One question: freeroll or buy-in?

If it was a freeroll then I'm not surprised at all. Might as well be in a bingo parlor in so many of those games. . .

If it was a buy-in, then this player was a poker dunce with a capital D and you got unlucky against him. . .

The other question you have to ask is: was he priced in? I'll often call with any two cards if i'm in the blind and I'm big stacked against smaller stacks. If its less than 10% of my stack and I'm getting in for a discount, why wouldn't I call.
