Tottenham Hotspur vs Manchester City Betting Preview

embeded-image

The Champions League Quarter Finals are here and we have two English sides going up against each other as Tottenham host Manchester City in the 1st leg at their new stadium!

So far the road to the Quarters has been tough for Spurs. They overcame Inter and PSV to finish 2nd in the group despite falling 6 pts behind early in the stages and then knocked off Germans 2nd best team in Dortmund 4-0 on aggregate which was very impressive. Tottenham’s European form is currently very good as they won 4 of last 5 in CL (1D).

Man City’s road has been more straight forward. They topped the group that involved Lyon, Shakhtar and Hoffenheim and then battered Schalke 10-2 on aggregate which included a ridiculous 7-0 win at the Etihad. City have looked great in Europe all season other than their meetings with Lyon in the groups they won every other games and have a total 26 goals in the 8 Champions League games.

That Aguero penalty was so poor especially for his quality

Very surprised to see Spurs take the lead and keep a clean sheet. Still expect City to turn this around but that 2nd leg has gotten VERY interesting

UCL 2018-19 – Ajax vs Juventus Betting Preview

embeded-image

Surprise package of the season Ajax host Juventus in the Champions League Quarter Final 1st leg!

To begin with the hosts, Ajax have had quite a ride in the competition so far. Ajax initially had to go through 3 qualifying rounds, then they advanced from the group stages edging Benfica and AEK for a 2nd spot finishing behind Bayern, but most impressively Ajax reached the Quarters by knocking out 3x defending Champions Real Madrid as they overcame a 2-1 deficit with one of the most famous wins ever at the Bernabeu 1-4 to win 5-3 on aggregate! Ajax have been one of the most exciting teams in the competition so far for sure.

Juventus have also had quite a crazy comeback themselves. Firstly they won their group over Man Utd, Valencia and Young Boys, but in R16 was when their character was fully tested as they had to overcome a 0-2 deficit against Atletico which they did with a 3-0 win thanks to a ridiculous performance by Cristiano Ronaldo who bagged a hattrick in the 2nd leg.

UCL 2018-19 – Manchester United vs Barcelona Betting Preview

embeded-image

Two European giants face off as Man Utd host Barcelona in a much anticipated Champions League Quarter Final 1st leg tie at Old Trafford!

It’s been a crazy road so far in Europe for Man Utd who have had one of the most historic turnaround wins in competitions history already. So far United have edged Valencia and Young Boys in the group stages for 2nd place finishing below Juventus and then in the R16 after losing the 1st leg 0-2 at home, United became the first team to win a Champions League tie after losing the 1st leg 0-2 at home as they overcame the deficit and beat PSG 1-3 and went through on away goals despite being depleted missing key players in that game.

Barcelona have had a more straight forward road so far in UCL. They topped the group that involved Tottenham, Inter and PSV comfortably and then beat Lyon 5-1 on aggregate as they thumped them 5-1 at Nou Camp in the 2nd leg after a 0-0 draw in France.

Daley Blind was the only outfield Ajax player that did *not* have a shot vs. Juventus:

7 x Ziyech
3 x Veltman
2 x Scöne
1 x Ekkelenkamp
1 x Van de Beek
1 x Tagliafico
1 x De Jong
1 x De Ligt
1 x Neres
1 x Tadić

Very unlucky today not to win

Ajax are a special special young team, I just hope they don't all leave to bigger clubs because man it's beautiful to watch what they're doing. I hope they win it all

UCL 2018-19 Semi Final 1st Leg – Tottenham Hotspur vs Ajax Betting Preview

embeded-image

The Champions League Semis are here and we have two of the biggest surprise teams face off in the 1st leg as Tottenham host Ajax!

Neither team were expected to be here but here we are as both Spurs and Ajax have knocked off some serious European giants on their way to the Semis.

To begin, Spurs were at one point facing elimination in the Group Stages, but late hit in form and 7 pts from final 9 earned them a 2nd spot over Inter and PSV, but below Barca which then caused them to face Dortmund who they beat 4-0 on aggregate and then Spurs faced then the favourites in Manchester City who they knocked off on away goals 4-4 after thrilling 2nd leg fixture where they lost 4-3 on the day but advanced on away goals despite falling behind at one point. This is Tottenham’s tied best ever Champions League run as they’ve reached the Semis for the first time since 1962.

Another big away win for Ajax. Now won in Madrid, Juventus and Tottenham while also drawing in Munich against Bayern. What a team, they're surely in the Final now don't see them bottling it at home

They playing brilliantly and what I like the most about this Ajax team that they are not afraid to attack. Feels like they are playing without pressure at all and this gives them a result.

What impressed me even more is their composure at the back when Spurs started to control the game. Ajax did a sensational job to hold on to that 0-1 lead when they got pressed throughout the whole 2nd half
