Just received a message today from Administrators and Moderators. Just want to say that I understand seeking active members here, and I'm not in it for just the freerolls. If you look you will find that I didn't participate in the last 2 freerolls at all.
I initially got involved with your site to be more sociable, but I'm not one to simply write a blog to hear myself talk. I've actually looked at some of the blogs that have been written and find them entertaining and informative for the most part. However, I've read even more where a member seems to vent about the same things all the time. That isn't my style, although venting is good unless it seems that is all you can do. Playing poker is suppose to be fun, and of course there will be people who are "constantly" called donks because they are new to the game and need to learn the ropes. But the idea is that they may be like me and using this as an avenue to become more socially involved. Tearing them down doesn't reinforce a positive outlook on this.
I don't blog much, or post much, because I haven't learned the fine art of what is interesting information. I could tell a few jokes to show some activity, but is this really what is wanted just to show activity?
I am not well known, nor do I know many poker players, so again it is difficult to speak to anything of interest since I don't really know that much about the game either. I'm still in infant stage for online poker and the fine art of clever repartee. If anyone has good ideas on how to accomplish a better understanding of this, please let me know.
I agree with your sentiments Rebel, and will strive to do the same. No hard feelings at all about the new policy.
I've had 7 new posts and I'm not there yet.
I'm becoming an author... π, more than a poker player.
:what:
Time will tell.
Not sure yet what makes you an active member.

Maybe they have to be quality posts. I see a lot of posts here that are just about how many posts the person has.

You are active?
No, but I am not complaining about the requirement either.

Well....this didn't get exactly the feedback I was looking for. While I appreciate comments, I am not the one who posted the bann or restrictions. I am actually a player looking for what the new requirements are as to stated activity. Nothing was ever stated on the site when I enrolled. The only other site that has actually given restriction on membership is CardChat. It is very clearly stated. So, if the Admin and Mods look at these messages, it would be nice to have some guidelines.
eat shrimp?

Yay! I finally found what I was looking for. For all of you who are finding nothing new stated about latest requirements from IXGAMES, look under Announcements>Trial Membership. All those that the Admin and Mods have determined on trial, via a recent email received, now gives a reasoning and a minimum of 5 posts to be considered active. It doesn't say how often you have to maintain those 5 posts (as I'm assuming that it should continue on a regular basis), but how hard can it be to check out what is currently going on in the poker world and give your spin on it?
think it will be a good thing for people to pop in and contribute a little dont think the are asking for blood people just a little contribution towards the active status .Welcome:
