WTA Challenger Valencia, clay. Very briefly. I have to go here with Bassols. Although she has not been in good shape lately, but: she defends last year's final here, beat Zavatska who was in good form in the first round, and is a local player. Although Mendez is a pure clay player, but she only occasionally reaches the "louder" ITF level, and generally she shouldn't even be here, as she lost in the qualifiers to Tararudee, but made it to the main tournament after Soboleva withdrew..
