The world current best goalkeeper Manuel Neuer would not of been happy with this weeks performance against Poland who managed to put two goals past him, and what made things worse is that his team mates failed to score anything which ended the game with a shock loss. Germany’s only goalscorer so far during the qualification stages is Bayern Munich forward Thomas Muller who has scored twice. Both of these were against Scotland last month when they won 2 – 1.Germany, meanwhile, suffered its first defeat to Poland in Warsaw on the same day, having previously struggled to a 2-1 win over Scotland in its group opener. Goals from Arkadiusz Milik and Sebastian Mila condemned Germany to its first defeat in 19 competitive outings and its only loss in qualifying since a reversal against Czech Republic in in 2007.With Joachim Low's relatively new-look side finding its feet after winning the World Cup in Brazil, O'Neill is confident his players will ask questions of the Germans in Gelsenkirchen.
Away - Republic of Ireland
Last away matches - W-L-D-D
The only injury we have for Republic of Ireland is Everton’s Seamus Coleman who has a reported hamstring issue he picked up at the end of last month. David Forde has been the preferred first choice goalkeeper having played in all three qualifiers so far. Robbie Keane is the nations top scorer so far after his hat-trick this week against Gibraltar. Aiden McGeady is close behind with two goals and one assist. Ireland shipped nine goals against Germany when the nations were paired in Group C of qualifying for this year's World Cup, and O'Neill warned neither he nor his side will get carried away by the strong start.

Greece vs Northern Ireland

Last away matches - D-L-D-L-D-D
On the last round of EC-qualifiers Greece drew 1:1 with Finland on the road. So far the Greeks have collected only one point. During the first match they surprisingly lost at home to Romania on the 7th of September. Against Finland, Greece dominated the first half of the game and opened the score in the 24th minute when Karelis scored Greeks first goal in these Qualifiers. The second half looked differently and it were the hosts who appeared to be stronger and displayed bigger will to score the goal. This was quickly awarded with an equalizer in the 55th minute. Nothing interesting happened then and the game ended in a 1:1 draw. The Greeks do not have any new injuries that happened during the match against Finland
Away - Northern Ireland
Last away matches - W-L-L-D-L-D
Following the win over Faroe Island, Northern Ireland top Group F with the full set of six points. During that game the Irish goalkeeper, Roy Caroll, did not have much to do. Yet, he remained vivid till the very end of the game when he saved a penalty denying the visitors to score. The goals for Nothern Ireland were scored by Gareth McAuley and Kyle Lafferty – both goals were scored in the first half. For the Northern Irelands it is the best start of the EC-qualifiers since 1968 when they also managed back-to-back victories. The Irish are not afraid of going to Greece. Their manager Micheal O’Neill said: “Belief is developing in the squad all the time. We don’t envisage an easy game at all, but what we will have is a real go”. So expect them to be a tough opponent.

Poland stunned the World Champions Germany with a first ever win against their neighbours on Saturday evening. Arkadiusz Milik and Sebastian Mila scored the goals in a 2-0 win, but the result masked what was a backs-to-the-wall performance from the Poles. The hosts commanded just 33% of possession and had only five shots on goal in comparison to Germany's 29, while the corner count was 6-0 in favour of Joachim Löw's side.Nevertheless, Poland sit pretty atop of the Group D table, having previously beaten Gibraltar 7-0 in their opening group game. Robert Lewandowski scored four goals in that thumping of the part-timers and in doing so took his international tally to 23 goals. He has four goals for Bayern Munich so far this season, including a brace in his most recent outing against Hannover.Manager Adam Nawałka has incredibly capped 70 players since taking over as the national team manager less than a year ago. However, the winning formula that he found at the weekend, be it by luck or judgment, is sure to be one that he'd prefer to stick with a little longer now.
Away - Scotland
Last away matches - L-W-W-W-L-W
Scottish delight about the three points earned against Georgia at the weekend was tempered somewhat by the result in Warsaw - the Scots were hoping that the Germans would dominate the group and leave it for the rest of them to battle it out for second place. But they shouldn't, and won't, get too downbeat about it. The unflattering 1-0 result against Georgia was yet another step in the right direction for this improving Scottish team with the opening hour in particular producing some exciting and attacking football. Gordon Strachan even went as far as to describe it as "the best hour, 65 minutes that we've had as a football team since I've been here".Scotland have now won five and lost just one of their last eight games, and have kept five clean sheets during that period. Strachan's men have also lost only one of their last five away games, with that defeat coming in Germany in the opening match of this campaign.

Bayern Munchen
Pep Guardiola’s Bayern Munich experiment has thus far been largely characterised by a free-flowing, dynamic style that can only be praised. Yet, despite their utter dominance of German domestic football, there can be no mistaking that Champions League glory is the ultimate prize for the Bavarian giants. They seem likely to miss the talismanic figure of Arjen Robben this week due to injury, while Bastian Schweinsteiger and Thiago Alcantara are also set to miss the action. Javi Martinez is also unavailable, which will almost certainly necessitate the inclusion of Xabi Alonso in the holding role alongside Lahm.

