I have heard people using various “helping” software while playing online. Can I have some information about these software and in what manner they are helpful?
There is also a program called SNG Wizard that helps improve your SNG play.
The two main software programs players use is Poker Tracker and Hold'em Manager. These two program track your hand histories, storing information on your opponents play.
There is also a program called SNG Wizard that helps improve your SNG play.
There is also the poker calculators, they give you the % odds to a hand to be made, it helps players that find hard to count outs, also help when need to push preflop or for starting hands, but is more for new players, after time you really do not need them.
Some apps will give you infos on upcoming tournaments, mostly overlays. :thumbsup
Others will give you the opportunity to track your play and work on your own weaknesses. Let's say that they are all interesting, but none are sufficient in itself. :dirol

what such software your website allows.
Many online players use poker tracking software namely Poker Tracker 3 to improve their game. It helps them compute even more than they can when playing in a live game. Such software lets to keep track of players betting patterns, win patterns and much much more.
It also helped improve my live game by getting me to observe all the right things at the table.
There are numerous other software like Texas Hold em manager, odds calculator available for free(trail) or paid specifically designed for helping pros in online poker.
Glad I could help.

Choose pokertracker or HoldemManager, both are very popular and widely used. You won't find them free, rather than this think of them as a good investments.
Websites (i.e your poker room), specifies what software you are “allowed to use”? So confirm whether you are allowed to use these from your room. Likewise Pokerstars.com mentions what tools and services you are allowed to use.
They prohibit certain software(tools), some all of the time and some.
Better check your website first.
