I don't play limit holdem much, so maybe i don't know the rules, but i was playin a freeroll on players only, and a few times i'd hit a big hand in position against a certain player. He would hit something also, but obviously he wanted to get the pot up but didn't want a raise. Anyway, the blinds were 20/40 i think, after the flop the bet was 40, and he would bet 39, allowing me to only call or raise to 40. Correct me if i'm wrong, but in limit he should of only been able to bet 40, right? This was very irritating, especially when the blinds got higher and I wanted to raise. Anyone have an explanation or seen this also?
Hey madjek, I played one of these -- by mistake, oh believe me, by mistake -- yesterday also. From what I remember about the available buttons it should not have been possible to bet odd amounts until a player was all-in. The buttons available would only let you bet or raise the appropriate limit amounts for those levels and that street. . .

Now, not being entirely familiar with the betting rules for limit HE -- one of the weak points of being an online-only player is that you don't really have to -- it is possible that since the player before you was all-in with his 39, and that would not represent a full bet, you may not be allowed to raise him. You can call for the full amount of a full bet, but only players after you could raise. . .

Was it Pot-limit or Limit. in pot limit you can bet up to full pot size making strange bets possible.
It was limit, I was in by accident also Steve, and no he wasn't allin. He did it a few times. I was going to report to Players Only, but I also don't know much about it and didn't want to look like a fool 😁.

If that is the case then you should report it and let them know. I'm playing one right now and not seeing anyway that odd amount bets could happen unless there's an all-in. . .

Not sure if it was a glitch but in limit games there is no slider bar, your only options are bet, check, and call so this should have been impossible. i have no idea how this could happen, it had to have been a pot limit game.
