I choose the Slovak player for these reasons: she has defeated stronger opponents in the previous rounds, including the fierce Paolini, who was also a finalist at the French Open and Wimbledon, and Krejcikova, the Wimbledon champion. The Slovak player makes fewer unforced errors, which is Vekic's biggest weakness as she tends to make a lot of mistakes. Schmiedlova's favorite surface is clay, and Vekic will be more tired as she played for 3 hours yesterday compared to the Slovak player's 1.5 hours. I see a lot of value in this match.
