French tennis player Benoit Paire has started to feel much better and more comfortable on the grass-courts. The 28-year-old hasn't been a big fan of grass throughout his career as clay is considered to be his favorite surface.
The French made some negative comments about the fastest tennis surface in the past. Paire reached the Mercedes Cup semi-final in the opening week of the grass season before losing to fellow compatriot Lucas Pouille. It was his first noticeable result on the surface in years.
The French has kicked off his campaign at Wimbledon on a good tale by reaching round two. ''I can do something on grass, I reached the semi-final at Stuttgart, I feel I could do something,'' Paire said after his first-round win over Rogerio Dutra Silva.
Paire claims that he has made improvements in the mental aspect of his game as he now considers himself to be a much more mentally stable player. The world number 46 is not a stranger to on-court outbursts, which mainly includes throwing and breaking rackets.
''Since the beginning of the year, I have done 20 good matches mentally, and two-three bad,'' Paire insisted
