Hello. The last matches in the group stage of the Euro U20 championship. Germany against Israel. Going with a Jewish handicap.
The Germans had a very long preparation, which can be evaluated as not bad at all, but they were not very successful against strong teams (excluding Lithuania). In preparation, they lost to Greece (-16), Turkey (-28), and France (-20). Although they managed to defeat the Czech Republic in the group, they lost again to Italy by one point (-20). It seems that the German youth is not as good as the men's team...
Israel usually performs well in youth tournaments and their U20 team is no exception. Although they lost to Greece by 4 points in a friendly match, they easily won against the same Czech team in the championship, and they were taught a lesson by the Italians (who easily defeated the Germans) with a score of 90-72. It is a bit unexpected that now teams are considered equally matched, but from what I have observed, Israel looks much better. He did this against Italy, so why can't he do it again against Germany?