I’m certain that Pellegrini will opt for one striker up front, considering the talent at Munich’s disposal. Fernandinho and Toure will offer a muscular force in midfield, while Pellegrini would be wise to utilise the electrifying pace of Navas on the counterattacks.

Granada vs Rayo Vallecano

Last away matches - L-L-W-D-W-D
Granada CF have gone from riches to rags in the matter of a few weeks. After opening the season with 4 straight unbeaten and 8 points, they have now lost their last 3 matches in La Liga action. While the 6:0 dismantling at the hands of the table-toppers in Barcelona was understandable, their 1:0 home defeat at the hands of Levante was not. Managing 0 shots on target throughout that match, the hosts must find a way to become consistent in their goal scoring after netting just 2 times in their last 5 contests. Colombian striker Jhon Cordoba was signed on over the summer to be the main hit-man in attack, and his traits of strength and power have caused many critics to take notice. He scored the lone match-winning goal against Athletic Bilbao in their most recent successful outing, and his form here may prove decisive towards the final score. However, they managed to accumulate just 3 more points at home than on the road last season, and 3 defeats in their last 5 league matches at the Estadio Nuevo Los Carmenes doesn’t incite much confidence for their chances this Friday
Away - Rayo Vallecano
Last away matches - W-L-D-L-D-D
Rayo Vallecano came back down to earth a bit last time out, losing at home to Barcelona 2:0 despite an impressive showing that really should have seen them score at least once. Los Franjirrojos were enjoying a brief win streak headed into that match after defeating Levante on the road (2:0) and rapidly-descending Athletic Bilbao at home (2:1), and manager Paco Jemez will be confident traveling to Granada for the early La Liga match this week. Striker Leo Baptistao has been a revelation for the visitors since signing a loan deal from Atletico Madrid, as after a brief adjustment period to his new mates, he has now scored his team’s last 4 goals (3 matches), all of which contributed to victories. Supported by Alberto Bueno in attack, who has also enjoyed a quality campaign thus far, Baptistao could be a real force for future opposition to worry about. Further good news for the visitors is that they have traveled well lately, having accumulated 19 of their 43 points last season while managing 4 points from 3 road contests in the new term. However, they will have to cope here without centre-back Jorge Garcia Morcillo and Mexican attacker Javier Aquino, both of whom picked up red cards last time out.

The Premier League returns with a bang from the second international break of the season as two sides open the weekend football with a real belief they can finish at least in the Champions League places this season. Of course, Manchester City are the reigning Champions andhave a lot more ambitions than merely finishing in the top four as they look to retain the Premier League title for the first time.It has been a mixed start to the season for Manchester City who have performed admirably away from home, but have struggled at times in front of their own fans. That is a surprise considering how dominant Manchester City were at the Etihad Stadium last season, but they are'just' 1-1-1 here in the League this season, although have hosted Liverpool and Chelsea amongst those teams. The side have scored 4 goals and conceded 3 in their opening League games.Manchester City beat Aston Villa in their final game before the international break and they are unbeaten in their last 5 games in all competitions while they have won 3 of their last 4 games. Mauricio Pochettino was appointed manager of Tottenham Hotspur this summer, but it is hard to know what the expectations are at White Hart Lane these days. While the Champions League has always been the ambition of Daniel Levy, there hasn't been a lot of investment in the playing staff this summer and it is hard to know if they have bridged the gap between themselves and the top four of last season, especially with an improved Manchester United another threat to those positions. The start to the season makes it hard to really know where Tottenham Hotspur stand as they have picked up 11 points from a possible 21, but have had a couple of poor results as well as a couple of big wins. It is arguable that Spurs have been better away from home where they are 1-2-0 so far in the Premier League, scoring 4 goals and conceding 3 in those games. Tottenham Hotspur went into the international break having been on a 4 game unbeaten run in all competitions which included four points from their last couple of Premier League games. Palace have only lost one of their last five matches in the Premier League that defeat coming against Hull just before the international break. So they have shown resilience, and surprisingly too they have also been scoring goals themselves, including their three goal haul at Everton to beat the Toffees. They also netted three at Newcastle and fired off a brace in a win against Leicester. Palace have posted a W1 D1 L1 record at Selhurst Park so far, and the three goals they have conceded there, were all shipped in a 3-1 defeat against West Ham. So they go into this one with back to back clean sheets on home turf in the league. However, that win last season over Chelsea, is their only victory in their last 14 matches against the Blues.

