Well, I don't know, Italians are known to be equal to Poles, that's a fact, but is a Romanian really that bad? It's a question, to me it seems like a big handicap, since the Romanian has been playing on clay courts for a while now and has had some decent results, even outperforming himself at times. The Italian will have the advantage of playing at home and being familiar with this surface, but I don't think they are that much stronger to break through. The Romanian is capable of defending well and getting his opponent into a defensive game, but at the same time he can also serve well, although he doesn't always have the stability at this location.
