Isildur! v. Hastings Terms of Service Violation?

Reply Subscribe
There is an article at HighStakesNews.com that discusses the Isildur1/Hastings head up matches. It seems that Hastings, Brian Townsend, and (maybe) Cole South shared a hand history database of Isildur1's hands.

Full Tilt terms:

“Shared hand history databases and “data mining” software, including subscription services and the exchange of personal databases: The use of shared hand histories provides detailed information on opponents a player has little or no personal experience playing against, and is deemed to be an unfair advantage. Violating this policy is subject to the maximum penalties for prohibited software use.

Players are not permitted to use the hand histories for hands that they have not personally participated in. Software designed to collect hand history information from games that the player did not participate in is prohibited.”

Do you consider this cheating?

I think Hastings wrote on his twitter that he was the only one at fault...he had looked at South's hand history which he admits is wrong..I guess he is getting his red "pro" color taken away for a month.

I though Townsend was getting his RedPro status banned for a month. He amitted on his blog:

I wanted to clear up some allegations about Brian Hastings, Cole South and myself. First Brian H. Cole S and myself never colluded. Collusion is nearly impossible HU but there was always one person playing and never any ghosting occurring. In fact the only person to break the T&C of FullTilt Poker was myself. I had about 20k hands of play on Isildur and I acquired another 30k hands. This is against the T&C of FullTilt Poker and because of this violation I am going to have my red pro status suspended for one month.

Did Hastings get suspended, also?

Yeah, he obtained hand histories so he could analyze them so he'd know how to play better against Isildur1 which is technically cheating. I don't think it's really bad cheating but he should and did get penalized.

If you or I break the TOC we would be banned. WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE😟?

the use of some tools is prohibited...specifically dataming hands you have NOT played in...he did this and therefore HAS broken the rules

to say it's not much is no excuse...he either did or didn't there is no grey area here

HE said he did.....

what do you think would happen to you or me....i think i can guess

it cost isildur 4 million...I'd be looking for a refund if i was him!

tell him to contact FT support :1orglaugh:1orglaugh:1orglaugh

might here back in 2012.....

Isildur gave an interview at Poker News in which he said he'll probably make a formal complaint to Full Tilt. He thinks he should get some of the money back that he lost because the hand sharing is against the rules and gave Hastings an advantage over him. He also said he wouldn't be playing much in the meantime...The interview can be found here: PokerNews Exclusive: Isildur1 Speaks About his $4 Million Loss to Brian Hastings | PokerNews

If he lost money during the session i think he should be repaid by the player who abused the rules. a slap on the wrist by taking the red off of his name is fine as long as the debt is paid in my opinion.

Isildur1 did an interview with Poker News on this subject. He is going to file a complaint with Full Tilt, and try to get some or all his money back.

This is Townsends second time breaking the rules. Earlier he multi-accounted
getting suspended for 6 months. I think most would have been banned for life.

Rulez are there for a reason,if someone breaks the rules, the punishment should fit the crime, and the same for everyone, pro or not.

Disgusting to see a pro cheat! The money should be given back and an outright suspension should occur for 3 months.

So if the big boys will cheat to get an advantage, for sure the little guys will cheat. Be careful who you play with. I was in a tourney today and realized I was the only US player at the table. The other seven where from Russia. Wow. X

They should loose the redpro status for life imo
for simple integrity of the site/game etc.