The Blues are unbeaten in their last 10 Premier League matches, winning eight of them. A 1-1 draw at Man City, in which the Citizens had to come from behind, have been the only dropped points of the season so far from Chelsea. Chelsea’s start of 19 points from a possible 21 is the second best ever start made by any side in the history of the Premier League. The best was Chelsea’s own 21 points from 21 at the start of the 2005/06 season. Phil Jagielka did an interview earlier in the week where the Everton captain admitted that his team mates are disappointed by the start to the new Premier League season, but haven't lost confidence. Everton have not been given the kindest of fixture lists to begin the season, while their participation in the Europa League is proving to be a difficult balancing act for Roberto Martinez, but the fans and players still believe better things are to come. Everton failed to win any of their last 5 games in all competitions going into the two week break since back to back wins against West Brom and Wolfsburg. They lost 3 of those 5 games, although it has to be said that this is their first home game in virtually a month. After an impressive start to the season that culminated in a win over Liverpool, Aston Villa have been suffering a little in recent weeks which has seen them drop to 10th in the Premier League table. The 10 points earned from a possible 21 is not a bad start though, although those fans believing a Champions League berth was possible are perhaps giving themselves more realistic goals from here on out. Aston Villa do bring in a 2-0-1 away record where they have scored 2 goals and conceded 3 so far. Aston Villa began their run against the top four teams from last season with a 0-1 win at Liverpool, but they have been beaten in their next 3 games by a combined 8-0 goal difference. After ending last season with 9 games without a win away from home in the Premier League, including losing the last 6 of those games, Aston Villa won both opening away games in the League this season before the 3-0 loss at

Athletic Bilbao coach Ernesto Valverde has reaffirmed that his team's priority remains the Primera Division, insisting that he will not be thinking about Champions League commitments when his side host Celta Vigo.Athletic have endured their worst ever start to a league season this term, sitting 18th in the table after taking just four points from their seven games.Things are not going swimmingly for the Basques in Europe, either - they sit bottom of their Champions League group and face a tough game with FC Porto on Tuesday, but Valverde ruled out resting any of his players in preparation for the trip to Portugal. Goalkeeper Gorka Iraizoz is expected to recover from a fever that caused him to miss training during the week, while Iker Muniain faces a struggle to return to action after injuring his shoulder while on international duty with Spain's under-21 side. Whether Lucho thinks it is necessary to instill that in his players at this point in the season is up to him. But it’s something that needs to be addressed before injuries start to make Lucho’s choices for him. Piqué’s lack of confidence against Athletic Bilbao was smellier than a rotting gazelle on the Serengeti, and any poacher of a forward worth his mettle will put as much pressure as possible on the out-of-form defender. Deportivo La Coruna vs Valencia

Last away matches - L-L-W-L-L-L
One of Spain’s most famous clubs did well to return to the elite division after spending just one year in Segunda, but it appears they could be back to the second tier in no time. The club management have reinforced the squad over the summer despite operating on a tight budget, but things haven’t gone as planned. While Deportivo recovered well from the poor start to beat Eibar on the road, they have been pretty disappointing ever since, suffering four straight defeats and conceding 15 goals in the process. This has seen them slip to rock bottom in the La Liga standings and no doubt the current league position will place extra pressure on what is not too experienced squad, at least by La Liga standards. La Coruna’s inability to match Spain’s top sides were evident in 8-2 loss to Real Madrid and 4-1 defeat to Sevilla, with los Rojiblancos also missing a penalty in the process. This is enough to suggest Deportivo could face all sorts of problems when they face Valencia, a team that are clearly on top of their game at the moment.
Away - Valencia
Last away matches - D-W-D-L-W-L
Valencia are clearly enjoying one of the most successful seasons in recent history, with the team seriously exceeding all expectations in the opening exchanges. The new feel-good factor linked with the heavy investment in the playing squad has helped new boss Nuno Espirito Santo and his players, with los Che yet to suffer the first setback of the season. While holding Sevilla and Real Sociedad to 1-1 draws on the road, Valencia have won the remaining five league fixtures, with 3-1 triumph over holders Atletico Madrid arguably the best result so far. It was quite impressive to watch los Che completely outclass one of Europe’s top sides and seeing as how the players are brimming with confidence at the moment, rock-bottom Deportivo La Coruna are unlikely to cause them too many problems. Valencia won the only away fixture against a bottom-table side, hammering Getafe 3-0, and that should give us a clear idea as to what to expect from the match in Galicia, especially given that los Che have won six and drawn two of last eight matches at Riazor.

Despite losing on the final day of last season, Elche survived the league campaign by finishing one point above the relegation zone, and everything suggests los Ilicitanos are in for another very difficult campaign. While seeing a number of important players leave in the summer, the club seem to have failed to recruit proper replacements, and it is fair to say nobody was surprised by their poor start to the season. Oddly enough, Elche have done pretty well on the road, beating Rayo Vallecano and sharing spoils with Almeria while losing to El Clasico rivals, but their home performances leave a lot to be desired. Los Ilicitanos were beaten at home by both Eibar and Celta Vigo while playing out a 1-1 draw with Granada, and having largely disappointed when facing bottom-table sides, they have little to hope for ahead of the clash with very good Sevilla. And with several important players missing for the hosts, Elche could be in for yet another defeat in front of the home fans.

