Robots Not Welcome

Reply Subscribe
Robots are computer programs that either assist, or in some cases, replace the human player at the online poker table. The software calculates hand probabilities and bets based on those calculations, eliminating much of the strategy of the game and improving its owner’s odds by only playing the most winnable hands.

As more players attempt to make money playing poker, robots have become more attractive. Players can maintain a large number of games simultaneously without making careless mistakes. In addition, players are able to reprogram the software, changing the playing style and making it virtually impossible to detect.

While people enjoy the help of automated aids throughout their daily lives, one place they don’t want to see them interfering is at their favorite online card rooms. Automated poker software, also known as robots, are not welcome at the poker table and have become a very sore subject for many players, as well as Internet poker rooms like PokerStars, Full Tilt Poker, PartyPoker and the rest.

Not certain if it possible at all to detect them. But really think that in the end a HUMAN player will beat a bot every time.

I couldnt figure why some of the bets/calls were made

I started watching even closer

I have a hard enough time learning the game of poker and to think somebody has to cheat with the help of a computer program. Well that just ain't right.
