You have the lowest amount of chips on the final table. Do you stand a chance on becoming ending in the top 3? If so what is the best way to get there?
Well, you haven't really said just how shortstacked you are compared to the rest of the table. . .or how many players at the final table for that matter. . .6? 9? 10?
But, as long as you've still got chips you've got a chance -- chip 'n' a chair. Now, how realistic the odds of it happening is another thing altogether. . .

There are 9 people a the table, you have under 5,000 chips. Next lowest is 9,000 and it goes as far up as over 50,000
Well, if you've got 5K in chips at the final table I would imagine that this is deep into the tournament. You must be under 10BB left by now and maybe antes nibbling away at your stack every hand. So, what are you waiting to push all-in with? Or are you going to try to fold your way up the pay ladder hoping others bust before you?

In these circumstances I am quite happy to play it slower and take a slightly higher place while still having the chance to pick up a couple of great hands along the way and go further.
But if all the bigger money is concentrated in, say the top three places, then there is no point in waiting and hoping, use your remaining stack as strongly as you can while you still have some fold equity, and if necessary take a chance to double or triple up and get to the top. It all depends...