While taking four points from first two EL group games, Sevilla impressed to take 16 points from seven league fixtures, climbing to third place in the process. And while many believed the 4-0 loss to reigning champions Atletico Madrid would be difficult to accept, the team produced a perfect response having hammered Deportivo La Coruna 4-1 last time out. Roma’s rise to the top has once again been based on a veteran, but extremely solid, defence. Aside from the 3-2 defeat at Juventus, Roma have conceded just one goal in six games, and the experienced, still truly world-class defender, Ashley Cole has settled in absolutely seamlessly to the Roma backline. There is a real Premier League feel to their line-up, with Cole joined by other former Premier League players in the shape of Yanga-Mbiwa, Maicon and Gervinho. Italian goalkeeper Morgan de Sanctis is the favored player having featured in six of the seven Serie A fixtures they have played in. The club have only conceded four goals so far which is only one more than champions Juventus. Young striker Mattia Destro seems to be starting the season with great form having now scored three goals so far, although Carlos Tevez is leading the goals race having scored double.

Bayern warmed up for this tricky looking tie by walloping Werder Bremen at home, and the bad news for the home side is that Franck Ribery is back in the Bayern team and apparently firing on all cylinders. A front four of Ribery, Robben, Muller and Lewandowski looks pretty intimidating, and there is no doubt that Bayern have the quality to win the entire competition once more this season. It comes as no surprise that Manuel Neuer is the number one goalkeeper with him also earning that same title when comparing him to the worlds best. Pepe Reina is still waiting to play his first game for the club since signing from Liverpool, which seems like such a wasted talent to sit and warm a bench. AS Monaco have completely reversed their slow start to the season that saw them lose 3 of their first 5 competitive matches, all of which came in the French Ligue 1. But their first match in Group C of the Champions League marked a change in their form, as they utilized a 1:0 home victory over Bayer Leverkusen to ignite their play. Now, they have won 4 times, drawn twice, and lost just once in their last 7 contests, a stretch that included impressive road draws with both Zenit St. Petersburg and Paris Saint-Germain. While the offensive side of the ball remains a real question mark for Monaco since the sales of Colombian duo Radamel Falcao and James Rodriguez, they have begun to find the fine defensive form that helped them to a 2nd place finish last season in Ligue 1. They have now conceded just 2 goals in their last 7 matches in all competitions, and if Dimitar Berbatov, who has managed to score just twice in 12 contests, can find his scoring boots, the Red and Whites could be enjoying an extended run in this season’s Champions League competition. Of course, the Bulgarian has picked up an ankle injury and will miss out for this match, and the recently-returned Lacina Traore will likely lead the line.

Last away matches - W-L-W-W-W-L
Benfica Lisbon picked up where they left off from last season in their domestic exploits, opening their campaign with 9 straight unbeaten while managing to claim victory on 8 of those occasions. 22 goals through that stretch will have manager Jorge Jesus delighted with the form of his attacking players, especially that of Eduardo Salvio, Nicolas Gaitan, and impressive Brazilian youngster Talisca. However, their European involvement hasn’t been so successful, as the Portuguese club fell to defeat in both of their opening matches and now find themselves in last place of Group C at 4 points adrift the leaders and this week’s opponent, Monaco. This match will hold critical implications on Benfica’s chances to advance to the knockout round, and while they will take encouragement from their domestic form, the majority of the competition in Europe is far stronger than that of the Primeira Liga. Nevertheless, Jorge Jesus knows that there are still 4 matches remaining, 2 of which are at home, and he very well could be content taking a point on the road against the current table-toppers.

They surely want to compete for a title, if not in the Liga BBVA, than in some other competition. That is why the Champions League game with Malmo is very important to them.Atleti have very right to hope for a good result in this game as their players are way much better than Malmo’s. Anderlecht have only managed two points in eight Champions League games. And they have not won in eight Champions League matches and Arsenal will need to win both home and away if they are to avoid finishing second for the four consecutive season. They will probably compete with Galatasaray for the Europa League spot. Both sides have 1 point each, which they got from their game in the opening round. This Wednesday, Anderlecht play against Arsenal and grabbing at least a point in this clash would get them a step closer to the Champions League.

AS Monaco vs Benfica
Home - AS Monaco
Last away matches - D-D-W-L-W-L
Away - Benfica

Atletico, who were beaten in last season's final by Real Madrid, opened their campaign with a surprise defeat at Olympiacos, but recorded a 1-0 win over Italian champions Juventus last time out. Atletico Madrid are the reigning team of the Primera, but it seems they’ll find hard time to keep the title this season as the competition is fierce. They surely want to compete for a title, if not in the Liga BBVA, than in some other competition. That is why the Champions League game with Malmo is very important to them.Atleti have very right to hope for a good result in this game as their players are way much better than Malmo’s. They proved their quality by beating the Italian heavyweights Juventus in the previous round.

