So you think poker is rigged right ?

I saw this Q&A on a much respected pro's blog (Eric 'Rizen' Lynch) and thought it quite interesting for ppl here to mull over.

Q: I am posing a question which no doubt will be met with blanket denial by those who have the ability to address such matters. The majority of the responses will tell me that I must have terrible "leaks" in my game. Others will tell me that I am imagining things. I have played online (at several different sites for years now), and I have played live for far longer than that. I have been aware for some time now, through my own experiences, and through word of mouth (from countless players more experienced than I) that online software is designed to create larger pots.

Jake Green(Revolver): "One thing I've learned in the last seven years: in every game and con there's always an opponent, and there's always a victim. The trick is to know when you're the latter, so you can become the former."

I certainly want to believe that everything's in the up and up, but lately I've just been able to call -- sometimes to myself, sometimes to the table -- the beat card that's coming on the river with regularity. I'm thinking of starting to get fitted for my tin-foil hat. . .

Doesn't help that I am more than a little skeptical by nature which is what's kept me from depositing on any room since I deposited on PokerStars. . .

On line poker creates larger pots because of the countless number of "DONKS". You don't find this in live games because there is no anonymity.

I play both online and live also, I still can't be 100% sure that online poker doesn't juice the decks to create more action. I have to believe they don't, otherwise why play. But a year ago I won a bunch of money, starting with a small win in a fr, then lost it all. During the losing streak, it seemed every tournament I'd get close to the bubble and someone would reraise me with something ridiculous, (one time only 1 or 2 from the money, I put in a good sized bet with A A from early pos., had been playin super tight, and someone reraises allin with 2 2, of course he hits the 2). Anyway, for a short while, I started keeping track to allin's when someone is dominated, 3 outs or less. Well, I know I didn't do it long enough to really prove anything, but the 3 outers (or less) won way more then they should of close to 50% preflop . That's why I'd like to see it regulated in US. I would feel a little more confident, then again maybe not.

It's true, we are just playing an oversized fruit machine. The hands are rigged to level everything out. Sometimes it is better to just play loose as hell and hope people fold n give you the chips.
