Hello
Just letting you know we need to do something about all the sitouts at doyles room freerolls.
Everyone eligible (signed up or forum upgraded) is pre-approved.
If you got any ideas please come forward.
There's 2 possibilities either doyles room gives out tickets to the accounts eligible and players need to register themself or we need to clean out the list ourself.
Thanks
Thanks
if that is an option
that should work just fine

You could penalize a member who sits out - say the next Doyles game or next freeroll as a penalty. This would then give you the power to control what is happening, instead of relying on the member to unregister.

The problem is getting just as bad/big in the FullTiltPoker game also.
Ticketing would be great. They can do it for the Sunday Grand, why not private games as well? RedStarPoker -- also Cake network -- tickets the majority the private freerolls there. Maybe you just need to twist their arms a little...or a little harder. . .
Lacking ticketing, it seems like a system is needed to track persistent sitouts and remove them from the submitted list. If they don't want to play there's plenty of people banging the doors to be let in. . .

Should I be sanctioned because I was forced to be a sit out? I think that would be a bit harsh. Some things I can't control. Now if it is a case where a player never attends the freeroll perhaps there name should be removed from the list and they can petition the admin for the privilage of being reregistered.
I started a thread in these forums when the no password started, about the inability to unregister from these events on fulltilt, and it got very little response.
The sit outs are really not that much of an inconvenience. I not sure what, if any, effect they are having on your individual game play. They automatically lose on Doyles once they are all-in. So its not like Fulltilt where they are not labled "sitting out".
If a forum member does not wish to participate in these events I'm quite certain they can voluntarily petition the admin to remove them from the roster.
I, unfortunately, was unable to play the Doyles freeroll last weekend. I was unable to unregister also. I was unable to do anything as the county cut off my internet access when they accidently dug up my utility line at the street and I had to wait untill Monday for them to repair it. So I lost several buy-ins as well for tourneys I was registered in for the weekend. Almost a tenth of my bankroll!

I don't think we're talking about the occasional missed game, Tall, we're talking about the habitual sitouts. We're getting around half the field missing on DoylesRoom and FullTiltPoker on a weekly basis. [And on DoylesRoom this is even after the time as changed so MORE people would be able to make it.] Until some kind of sitout tracking is implemented we can't be sure if this is a random set of people each week or if these are the same people each week. . .
Most forums want the players they're allowing into their games to PLAY, not just take up space. And I have yet to see anyone, publically at least, ask to be removed from the game. Why should they? If things just happen to go the right way for them they may just squeeze into the money with having to exert zero effort. . .

Still beats a 1000 entries and 250 sitouts, password thieves and all-in maniacs, and if a fellow active member sneaks itm as a sitout better him than a password thief winning the tourney.
Doyles does not offer a ticketing system as they need to go through Cake to get the games listed. Doyles will enter names you send and can remove them if asked, it is also possible for players to unregister if they can not make it.

good idea for u nfi but if you could unreg. that might help a little also know we use a list here and maybe if you open reg up 1 hour before with the ticket system u might not get so many sitouts i think alot of people might get busy and forget that they are prereg. i like the new time and will be there everytime to play look forward to it .
and ps i know what N F I stands for lmao. glad to see ya here m8
Just want to say sorry to the other members of Ixgames as I am one of the people sitting out. If I could unregister I would. I am on a 3 month job that is keeping me busy 7 days a week so I have no time for poker. I will be back come March but I do feel bad sitting out. Nothing worse then sitting down at a table and noticing that half or more are not there.
Keith. . .to the best of my memory -- at the office so can't confirm right now -- you CAN unregister from the games on DoylesRoom. It should be able to be done from either the tournament lobby or the "My Tournaments" window. . .
You CANNOT unregister from the game at FullTiltPoker at this time. I believe have seen pre-registered tournaments unregister buttons for other games; do not know why there is not one for this game. . .
I would suggest that ixgames look into setting up registration for the FTP games via a registration link in the tournament lobby -- the same way the OFC does it -- instead of just telling FTP to add everyone on the submitted list. [The same link would let you unregister if you find out you can't be there that week.] That way it would still would be a restricted tournament, but if someone did forget about it they would not been have registered and won't be seated at game time. And if they do register via the link, they can't say they didn't know they were registered eliminating one excuse for not being there.

So a person is automatically registered for tourneys on all sites they play?
and there is no easy way to unregister?
I've seen some of these freeroll times and I expect I will miss more than I make.
Its one thing to have to do something extra to register, however this sounds like extra work to unregister. Which is what i would call bassackwards.
Ok pardon me for not knowing how this works. Currenty i do not have access to freerolls.
