Poker player 'Mike Sexton' made several predictions about the direction that poker legislation is heading this year. And if his predictions are anything to go by, we are going to see some huge changes on the poker landscape in 2010.

What are his predictions? I hope they are that this country is going to legalize online poker. It seems to be getting harder to load an account. Have to depend on freerolls to get any money on the sites. My only concern is how much is the gov't going to take if they legalize it.

Who knows what they're going to do.
If its legalized there will be heavy taxes leveyd, which is going to suck.
Problem is there is no legislating body, they're providing no services to the players or the company to warrant the taxation of the moneys to and from the sites.
Same deal with the boston tea party 'n a whole country was built around that.
Mike the mouths little brother was talkin abotu this on his live webcast the other day 'n he had some very interesting comentary along those lines.
I'll see if I can find it 'n link it here,

I'm afraid when the government gets into it, it's just going to screw things up even worse. The the main reason things suck now is because the US passed a stupid law. I doubt that legislation will actually make it better. I have a feeling it's going to be hard and expensive for the poker rooms to comply with any legislation and that's going to make it worse for the players. We'll see. 😔
