Attention to all greek players and maybe others. There is a new offer from a site named "pokernews" that offers free without deposit 50 dollars if you register from them in partypoker. Its a totall SCAM.If you registered via them, they ask you to send them a photo with your ID and your face and then they give you nothing-Nada-not even a free dollar.
If you contanct with partypoker they say that pokernews.com is an affiliate site
and for the offer must contact with them.If you contact with pokernews.com they say that everything is OK(when everything is wrong and scam (yeah just like that) and you must contact with partypoker.
Both pokernews and partypoker know about the offer but they want from you to registered in partypoker and make a deposit when they say clearly in the offer that you dont need to make a deposit for this offer.
There are two possibilities.
1)they mislead you because they want you to registered. And after that even a small % of us make a deposit.(its a profit for them)
2)they want your id so they use it for criminal actions.
So becarefull.Partypoker knows about that and doesnt do anything to preserving their credibility. So that makes them accomplice in that SCAM-deception.
Be careful. If anyone thinks that im lying he can visit the pokernews and see that. Also my id is available to anyone.

Following on from news that Sam Trickett will no longer be representing Titan Poker, Marvin Rettenmaier has taken to Twitter to announce that the site is in fact parting ways with its pro team.

Rettenmaier tweeted:

“@titan_poker has decided to part ways with its Pro Team. I am very thankful for the opportunities and I had a great time representing them.”

The news comes three days after Trickett tweeted his departure from the team. The two originally signed with Titan Poker in March 2010.

PokerStars, the largest online poker room in the world, has declined to make any comment on news reports stating that it has acquired Full Tilt Poker, but has confirmed that it is in the process of holding talks with the Department of Justice (DoJ) of the United States of America (USA). PokerStars head (corporate communications) Eric Hollreiser said, “We’ve had a lot of enquiries and there’s lots of speculation on the forums, so I wanted to address the PokerStars chatter. As you know, PokerStars is in settlement discussions with the US Department of Justice. As such settlement discussions are always confidential, we are unable to comment on rumours. As soon as we have information to share publicly we will do so.”

The 2012 PokerStars Spring Championship of Online Poker came to a close with the running of three main events, one at each of the low, medium and high buy-in levels. The largest of all was the $10,300 buy-in, which attracted 517 entrants to build a massive $5.17 million prize pool.

The field was littered with the biggest names in the online MTT world, with many making deep runs including Jamie “TheCronic420” Rosen in 34th place ($28,435), Ben “NeverScaredB” Wilinofsky in 31st place ($28,435), and Andre Akkari in 16th ($41,360).

Nick “GripDsNutz” Grippo survived to three-handed play, where the remaining players agreed to a deal that evenly split the remaining $2.2 million in the prize pool, except for $80,000 that would be set aside for the eventual winner after the three played it out.

The new fast-paced Zoom Poker that has taken PokerStars by storm has officially exited Beta testing and been rolled out for many cash games on the site. Zoom Poker can now be enjoyed for Texas Hold'em, Omaha, Omaha Hi/Lo, and Five Card Draw.

Players who are accessing PokerStars from a mobile device will also be happy to learn that Zoom Poker can be played from an Android device with scrollable lobby menus, an improved search, and a new auto-rebuy function.

Zoom Poker was rolled out in Beta back in March and became an overnight sensation. The format allows players to enter a pool instead of a traditional one-table format. When a hand is dealt, a player can choose to remain in the hand or opt for an immediate "Fast Fold," which will move him to another table within the player pool instantaneously.

PokerStars has been selected as one of the UK's Best Workplaces by The Great Place to Work® Institute, the world's largest consultancy specialising in workplace assessment and enhancement. In order to establish the best workplaces, the Institute annually surveys employees and performs a cultural audit of some 5,500 organizations around the world representing 10 million employees. Companies are grouped and ranked in their respective countries on workplace values of credibility, respect, fairness, pride and camaraderie.

PokerStars employs approximately 1,200 people worldwide, of which half are based in UK offices in London and the Isle of Man. Among the key attributes that distinguish PokerStars are robust employee benefits and rewards, strong professional development opportunities and a diverse workforce.

"As a fast-growing company, attracting and retaining talented people is critical to our business, so we are dedicated to ensuring our employees are well supported, nurtured and rewarded," said Lynn Hunter, Director of HR at PokerStars. "This is the first time we've participated in the Great Place to Work survey, so it's especially gratifying to know that our efforts are contributing to the success of our business, and that employees consider PokerStars to be a Great Place to Work."

Tom O'Byrne, Chief Executive, Great Place to Work® commented: "This has been a particularly good year for the Best Workplaces list. The standard of entry has been particularly high so getting a place on the list is a significant achievement. We assess and select the best workplaces by examining how management create trust in the workplace through various policies, practices and initiatives. But the real measure of whether an organisation is a great place to work is whether employees say it is."

PokerStars is the world's largest and most popular poker site, with more than 49 million registered members worldwide and over 80 billion hands dealt since the site launched in 2001. PokerStars is widely credited with creating the online poker boom after Chris Moneymaker won a satellite tournament on PokerStars and went on to win $2.5 million in the World Series of Poker in 2003. Since then, PokerStars has gone on to lead the way in poker, gaining a Guinness World Record for the world's largest ever poker tournament, award winning customer support, and most recently, breaking the record for the largest-ever online poker tournament series when over 500,000 players competed for $65,332,179 in prize pools in the 2012 Spring Championship of Online Poker.