Malmo, meanwhile, have also taken three points from their first two matches, with their 2-0 win over Olympiacos earlier this month their first victory in the group stages of a UEFA competition. Malmo are dominating the Swedish Allsvenskan, where they are topping the table with confidence. They can relax as they’ll probably win that competition again. But, their ambitions are higher – Malmo wants to get at least on the 3rd spot in the Champions League. Through two matches, Bayer has won once and lost once. The German outfit lost 1-0 away to Monaco, but then responded by beating Benfica 3-1 at home in the second playday. Domestically, Leverkusen has gone unbeaten over four consecutive matches, though three of those encounters have ended in draws. In the Bundesliga table, Bayer can currently be found in sixth place, only one point back of the top four.Leverkusen was last in action on October 18th in a 3-3 draw against Stuttgart. Heung-Min Son scored twice and set up Karim Bellarabi for the other in an all-around stellar performance. Along with Son and Bellarabi, who have eight league goals between them so far, Stefan Kiessling is another player to watch come Wednesday. If those three are on form, it's going to be hard for anyone to beat them, especially on in their own stadium.

Currently on top of Group C, Zenit know how important Wednesday's trip to Leverkusen will be. The Russian side has picked up four points through two fixtures, beating Benfica 2-0 away and then holding Monaco in a 0-0 away draw.On the domestic front, Zenit is enjoying another splendid showing. They're tops of the table, two points clear of CSKA Moscow at time of writing. That being said, Hulk and company had to settle for a 2-2 draw in their latest league meeting against Krasnodar. After going down 2-0 in the first half, Zenit was able to fight back, with Hulk and Javi Garcia both getting their names on the scoresheet.Despite only getting a point, Zenit has been on an incredible run, having gone unbeaten in 16 consecutive matches. They haven't tasted defeat in months, so you know they'll be motivated to keep that streak going this Wednesday.

So the turks are in danger of falling short to Galatasaray’s target of reaching the Champions League round of last sixteen after the 4-1 away defeat against Arsenal. Before that, Galatasaray were held to a 1-1 draw at home by Belgian club Anderlecht in the opening group game. Last away matches - W-L-L-W-L-L
Liverpool have struggled in the early portions of their 2014/2015 campaign, but they seem to finally be getting their foot in the door with back to back Premiere League wins. Their last Champions League match resulted in a 1-0 loss to FC Basel (whom Real Madrid trounced 5-1). A very important issue for Liverpool will be the absence of Daniel Sturridge. The British forward is said to be out for up to two weeks with a calf injury. This is very grim news for the Reds, as they will require a strong offensive presence to maintain any hopes at taking points from Wednesday’s match. So far, Mario Balotelli has been nothing but a very expensive disappointment for Liverpool. The Italian striker’s bleak form has not improved since his first appearance; he is showing zero goals in six Premiere League appearances for Liverpool. In the absence of Sturridge, Balotelli must find some sort of confidence and connect with the Red’s young gun, Raheem Sterling, for their squad to take even a single point from this match.

Real Madrid have not lost in eight games and Cristiano Ronaldo is already setting goal-scoring records in La Liga. Madrid are at the top of Group B with six points, while Liverpool are tied for second place with FC Basel. Gareth Bale has been left out of Wednesday’s squad with buttock injury. This will be a blow to Real Madrid, but their bench is so deep with talent that it most certainly will not be a crushing blow. Ronaldo has surprisingly never scored at Anfield, but when taking note of his unabated goal-scoring form of late, Wednesday could prove to be yet another hurdle conquered by the Portuguese phenom. The key to Madrid taking the three points in this match is to get Liverpool on their heels early. They must make things hectic for the Liverpool defense and not let them sit back with any comfortab

Out of the squad, new keeper Marc-André ter Stegen, Douglas, Sandro, Pedro, Marc Bartra, Martín Montoya and Gerard Piqué arguably have the most to gain from added minutes. By the same token, a rusty Adriano and Montoya could prove shaky cover for Jordi Alba at left back once his swashbuckling tendencies inevitably get him a hamstring injury.

