According to the Guinness Book of World Records, which verified the results, September 6th saw PokerStars defeat its own world record for most players hosted by an online poker room. On that day, during which the WCOOP was in full swing, PokerStars recorded 307,016 players taking part in tournament, cash game, and free poker games on the site. Players were arranged around 42,814 tables and, once verified by Guinness record-keepers, smashed the previous mark by over 100,000.

I tried for a week to get a deposit through to play and never got in.
i use pokerstars alot, and its famously known for the huge ammount of sitouts they have.. that would not be actual playing.
i did good in the wccop because of the amount of sitouts, i couldnt belive such people would be missing a good tournament.. a waste of money!!
sure pokerstars would win any challenge of hosting the biggest tournament, because they merely hand out the entries to enter such tournaments.
i appreciate how easy they make it for us to enter such lucrious tournaments.
however if there is a record to be set.. be honest.
