Does anyone have a clue what happened on June 1st.
From what I have found, not much happened.

If anyone has a clue and can say something.
I'd like to know.

Otherwise, I will just stumble through the ether :dirol
and blame governments for raking my pots.

That pokerlistings article from 27th november 2009 was just explaining that the UIGEA was delayed 6 months.

From what I can see the UIGEA has not been delayed again.

The UIGEA was postponed 6 months from 1st dec 2009 until 1st june 2010 with the help of the PPA petition, banks, industry and individuals from the congress.

What happens now is that banks (financial institutions) is now legally responsible for complying with the UIGEA. Most of them already did this 1st dec though.

Cardplayer tells us more exactly what happened 1st june 2010 with the unlawful internet gambling enforcement act.

At least one poker site that I know of, Doyles, has implemented a $50 charge for checks issued to US players. If you're a big time winner, I guess fifty bucks matters not. That's a helluva chunk out of low stakes players' bankrolls though. In this state of economic crisis, why does the US Government not simply decide to regulate, and reap the benefits here that are obvious? Regulation of US Poker sites would be a good thing for players too.

Because they would rather try to legislate morality.

I really believe that it's less about money than imposing their moral views.

You were asking about ways to find poker money. I founded this site awhile ago and the whole intention of this site is to help poker players increase their bankroll. There is NO money involved on your end. It is a simple GPT site that will deposit to a poker site. I am working on getting merge on there... but they require certain criteria to be able to process PTP transfers. Check the site out in my signature... there are also 4 poker free rolls set up for this month....

U ppl are tryin way 2 hard to make a deposit.if its this hard to deposit i couldn't imagine what it would take to withdraw.i hav money on both cake and merge networks, and im a U.S player.i hav never deposited a dime.I got my start from winning freerolls,.cake poker has 3 options 4 withdrawing and none of them puts money on any credit card.they will send a check min of 500 dollars, , they require all kinds of info. cuz the other two options require setting up accounts with walletxpress and ewallet, both of them want u to send them hundreds of dollars 4 them to hold 4 six months to maintain your account and they also require an american bank account.
i'm gonna try the check for $500 next week and see what happens:mad::helpme

I guess its good news that the UIGEA was delayed. barney frank and others that are fighting for our rights will eventually succeed so keep the faith. i read someone mention obama in this thread, in case you didn't know all of this came about way before he ever took office, this started when bush was in office. i think it will be delayed again until they find a way to regulate it legally, there is a lot of money to be made by the gov't. they are not gonna just give it away.

If you need to deposit at a site, its best to contact that sites customer service and talk to them, unless someone already has,and can help update us here.

The last time I withdrew from cake/doyles n skins,I used usemywallet/quicktender.They charge a flat $30,for withdrawing from them,,but no charge for getting your money off a poker site.

Another note;ewalletxpress has stopped taking WestVirginia customers without explanation ,which is a really big pain, after going thru the verification processes.

Think whatever misguided thoughts you want to about Obama - he's a centrist corporatist Democrat, not a socialist ; the REPUBLICANS are responsible for this mess - namely John Kyl of Arizona and Bill Frist from 2006. Educate yourself.

Why doesn't Obama stop this nightmare?

Been paying attention to the country lately? And how it's falling apart, especially with the Gulf Oil Gusher?

Congress has way too much on its hands.

Once a law is passed it is very difficult to undo. Political inertia as it were.

I hope you voted Democrat in 2004 and 2006 and 2008. You voted Republican? You didn't even vote? Oh too bad, UIGEA got passed because of your help.

Not only did I get an automated call from Netspend saying no workie workie no more,

I got an EMAIL saying, "We've noticed you've used your Netspend card for internet gambling in the past".

So they knew all along! (had the card and used it for at least 2 years)

There is NO Other card that will work now. Looks like Western Union, MoneyGram, money orders, and Usemywallet / Ewalletexpress. Watch the USA poker economy slowly dry up. The people that say it'll just be a "bump in the road" are being too optimistic in my opinion. Thank you mr. Bill Frist & John Kyl!

My netspend prepaid visa card still has been working. I just made a deposit today (june 6) at Betjamaica using netspend and it went through without a hitch.

As someone else had already pointed out, this problem came from the other side. If you are really worried about loss of political/civil rights look to the right. It's not socialism you should be worried about but the far right pushing us towards a fascist state.

Well.. some sites will allow you to use echeck to deposit.. that is a great way, but of course not all sites utilize this. Credit cards are usable more so than most of us think. If you make an attempt at using a credit card.. and it gets stopped by your card company... you can call them up and give them permission to allow the charge. It has worked for me on 2 occasions.

I also heard that the thing for the 1st of June would be delayed..and so it was. This is a good thing.... we just need to keep encouraging our congressmen & women to get Barney Franks bill passed and get something underway to allow US players to play anywhere ... this could be done by getting a bill passed to make way for regulation and taxing of online poker. It's a no brainer.. but then again.. brains and US congress may just be the problem LOL!:1orglaugh