Many experts are expecting them to make better, however, they are very inconsistent in the new season. True, they still have a great defense; however, they are very inefficient in the attack. The ext match against Wolfsburg ended with the same score. After a good start of the season in the league, they are in a small crisis and lost two consecutive league meetings. Accordingly, the team coached by Vincenzo Montella sets course for the round of the UEFA Europa League. In the Italian Serie A start to the season, however, was far from satisfactory. Florence is located only new points at position 9 in the table. The residue on the winners Juventus is already ten points. On the final day the Fiorentina lost at home as a complete surprise with 0:2 against Lazio. Consequently, the team is not traveling in the best mood to Thessaloniki. In addition, with Mario Gomez and Giuseppe Rossi turn key employees. Therefore, the chances of an away win are not very good. Against Feyenoord Rotterdam had to get with 1:2 beaten. Next Thursday is now the third matchday of the program. In this framework, Standard Liege receives the Sevilla FC. Especially for the Belgian representative is a landmark game. In a victory you have in terms of progressing further any chances. However, if there is a loss, then the situation would be quite hopeless. Ironically, before this important European game, coach Guy Luzon has resigned. The reason for the resignation were the weak results in the Belgian league. Standard Liege is located only at position 11 and has already eleven points behind the league leaders RSC Anderlecht. On Thursday Ivan Vukomanović is as an interim coach on the bench. The players want to show a reaction. In addition, everyone is aware of the club that almost a must win against Sevilla ago. This may not be the optimum yield, but still you can be happy, also because of the equalizer against HNK Rijeka only succeeded in injury time. On Thursday, the reigning European League winners must compete at Standard Liege. With a win, the team could very well push open the door. The Andalusians tear with a lot of confidence to Belgium. Recently celebrated the team against Deportivo La Coruña (4:1) and the FC Elche (2:0) in each case a clear victory. In addition, the Sevilla FC in the Primera Division is after eight games at position 2 in the table. So the team of coach Unai Emery is currently the first followers of FC Barcelona. Seville has to absorb the Abgäng the player Ivan Rakitić, Alberto Moreno and Federico Fazio very good. The main reason is that the new additions Grzegorz Krychowiak, Aleix Vidal, Nicolás Pareja, Daniel Carriço and Benoît Trémoulinas have taken. For me, the Andalusians are also in this season a hot contender to win the Europa League. Since Sevilla has a lot of quality in attack, you have to expect one or the other goal. Out of the squad, new keeper Marc-André ter Stegen, Douglas, Sandro, Pedro, Marc Bartra, Martín Montoya and Gerard Piqué arguably have the most to gain from added minutes. By the same token, a rusty Adriano and Montoya could prove shaky cover for Jordi Alba at left back once his swashbuckling tendencies inevitably get him a hamstring injury.

With a Cyprus Supercup and two victories in the first two rounds of the Cypriot Championship in the back pocket, APOEL is off to a usual good start. And considering manager Giorgos Donis made off with a league and cup double last season, he certainly knows how to get the better of his opponents.Defensive veteran John Arne-Riise is perhaps the most recognizable name in the Cyprus squad, but his fitness will prevent him from taking the field. Greek central defender Anastasios Papazoglou has just returned from injury and will bolster the back line tasked with marking Barcelona’s pesky strikers.

Manuel Pellegrini will be banned from the touchline on Wednesday following comments he made in the wake of their Champions League exit to Barcelona last season. Pablo Zabaleta is also suspended, which will see the vastly experienced figure of Bacary Sagna charged with the unenviable task of marking Franck Ribery. I’m certain that Pellegrini will opt for one striker up front, considering the talent at Munich’s disposal. Fernandinho and Toure will offer a muscular force in midfield, while Pellegrini would be wise to utilise the electrifying pace of Navas on the counterattacks.

There have been a lot of talk about what is wrong with Liverpool after their comprehensive home defeat to Real Madrid in the Champions League. Guy Poyet has no new injuries to contend with for what looks like a difficult fixture against Arsenal, but nevertheless he has a selection dilemma. His side conceded 8 goals in an embarrassing display at Southampton last time out, and he must decide if he wants to trust the same group of players this weekend, or make an example of some by making radical changes to his side. I feel it is more likely that he will opt for the former option both because the Uruguayan has not got the largest squad to work with, and also the players who performed so poorly against the Saints have done relatively well in the previous 7 games, conceding only 7 goals in that time. The nature of the defeat will possibly mean a recall for Adam Johnson and Jack Rodwell to his midfield, both of which were introduced off the bench in the blowout. Whatever the lineup, he will want to put in an impressive performance against the Gunners in front of a home crowd, and silence their critics by so doing. The Wearsiders are unbeaten so far at home this season and if they can extend that record past this weekend they will feel they have weathered the storm.

Arsene Wenger has several players nearing a return to active duty with Theo Walcott key among them. The highly anticipated return of the speedy England international is only enhanced by the injury in the last match to Mesut Ozil and the absence through suspension of Jack Wilshire. He is unlikely to start the game, but Arsene Wenger will hope to be able to introduce him as a substitute at some point. Against what should be a tiring Black Cats defence, his appearance as a second half substitute could be key to Arsenal’s chances of getting the win. Ozil and Wilshire will most likely be replaced in the four behind Danny Welbeck by Alex Oxlade Chamberlain and Santi Cazorla. Welshman Aaron Ramsey will return to the starting lineup after being named for the past 2 league games on the bench, following his return from a hamstring injury. In defence, Laurent Koscielny is the most recent Arsenal defender to go down with an injury. He will be replaced in the centre of defence by Callum Chambers who returns from a suspension that forced his absence against Hull.