Hi there,

I've been playing poker on the Partypoker platform for a couple of months and apart from many other inconvenients like very few players and hallucinating, unreal hand generated by the defective software now I discovered another problem.
I registered a 3$ tournament, the money has been taken from my account, they showed up in the In play section, but when I checked again, the tournament had already begun but my table window never appeared for me. The money were still in the In play section. I press the refresh option, the 3$ go away but not to my account.
Later on the same day it happened again.

It seems the Customer Service cannot do anything about it.
See below the answer I received from them:

“Dear xxxxx,
Thank you for contacting Customer Service.

You can the transaction history by following below steps.
Log into your account
Click on Transaction history then select from and to dates and submit.
In case you have further questions, we will be more than happy to assist you. We are available 24/7.
Thank you for choosing us as your online gaming site.
Best regards,
Manoj
Customer Service”

I personally don't want to have anything to do with the Patry Poker platform anymore.

At least Pokerstars has more players and no software issues like this piece of shit platform.:warning

According to the latest PokerStars announcement, the online poker room has cancelled its August Macau Poker Cup and has not yet confirmed other special poker events in Macau for the rest of 2012. However, the Macau Poker Cup: Red Dragon will be held from June 9 to June 18 as scheduled at Grand Waldo Entertainment Complex. PokerStars says that it had to cancel the Macau Poker Cup, scheduled to be held in August because of events beyond its reasonable control.” The online poker room has not given any other reason. Recently, PokerStars released its schedule for the ninth season of the European Poker Tour (EPT) with several changes. PokerStars has reduced the number of EPT events to a mere seven from thirteen although each stop will be extended to include plenty of poker action thanks to EPT’s partnership deals with the Estrellas Poker Tour and the UK and Ireland Poker Tour.

The Southern District of New York court has granted an extension to Absolute Poker, PokerStars, and Full Tilt Poker to respond to the civil complaint filed against them by the US Department of Justice (DoJ). According to the complaint, the executive officers of Full Tilt Poker, including players Howard Lederer, Rafe Furst, and Chris Ferguson and Ray Bitar, the chief executive officer, cheated Full Tilt Poker’s loyal players of millions of dollars and used these funds for their own lavish lifestyles. A latest amendment to the civil complaint filed against Full Tilt Poker accuses the online poker room of being a global Ponzi scheme. A complaint was initially filed against the three poker rooms in April this year, indicting the trio on multiple counts of money laundering, illegal gambling, and bank fraud.

US attorney Bharara has stated that Full Tilt Poker was running an illegal online poker business in the US. He also stated that Full Tilt Poker’s directors and executive officers filled their own pockets with player funds and that they did not tell their players the entire truth regarding security issues.

The US federal government had filed three separate copies of the complaint against the three online poker rooms on Nov 20 and the companies were expected to file a response before Nov 30, but now the three have been granted an extension till Jan 2, 2012. The reason for the extension was certain legal papers filed by poker players Rafe Furst and Howard Lederer in the US court.

On Nov 28, Rafe Furst and Howard Lederer quoted the Supplemental Rules for Admiralty and Maritime Claims G(5), according to which they claimed funds confiscated by the DoJ. Shortly thereafter, Chris Ferguson and Ray Bitar also followed suit.

Ferguson has claimed funds in several frozen bank accounts and has mentioned that Vantage Ltd. and Kolyma Corporation AVV have rights to the funds seized by the DoJ. He has made a list of several bank accounts and has claimed a total of $98,276,540 from these accounts.

The Full Tilt Poker website has a copy of the Stipulation and Order of the New York district court, as per which the online poker room is conducting talks with the US federal government and requires an extension to file its response to the civil complaint filed by DoJ against it. Similar documents are also available at PokerStars and Absolute Poker.

On Monday, PokerStars announced $5 million in guaranteed prize pools for the second installment of MicroMillions, a popular tournament series designed for recreational and micro-stakes players. The online poker festival will take place from July 12 through 22 and features affordable buy-ins from 11 cents up to $22 across 100 tournaments.

Events will run around the clock during the 11-day series, which will culminate with a $22 MicroMillions Main Event with a $1 million prize pool — with $150,000 guaranteed to the winner — on Sunday, July 22. The series will feature all of your favorite poker variants, plus a wide variety of formats like turbos, rebuys, shootouts, knockouts, and big-ante events.

The first MicroMillions festival set a record for the most popular online poker tournament series of all time, with a total of 1,294,883 entries. Main Event winner, "Zabaleta1" turned his $22 buy-in into a $140,000 payday (as part of a three-way deal) after winning the tournament from a field of 54,065.

Team PokerStars Pro Marcin "Goral" Horecki won the first MicroMillions Player of the Series leaderboard and scooped a 2013 PokerStars Caribbean Adventure package worth $15,000.

"It’s a fantastic series for players of all levels," Horecki said. "Last time I tried to play as many events as possible and it turned out to be a great move for me. The very affordable buy-in levels are perfect for micro-stakes players who dream of winning a huge prize but often don’t have the chance."
