Janis Blums joins Zaragoza

Blums, who spent the previous season with VEF Riga, has inked a deal with Spanish side Zaragoza for the following season.

The 35-year-old veteran has plenty of European experience in teams like Avellino, Panathinaikos, Bilbao, Lietuvos Rytas and Ventspils.

He’s also a regular in the Latvian national team for over a decade.

Jaka Lakovic is taking a new step in his career and becomes a head coach for the first time.

After parting ways with Veljko Mrsic, Bilbao announced that Jaka Lakovic, the team’s former assistant coach, will lead the Basques in the head coach position.

Valencia - Barcelona

Both teams clearly are in better shape before their meetings at Euroleague's game and previous ACB games. Valencia finally are ahead of the injuries which was one of the main reason of their poor performance in first part of season. Barcelona also are better and now are very dangerous team against anyone in the league. I think that finally we could see a game between with 170+ points just need to be better at 3 points percentage and that's it. There is nothing more to say I have my own strategy and this match and situaton fits for it.

I agree with this pick because injury free Valencia is very dangerous especially at home and Barcelona loves to play fast, perfect combination to see 80+ from both teams.

Barcelona - Baskonia

One of the Top teams of Spain ACB league fighting for the advance to the final. First two matches finished with unders based on the closed betting lines. First match ended 86-61 because of the Barcelona very poor play and this not shown the real capacity between these two teams. Second match were much better and the Baskonia won 86-78 but because of 4th quarter (32 points) the total points (165) were undered. There was a big opportunity to foul Baskonia players when there was 16 seconds left but unfortunately the Barcelona players thought different and they let the game finished.
Today match moves in Palau Blaugrana with Baskonia 2-0 ahead. Barcelona should do everything in this game because if they will lost it the series with end here too. I expect a lot of fouls and a little bit help from referees for Barca and of course they should play better overall. I think this series under trends will end today and we will see game around with 170 points.
