Scientists at the McGill University of Montreal measured the levels of stress hormone cortisol of a number of subjects who were playing online poker. The study revealed that people's level of cortisol decreased by as much as 17% when they were playing on the Internet.

Most on line poker players enjoy gambling and playing cards. Makes sense that doing something you enjoy would reduce stress. I often wind down after work with a cold beer and a $2.00 tourney.

[FONT=Franklin Gothic Medium]There are definitely times when online poker helps reduce my stress -- when it's a good game with good people and it's not necessarily an out-to-kill game -- and others when it just sends it through the roof -- when you're in a large meadow full or donks and maniacs and trying to survive. But that probably says more about me than the game itself. . .[/FONT]

Ya i find that poker playing for me is a good way to relax and forget about all the crap going on till the next day comes:confused:
