Wimbledon 2019: Things to Watch
Wimbledon is just around the corner and here are some of the things to watch for the upcoming 2 weeks in this article!
Can Federer make it 9?
The record holding 8 time Wimbledon champion Roger Federer is yet again coming into this tournament as one of the top favourites to win as usual offered at 2.85 at Pinnacle only behind Djokovic who is the main favourite (2.30). Federer is entering the Wimbledon Championships in top form coming off a good run on Clay where he reached the Semi Final at the Roland Garros only to lose to Rafael Nadal and then followed up his good form on Grass winning his 10th title in Halle. Federer did have a very disappointing tournament last year after he lost to Kevin Anderson after leading 2-0 in the Quarter Final so without a doubt, we can expect him to be eager to bounce back and win the tournament again. Roger is in top form, this is his favourite Grand Slam and we should absolutely expect him to make a strong push for the 9th title of his career.

DraftKings debuts ‘Flash Bet’ tool for Wimbledon 2019
DraftKings’ has upped its ‘live betting and instant win’ capacities for sportsbook customers after launching its ‘Flash Bet’ tool.
The US bookmaker, which at present operates mobile and retail sportsbook services for the states of New Jersey and Mississippi, will make ‘Flash Bet’ wagering available for Wimbledon 2019 markets.
The new wagering tool allows DraftKings sportsbook customers to ‘place live, in-game wagers quickly between points in a given match’.
Boosting market engagement and product utilities, DraftKings customers will be able to view a timeline of their bet’s placed, whilst receiving ‘instant win payouts’ on winning wagers.
Jordan Mendell, DraftKings’ Senior Vice President of Product Research and Development, detailed the importance of the live betting tool as Drafkings seeks to ‘to satisfy a growing customer base in excess of 11 million and counting’.
“Live wagering is already widely popular today, but also represents a crucial part of the customer experience and engagement tomorrow,” said Mendell.
“Short of playing on the court themselves, we are wholly invested in bringing our customers as close as possible to Wimbledon this year, while also giving them a taste of the lightning-quick innovations to come.”

Dominic Thiem eliminated in the 1st round again! What is going on with Thiem on Grass man.. awful
His GS records
Aus Open 10-6
French Open 24-6
WIMBLEDON 5-6
US Open 15-5
He just can't seem to grasp the Grass courts, too talented to have a negative record though

Berankis was always surprisingly good at Wimbledon. I remember his fight in center court against Marin Cilic. That much was high quality and Berankis had a good chance to beat Croatian then. Definitely will try to watch his match against Tsonga.

Strange to see that odds for Berankis against Tsonga is even higher than the odds against Shapovalov.

What a Final between Djokovic and Federer! Longest Wimbledon Final ever, 2 match points saved on Federer's save by Djokovic, 5th set tie break at 12-12. Could not have asked for a better final. Absolutely legendary stuff
Djokovic is now 4-0 against Roger in 5th sets. For me, Novak is the best big game, big moment player of all time and is slowly approaching as an overall GOAT
