Birmingham spent about 40 million during the summer, which is a lot for a third-level team. They started the season well, being at the top of the table with 19 points in 7 matches, scoring 16 goals and conceding 8. They drew their first game at home, and then won 3 in a row. The club is recovering and has seen an increase in fan attendance this season.
