restaurant of 2009” by the Las Vegas Review which means it got off to a good start with their latino inspired dishes and a sultry chocolate brown décor. Longoria included some of her favorite dishes including ceviche and Eva's special tortilla soup.

The restaurant has filed for Bankruptcy in order to hopefully stay afloat and possibly bounce back from their financial troubles.

Pennsylvania Governor Ed Rendell lambasted CBS’ 60 Minutes reporter Lesley Stahl about questioning his stance on gambling within the state during an interview that aired Sunday night.

Stahl pressed Rendell about his pro-gambling bills and casino expansion in Pennsylvania and the Governor didn’t pull any punches in his rebuttal.

"People are losing money for the state to get its revenue," Stahl said to ignite the exchange. "They're losing money."

"You're not getting it," Rendell responds after stammering his way through an initial statement. "Those people would lose that money anyway. Don't you understand? You guys don't get that. You're simpletons. You're idiots if you don't get that."

Rendell has been no stranger to controversy lately. After a Philadelphia Eagles game was postponed due to a snowstorm last month, Rendell was quoted as saying that the United States had become a “nation of wussies.”

Rendell is responsible for turning Pennsylvania into a gaming state by introducing slots casinos and expanding card games at casinos. The gambling industry has been praised for increasing jobs, but has its critics who say the industry promotes addictive behavior.

New Jersey senators have made the bold move of moving forward with the plan of online gambling regulations. Today, it will be the state Assembly's turn to discuss the issue when A-2570 comes up for debate on the Assembly floor.

The online gambling bill is one of a handful of gambling bills that are expected to be discussed. The session begins at 1PM, and the entire gaming industry will be watching closely to see if New Jersey can become the first state to regulate online casinos.

The actual debate may be a formality. The Senate and Assembly have delayed final passage of the bill in order for the sponsor of the legislation, Senator Raymond Lesniak, to work out some tax issues. The bill was scheduled to be voted on shortly after the new year, but was not brought up on the expected date of January 6th.

If the bill passes as expected today, all that would be left is for Governor Chris Christie to sign the legislation. Governor Christie has given no indication that he would veto such a bill. New Jersey, with no apparent roadblocks, is set to become the first state in the nation to regulate online gambling.

The step comes as a relief to online poker players, many of which were discouraged when Senator Harry Reid's federal proposal stalled before the new year. With New Jersey becoming a ground-breaker for Internet gambling, it is likely that other states will soon follow and create their own laws regarding the popular activity.

California lawmakers are also working on a bill that would regulate online poker. Once individual states start to regulate the industry, analysts believe it will not be long before the US government moves in on the billions of dollars in tax revenue that can be created from regulations.

Atlantic City casinos would be the major beneficiaries of the online casino regulations. The city's casinos have been struggling with increased competition coming from neighboring states. The addition of online casino wagering and sports betting would again give AC casinos the upper hand in the Northeast.

Can you picture Jim Carrey in a tutu? You probably could if you remember his days on In Living Color, but last night’s portrayal of Mila Kunis’s Black Swan character on SNL was priceless.

Jim Carrey opened the first SNL episode of the season by letting the world know that they should stay positive as the end of the world nears. “When everyone around you bursts into flames, it’s time for s’mores, he said.

The main highlight of the evening was his Black Swan performance where Lily is first introduced to Nina, the tightly-wound star of the movie. Carrey’s character, Lily, enters the room with the line, “Sorry I’m late. I had to go numbers 3 and 4.” He then takes off his jacket to reveal his wing tattoos which are actually buffalo wings. Awesome! He then lets the other dancers know, “Get ready to rock bitches,” as he danced uncontrollably in true Jim Carrey form..

Other skits included his portrayal of an R&B singer who was part of the “Worst of Soul Train” dvd collection as well as a self-proclaimed sex expert who’s pushing his “Tantric and Sexy” CD. You really have to see the full episode to get a feel for the skit but if you’re a fan of Jim Carrey, then you can only imagine how hilarious it really is.