Swansea City come into this game after a disappointing 2-1 defeat away to Stoke City last weekend, with much controversy over Stoke’s penalty it seems as if Gary Monk is unable to get over the decision that saw Victor Moses awarded a penalty for what seemed to be a dive. After starting the season so well, Swansea have declined and have only managed to pick up one win in their last 5 games. A win on Saturday would put Madrid within a point of league leaders Barca and could be a pivotal game in the season which gives them the extra momentum they require to go on and lift the La Liga trophy come next May.

Barcelona welcomed a trip from Ajax in midweek and comfortably beat the dutch side 3-1. Barca are top of the La Liga and currently hold a four point gap over Real Madrid who are in 3rd place, if Barca are victorious they have the chance to extend their lead to 7 points. With the addition of Luis Suarez (who is at last available after his four month suspension) Barcelona will have even more firepower up front as Neymar and Messi have already netted 19 goals between themselves this season, 15 of which came in the La Liga.

Out of the squad, new keeper Marc-André ter Stegen, Douglas, Sandro, Pedro, Marc Bartra, Martín Montoya and Gerard Piqué arguably have the most to gain from added minutes. By the same token, a rusty Adriano and Montoya could prove shaky cover for Jordi Alba at left back once his swashbuckling tendencies inevitably get him a hamstring injury.

Queens Park Rangers vs Aston Villa
Home - Queens Park Rangers
Last away matches - L-L-L-L-L-W
Queens Park Rangers are really struggling this season, currently they sit on the bottom of the English Premier League table. “I’m still confident we will be fine this season,” said manager Harry Redknapp. Indeed, there can be found some positive signs, for example last home game against Liverpool (2:3 loss) in which Harry Redknapp’s men played really well but were simply unfortunate. “I’ve been pleased with our home form. We were excellent against Liverpool and we’ll need another performance like that again against Villa on Monday. The quality and the spirit we showed on Sunday was excellent from the first minute. The fans were bouncing, Loftus Road was loud – and we need that again on Monday under the lights,” said Redknapp. He expects tough match on Monday: “This is a tough league – there are no easy games – and Villa will come to Loftus Road looking to win the game. They’re quick, good on the counter and will be tough to play. But we’re at home and I’ve been pleased with our form and I’m confident in this group of players.” Joey Barton and Jordon Mutch remain sidelined with harmstring injuries, Abel Taarabt is ill and he also won’t feature in this encounter. Nedum Onuoha and Sandro are doubts.
Away - Aston Villa
Last away matches - L-L-W-W-W-L
Aston Villa had good start to the season, but recently they suffered from 4 consecutive defeats without scoring a single goal. Team played especially poorly last week, against Everton (0:3 loss). “That's the first game I have come away thinking 'We absolutely deserved nothing.' We never started the game right,” said manager Paul Lambert. However, he is optimistic about the upcoming clash against QPR: “This week has been really good. Training has been really positive. I think the lads know they never performed against Everton. We're going to have to go and earn the right at Loftus Road on Monday. It's a tough place. It's a difficult game but we're looking forward to it. The response has been really good this week. We'll be ready for it.” Philippe Senderos and Nathan Baker remain as doubts for this game. Good news is that Ron Vlaar and Christian Benteke are back. “It's good to have Ron back because his presence is big. He's the captain of the club. With Christian, he needs a bit more time because of the amount of months he has been off. But to get those two back was a big bonus for us,” said Lambert.

The host of Darmstadt had an unexpectedly good season opener and accordingly they are all the time in the upper half of the table. Lately they have but with the game form slowly. The current losing streak is three games, but there is still no reason for concern. Home advantage is the main weapon of Darmstadt, who were undefeated until the last home game. Away they were defeated only once, but the other four away games, they have not even won, but played only a draw. All this shows us how strong they are home, but the first warning was clear with the 1:4 home defeat. On the final day they were close to first away win of the current season, but have the hosts from Bochum in the final minute equalizer for final 1:1 achieved. A similar course of the game they had before three rounds in Berlin, which shows us how inexperienced they are. Her coach Schuster has changed little in the first team for three rounds and what the best news for him is surely the return of defender Balogun.

Nuremberg had big problems at the beginning of the season, but it looks like they were slowly overcome. Twice they fell into negative series of three defeats in a row, but after the second negative series was the 3:2 win against FCK and apparently, this game was the turning point for the better. Then they have a remarkable one in Bochum. Against the very strong Leipziger they did not have it easy, but just like against the FCK has her Schopf midfielder played the decisive role. Your trainer Ismael has not changed in the last three league games in the first team. In the course of this week Bihr and Sylvestr had some problems, but it looks like they will be able to play. Inter Milan aren’t doing particularly well. Now team is on 8th place, their ambitions are obviously much higher. There is now a big mess in the club. Some people want coach Walter Mazzarri to be sacked, some support him. Money are big problem as Inter would have to pay him 10 mln euro if they decide to terminate contract. Recently Erick Thohir, Inter’s president, spoke about whole situation: “I trust Mazzarri and his work. Last season we wanted to finish on European spots and we did that. We must analyze whole situation. We want to give him another chance, there are many rumours now. Next two games, Wednesday’s clash against Sampdoria and Satursday’s match in Parma will decide about his future.” He also spoke about aims for this season: “We aim for top 4 finish, but it’s not impossible to end season on 3rd spot and qualify to the Champions League.” That’s what he said around 2 days ago. However yesterday Thohir spoke again: “I want to repeat once again that I believe in Mazzarri, this team, whole project, in 100%. Of course results are important, but we won’t be making any decisions based on results of single games. Apparently some of my words were misinterpreted.

The class difference between the sides from the first half of the table and the ones below them is really big and despite that the we saw just eight rounds being gone, this difference is already more than obvious and as it looks like there will be around eight clubs that will be fighting for the top places. And the fact that Cagliari is currently on thirteenth place in the ranks, they are with a whole four defeats after those first eight matches and the fact that despite having lost half of their matches and being able to collect just eight points in those meetings (2-2-4), they are still closer than the middle of the table than in the relegation zone is enough prove of the fact that right now the difference between the top clubs and the rest of the field is more than big and even way playing at home, those sides from the bottom half of the table still should not have much chances.

Milan once again did not spend even a cent for new additions, but in the same time they had managed to get some new players, that are more than good in quality addition, having in mind that they brought them for almost no money at all. And their season so far is more than good, having in mind that for sure they should be fighting for nothing more than a place around the Europa League matches, but so far it looks like the new additions and the new style of play that Indzaghi practice are looking good. After the first eight rounds have been gone, Milan had lost just one single time, having managed to win a whole four times in those meetings and with the fifteen points collected so far in those matches (4-3-1), despite being on sixth place in the ranks.

The popular violas play on two fronts and have passed a series of seven games without defeat recently, but after they have passed a very bad championship game against Lazio. As part of the Europe League on the other hand they are playing well and with maximum nine points from three games already further in the next round. Last weekend they have the championship match away at Milan played much more relaxed and have a 1:1 draw. Now we expect that they will do something concrete at home to Udinese and with the aim to bring the three very important points in Serie A. In this way, the proteges of coach Montella would namely be back in the top half of the table, where they actually are, objectively speaking. As for the squad, we believe that it will remain unchanged compared to the game against Milan. Not here are the injured midfielder Fernandez and Pizarro and striker Rossi and Gomez, while the suspended central defender Rodriguez can not play.

Away on the other hand they are not as successful and have picked up just three points in the three games stored until now. All these results are particularly valuable when one considers that they have started the current season with a rejuvenated squad. The squad is led by veteran Di Natale, while the young Andrea Stramaccioni on the bench instead Guidolino. He has changed the starting lineup equal to 4-3-2-1 and it works very well until now. So there is something to change in this duel against Florence no reason. Not here are the injured goa

Deportivo would love to pick up a win in front of their home faithful after struggling to adapt to life in the top-flight since being promoted last season. They are languishing down in 16th place in the league table after winning two, drawing two and losing five of their games so far, although there have been signs of life in recent weeks as Depor stunned Valencia 3-0 in their last home match before drawing 0-0 at Espanyol.Victor Fernandez's men are 6/5 for the win with Bet Victor after ended a four-match losing run with victory over Valencia at the Riazor and they will be confident of overcoming a Getafe side who start the weekend in 12th place in the league table. The Deep Blues have won three, drawn one and lost five of their league outings and they are 14/5 to win Friday's match, while they are 23/10 to draw.It is difficult to make a convincing case for either team but Getafe's away form must be something of a concern as they are yet to keep a clean sheet on the road. Cosmin Contra's side have won one and lost three of their four away games and it is worth noting that they have conceded the first goal in all four of those matches.
Away - Getafe
Last away matches - W-L-L-L-D-L
Getafe have conceded the first goal in 78% of their fixtures this season and Deportivo look good value to score the first goal at 3/4 with Ladbrokes. Depor's games have tended to produce goals as 67% have involved over 2.5 goals, while their home matches are averaging 4.5 goals per game! Those statistics are slightly skewed by the fact they lost 8-2 at home to Real Madrid last month but it does highlight how flimsy their defence can be as they have conceded 19 goals already. Fernandez will hope to shore his team up a bit but they must maintain some sort of an attacking threat and Isaac Cuenca, who is 15/2 to score first with SkyBet, will need to add to his tally of two goals for the season quickly. They take on a Getafe side who were a touch unlucky in losing 1-0 to Atletico Madrid last time out. They had to play much of that game with ten men and the result was their first defeat in four league outings. The Deep Blues will be confident of getting a positive result out of this trip to the Riazor though as they have only lost one of their last seven against Depor and a statistical quirk shows that the last four meetings between these sides have produced five penalties.
