Saw these mentioned on another thread. I used to play in these when I saw them. What is the prize pool? Mafialife dollars or something like that. What are they and what can they be used for. Any one know I'd love to find out, maybe start playin again. Thanks for any info.

I had asked someone else about these at one time, as they never seem to have an cash or T$ prize pool attached to them. Well, it did ONE time I played one, but have never seen another since that one. Someone told me these payout in Mafialife points or "cash" that can be used in some "Mafialife" world -- guess it's one of those virtual game worlds that I've never been interested enough to investigate. . .

From what I understand, the free rolls are a 1st place only winner. That winner receives Mafia Life cash points. Mafia Life is an online fantasy game. Kinda pointless unless you need the practice or are a Mafia Life junkie.

I was guessing its the same mafia life BS you see on facebook. Must be worth it to some people. Seams completely retarded to me. Try asking someone at a table when a tourney is going. I'm guessing those winners can help you out.

While not a bad idea to use them to gather Bodog points to use towards points buy-ins, I'd much rather be playing something else if I have the option. . .

you don't have to actually play to get the pts. Register and sit out, I know that isn't your style Steve, but it is for mafia life cash, need I say more.

I don't know about these ones, but the reg $500 freerolls I definately get points when I sitout. I try to register every night (and the 2:40 one when I can) even if I can't play and I usually get around 1 pt. if I can't play. Not much but helps me get to the 30 faster so I can play the smaller field 30pt freeroll. I'm going to try the mafia ones and sitout and see if I get any pts for them, I'll let you know.

What they are probably referring to is ring games. You don't pts for sitting out at any site in a ring game. At carbon I think you only get pts for rakes that you contributed to, which I don't like at all. You used to get pts just for being at the table, everyone got the same based on the rake of each hand. Now, if you play tight you don't as many pts, kinda punishes you for playing right. But this is the bodog thread so I'll stop now.

Unfortunately (:1orglaugh) Steve, I won the ixgames tourney yesterday, so when I got my pts for time played, I got too many to tell if any were for the mafialife game I sat out in. Oh well, give me a couple days to get rid of these chips and I'll try again. 😁

Take your time, madjek, I have enjoy points right now for four 30pt freerolls now anyway -- if I had the time to play them. Unfortunately they start too late for me during the week. . .

If that is the case Steve, then I would suggest to keep building them up to 500 and cash em in for $5.00. Sounds like you have 120 now, so you're about 1/4 of the way there. I think thats what going to try to do instead of staying up half the night and winning $1.75, if I'm lucky. Hopefully I can continue to build my BR, got the $20 from the freeroll up to $30. That can disappear though, trying to use good BRM, but thats tough when its so low, hopefully can get it over $100.

Sounds like you're working the 'roll you've got well, but like you say, it can disappear in a hurry if you hit a cold streak or you're not playing the right limits for how much you have in it. . . :crying G'luck 'rolling it up & over 3 figures. . .

Yeah, I keep forgetting that Bodog will let you cash in your points. Thanks for the reminder. . . :thumbsup

I played the $500 freeroll last night -- hadn't done that in a while. It starts an hours earlier than the $300 points so there's a chance I can finish or at least cash in before I have to sit out so I can go to sleep. Probably added about 1.5 points or so for making it to the top 600 of the 4700 starters. . . :1orglaugh

Came in 2nd in tonights mafiaopen freeroll on bodog. I play it for the free player points. Usually I sit out, but when I first started tonight, no one was in the room with me, so I got to $16,000 chips before anyone arrived. Ended up head to head with 140,000 chips to 181,000 chips. Lost when my 2 pairs 5's and 8's did not stand up against 2 pairs 5's and King's.
